The Book of the Dead and Elysian Fields

That's French for "the ancient system," as in the ancient system of feudal privileges and the exercise of autocratic power over the peasants. The ancien regime never goes away, like vampires and dinosaur bones they are always hidden in the earth, exercising a mysterious influence. It is not paranoia to believe that the elites scheme against the common man. Inform yourself about their schemes here.

29 - (Thebes) Mortuary Chapels of the Nobles -- The Mortuary Chapel of Menna (superintendent of the estates of the king and of Amen, at the middle of the 18th dynasty). -- In the top row from left to right, a boy walks along driving an animal, and carrying a small kid. Menna waits under a canopy to watch the arrival of a boat from some other part of his estates. A servant receives the passengers as they come ashore, and sailors are beaten for being late of arrival. In the second row, scenes of winnowing and threshing are illustrated.

30 - (Thebes) Mortuary Chapel of the Nobles -- The Mortuary Chapel of Menna (a superintendent of the estates of the king and of Amen, at the middle of the 18th dynasty). -- Menna and his family are seen amongst the reeds in a boat, first spearing fish and then boomeranging birds, which are retrieved by a cat and ichneumon. The boomerang has been carefully cut in two, so that the sport may be spoilt. Butterflies are seen overhead, while in the water fish and crocodiles are shown. Upon the surface, ducks swim amongst the lotus-flowers. There is here a charming figure of a girl leaning from the boat to pluck one of these luxuriant water plants. Farther Menna and his wife are receiving offerings.
