[Bishop Barber] ... of America he said he could end conflicts in other
parts of the world with a phone call but wars of aggression rage on he said he
could unite us we're more divided he said he was going to stand up for working people but he handed the
government over to a billionaire before their big bad breakup he said he'd bring
prices down but his wild talk about tariffs has created economic uncertainty
he said he could deal with with Gaza and deal with Ukraine and things have gotten
worse he said his budget was big and beautiful but the truth is is big and
greedy and ugly and destructive and deadly to the most vulnerable
ezra joined us last week as we've been gathering for moral Mondays in DC since
this big ugly budget bill has been before Congress they have arrested us
but they've not stopped our prayers or our prophetic critique to arrest the consciousness of America
americans are learning the details of how this big
ugly deadly bad bill would kill tens of thousands of people in our communities
by stripping health insurance from 15 million Americans closing hospitals
slashing nutrition assistance program leaving millions of hungry children
cutting thousands of jobs supported by green energy crisis and according to a
report from the public health scholars at Yale and the University of Pennsylvania the cuts to health care
alone would kill 51,000 Americans next year
and the more people learn about its details the less popular Trump's
signature legislation becomes law and his attempt to move more money from the
poor and working poor to the wealthy than was transferred during child slavery and because of this you cannot
be silent and the cries of the people will not be silent
that is why this regime is in panic and when an
authoritarian is weak he will do anything to get attention but we don't
have to give Trump and MAGA what they want
we don't have to bow by waving a flag at his parade
our demonstration of moral strength is in opposition to the tyranny that
threatens our very existence as a country and this kind of gathering can
unite us in a moral movement to save America and we will not stand down not
now not ever
because the truth is when it comes to the need to stand up for the Constitution over a ruler who would
ignore the courts we are indivisible when it comes to the need to repair
breaches between those who have health care and those who don't we are indivisible when it comes to the
conviction that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect we are
indivisible when it comes to our commitment that no child should go hungry in this the richest nation in the
world we are indivisible and when it comes to the essential role of
government to serve the people rather than to serve a king we are indivisible
[Applause] now might I close as a preacher
in the book of Daniel in the Bible there is an ancient story where three young men Shedrach Meak and Abedneo they were
thrown into a fiery furnace for their refusal to bow they refused to bow to a
king that loved to put his name on buildings and ride around and make everybody bow to him where they were
thrown in and they were not consumed however by the flames of the furnace
instead as they were thrown in the people witnessed a fourth force come in
and walk them through the fire my fellow Americans I stopped by this afternoon to
remind you that when we tap into our moral power and refuse to bow there is a
greater power in the universe that will come and stand with us
in the final years of the anti-aparttheid struggle in South Africa
they used to say only a dying mule kicks the hardest so we must maintain
discipline refuse to meet violence with violence and keep our focus on an agenda
that lifts us all to higher ground we must join hands across all the lines
that have been drawn to divide us and stand together as we the people and when
we do I know a force more powerful than any of our individual actions will come
and stand with us in the fire that's what the best of American history has
taught us i stopped by to tell you and remind you today that the force of truth
the force of love the force of justice and the force of equality is more
powerful than any wouldbe king more powerful more powerful than brute force
more powerful than mean money more powerful than big tech feudalism more
powerful than anything we know when we stand up and when we stand together and
when we refuse to bow we can build a movement to save the heart and soul of
America are you standing when the founders refused to bow to King
George a fourth force stood with them when the slave abolitionists right here
in Philadelphia black and white refused to bow to the king-like rule of child
slavery and slave masters a fourth voice stood with them when women black and
white refused to bow to those who didn't want them to vote a fourth force stood
with them when segregationists and Jim Crow politicians lips dripped with the words of interposition and nullification
people like Rosa Parks and Viola Lewusa and Fanny Lou and Martin and Rabbi
Hesshel men and women of every birth refused to bow and a fourth force stood
with them and I tell you the force of truth and the force of love and the
force of equality and the force of justice is more powerful than any would be king named Trump or MAGA or anything
and so it's time it's time for us to stand together like
never before because when we all get together we have the power to reconstruct American democracy did you
know that if just 20% of us if we organized 20% of the nonvoters in the
last election especially poor and low-wage voters who couldn't see how casting a ballot could make a difference
