NONDISCLOSURE AND RELEASE BOND
Know all Men by these Presents, that Tonja Catherine Burden of 210 California st., Las Vegas, Nevada (hereinafter called the Obligor) is held and firmly bound to the Church of Scientology of California (Hereinafter called 'the Church'), a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California, and having its principal place of business at Clearwater, Florida and Los angeles, Calif., in the sum of 10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Dollars) to be paid to the said Church, its executors, administrators, or assigns, of liquidated damages and not as a penalty, for the payment of which sum, well and truly to be made, the Obligor hereby binds himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns firmly by these presents.
WHEREAS the Church has hired or otherwise employed the Obligor
AND WHEREAS Obligor is employed by the Church and is receiving the services and ministrations of the Church,
NOW THEREFORE the above written obligation is conditioned to be void in case the Obligor shall hereafter well and truly agree that he/she will never disclose any information, data, or knowledge he/she has or will learn about the organization of the Church, or any of the Church's affiliated Churches, Missions or Organizations including but not limited to their internal structures, functions or activities, and certain information which may be orally imparted to the Obligor in the course of his/her having been or being a staff member of the Church. The Obligor recognizes that any information or knowledge gathered is done so in a relationship of trust and confidence. The Obligor recognizes that he/she will have a fiduciary duty to the Church not to reveal any information of any nature which might tend to harm, malign, damage, or injure or adversely affect the Church in any of its activities or conduct.
Inasmuch as the actual damages which would result from a breach of the Obligor of his/her duties under this agreement, are uncertain and would be impractical or extremely difficult to fix, the Obligor promises to pay to the Church the above mentioned sum of $10,000.00 for each such breach.
Obligor also releases the Church from any and all claims which may exist now but are not known, by hereby expressly waiving the provisions of Section 1542 of the Civil Code of California, which reads in full as follows:
"Section 1542. (Certain claims not affected by general release.) A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him must have materially affected the settlement of the debtor."
In the event any provision hereof shall be illegal or unenforceable, then and in any such event, the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion and provisions hereof.

RELEASE
This instrument executed this 17th day of December, 1977, by Tonja Catherine Burden of 210 East California Street, City of Las Vegas, County of ___________, State of Nevada, herein called "Releasor".
WHEREAS, Releasor has received pastoral counseling and ministerial training services from the Church of Scientology and has found these services to be beneficial to himself and has been fully satisfied with the results of these services; and
WHEREAS, Releasor has demonstrated by his own actions that he cannot be trusted to completely and continually uphold the Church's high ethical standards of behavior; and
WHEREAS, Releasor further desires, of his own free will, to continue to receive the pastoral counseling and ministerial training services offered by the Church;
NOW THEREFORE, Releasor, in consideration of the valuable services provided by the Church to Releasor and the further consideration of the Church releasing Releasor from any claims which the Church may presently have against Releasor, hereby agrees and covenants as follows:
1. The Releasor on behalf of himself, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby fully releases and discharges L. Ron Hubbard, any person, any Scientology Church, their assigns and successors from all rights, claims, or any action upon Releasor and his above mentioned successors now have against L. Ron Hubbard, any person, any Scientology Church, their assigns and successors.
2. Releasor [illegible] releases the same parties enumerated above from any and all claim that may now exist but are unknown, by hereby expressly waiving the provisions of Section 1542 of the Civil Code of the State of California, which reads in full as follows:
"Section 1542. (Certain claims not affected by general release.) A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him must have materially affected the settlement of the debtor."
This release is freely and voluntarily executed by Releasor.
The Releasor has read this release and understands the terms used herein and the consequences resulting therefrom.
In the event any provision hereof shall be illegal or unenforceable, then in any such event, the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion or provisions hereof. This agreement shall inure to the benefit of and shall be binding upon the parties hereof, their successors, assigns, personal representatives, heirs, [illegible] In the event of litigation, the prevailing parties shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney's fees and other costs incurred in the enforcement of the terms of this agreement.