in their lives if we can organize them we can upend the whole political
calculus if we go to every state not just the so-called swing states but
every state and if we win back some of our confused friends we can upend the
whole political calculus if we refuse to bow and stand up for policies that make
life better for every American if we come together just one more round just
one more round in history to fight for the heart and soul of this democracy i
declare unto you that when the work is done when we finish organizing when
we've done praying and preaching when we finish marching when we finish registering voters when we finish our
nonviolent action I guarantee you truth will win justice will win equality will
win justice will win and on that day we will truly be one nation under God
indivisible with liberty and justice fall
stand stand stand stand hallelujah
[Applause] [Music]
rasin is it's a tough and a loving city and you know how to topple kings here
you've been crushing tyrants since 1776
[Applause] we come together as Reverend Barber says in the spirit of democratic nonviolent
resistance we pray for the families of Minnesota State Representative Melissa
Hortman and her husband Mark and for Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman and his wife these are our brothers and
sisters in the struggle for a more just America shot down in cold blood and
broad daylight and we pray for them and all of the people of Minnesota
but the spirit of Philadelphia is the spirit of America we've got no kings
here we've got no queens here we've got no emperors we've got no titles of
nobility here president Trump happy 79th birthday sorry we couldn't
make it to your party but we did pay for it
you are not our king and we are not your subjects we will never be your subjects
the people are sovereign and we are all equal in the eyes of the law all of us born here on this land are
citizens and your executive order is nothing but bad graffiti on the
Constitution and we're going to wash it off today [Applause]
we've got no kings and we've got no slaves we've got no masters and no surfs
those of us who aspire and attain the public office are nothing but the servants of the people and the moment
that somebody in public office begins to act like the master of the people that is the moment to evict eject reject
impeach try convict and start all over again
under Article One President Trump your job is simple to take care that the laws
are faithfully executed that's it in the monarchies Tom Payne said "The
king is the law." But in the democracies in the free societies the law is king
but you didn't get that memo did you Mr president you've been violating the law you've been trampling the law you've
been ignoring the law acting as if it's irrelevant to the only thing that matters which is your own wealth and
power what if Thomas Jefferson were here what if Abraham Lincoln were here what would they say they would say "Cut it
out stop violating the rights of the people stop trespassing on the powers of
Congress stop staging provocations against the members of Congress and
other parts of the government stop violating the orders of the courts
president Trump your gangster state just threw Senator Padilla to the ground
kneelled on his back and handcuffed him
your agents barged into Congressman Nadler's office and handcuffed and
traumatized his young staffer your guys arrested a judge in Wisconsin you
indicted Representative Lam Monica MacGyver from New Jersey on phony
charges and she now faces 17 years in prison
you're terrorizing American communities with masked men in unmarked cars
arresting people without warrants you
you pardoned 1,600 felon rioters and insurrectionists who brutally injured
140 police officers on January 6 2021
you're auctioning off pardons to Republican criminals in DC like they're
selling cheese stakes in Philadelphia you're a billiondoll crypto king now who
dropped dozens of charges against crypto scammers and now you want to fly around
on bribe force one an illegal $400 million jumbo jet gift grift from the
amirs of Qatar you sent the Marines to California you
hijacked the National Guard there you threatened to seize the lawful power of the governor of California the mayor of
Los Angeles and the chief of police and you threatened to send heavy force to
cities all over America this weekend to remind us of your love
but you know what i don't see anybody trembling in Philadelphia today
i don't see anybody hiding behind the couch crying bone spurs today
it's raining and I see nothing but tens of thousands of patriots wherever I turn
and we paid for our own rally today it's not on the taxpayers
[Applause] we march with millions of people across America to celebrate not the people in
power but the power of the people
we march in cadence with the great civilizing nonviolent movements of American history the abolitionists the
suffragists the bonus marchers the civil rights movement the women's movement the
labor movement the peace movement the women's march the environmental movement
the LGBTQ movement March for Our Lives and the Climate Movement we may not be
founding fathers in the 18th century but we are founding fighters in the 21st
century so what do you say Philly you ready to
fight back [Applause] you want a gangster state or do you want
free speech and democracy in America
you want a king you want a king who thinks like all kings that women are his property and he can grab whomever he
wants wherever he wants or do you want a democracy run by strong
women and strong men strong enough to be the allies of women and not their
attackers and harassers
you want a king who stages coups and insurrections and lies about elections
or do you want a constitutional right to vote in America
[Applause] free from all the gerrymandering and voter suppression do you want an
imperialist takeover of Greenland and Canada and Panama
or do you want statehood for Washington DC and Puerto Rico
hey you want a a king who tries to erase history and disappear the truth or do
you want Bruce Springsteen who tells them the truth all over the world
[Music] you know Donald Trump never talks about the framers because he knows nothing
about them but the framers knew a lot about people like Donald Trump sometime
between now and the 4th of July mr president you must read the Declaration of Independence because Thomas Jefferson
could have been writing about you he told the people of America to rise up
against King George and his lust for absolute tyranny jefferson denounced a
king who quote sw sent swarms of officers to harass our people who kept
amongst us in times of peace standing armies without the consent of our
legislatures and quartered large bodies of armed troops amongst us a king who
cut off our trade with all parts of the world and imposed tariffs and taxes on
us without our consent a king who excited domestic insurrections against
us a king who repeatedly obstructed the laws of naturalization of foreigners to
our land a king who tried to make judges dependent on his political will alone
yes Donald the Declaration and the Constitution were written by people who wanted to stop criminal bosses like you
from taking state power
we the people in order for a more perfect union establish justice ensure domestic tranquility provide for the
common defense promote the general welfare and preserve to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of liberty
do hereby ordain and establish the Constitution of these United States of America that's our preamble that's our
mission statement and the very next sentence the very next
sentence in article one provides all legislative powers shall be vested in a
Congress of the United States of America the people's branch the lawmaking body
for whom the president works as an executive sometimes people say we're three co-equal branches really first of
all co-equal is not even a word okay that's like extremely unique if we're
co-equal why is it Congress has the power to impeach a president for treason
bribery and other crime high crimes and misdemeanors and he doesn't have the right to impeach us
congress has the power to pass budgets and taxes we've got the power to create
departments and spend money we have the power to regulate commerce with foreign
nations and therefore to enact tariffs which is why his tariffs have been struck down by United States District
Court we've got the power to declare war not the president if anybody's going to
declare war on Venezuela it's going to be the Congress of the United States not
Stephen Miller or Tulsi Gabbard or Pete Hegs or anyone else in their signal chat
room no you don't get to be a monarch or a
dictator in America and you don't get to be on the payroll of monarchs and
dictators from other countries sorry Donald you don't get to keep the
millions of dollars you've pocketed from Saudi Arabia from China from the United
Arab Emirates or Qatar you've got to return all the money your golf courses and country clubs have gotten from the
Secret Service the Department of Defense and Commerce and so on our government is
not your personal ATM machine
his son Donald Trump Jr says "My dad doesn't even accept his salary." I'm sorry
that's all he's allowed to accept the framers were clear you get paid by
the people of the United States to whom you owe a duty not Putin and the kleptocrats of Russia not bin Salman and
the theocrats of Saudi Arabia not Orban or the autocrats of Egypt and Turkey the
framers wanted an undivided duty to the American people you can't sell out our
Constitution to build your luxury hotels in Gaza or a golf course in Greenland
my friends the people are winning all over America the bullies are on the run we ran Elon
Musk out of town
and Musk now says that Trump should be impeached and Trump says that Musk
should be investigated for his tens of billions of dollars in federal contracts and for once they're both right
my friends fascism will not be the end of American democracy
american democracy will be the end of fascism
we will stand up for democracy and human rights and freedom all over the world we will stand with President Zalinski and
the people of Ukraine against Putin's filthy bloodthirsty invasion we will
stand with the people of Greenland the people of Europe and Africa the people of Canada and Mexico for our common
right to trade with each other to respect each other to travel and migrate
and seek asylum without fear and without terror we are the ones fighting against
terror and tyranny today and I look at you at Phil I look at you today
Philadelphia and I know we are winning we are winning
i will leave you with the words of the great Tom Payne who my son Tommy was
named after and Tom Payne got to this beautiful city in 1774
two years before the American Revolution he fell in love with your city and he
fell in love with this land he said "If America lives up to its values and its
ideals it will become he said an asylum to humanity
not an insane asylum mind you okay a place of refuge for people seeking
freedom from religious and political and intellectual and economic repression
from around the world." And then he wrote the greatest pamphlet in our history common sense which ignited the
American Revolution against the kings and the queens and the lords and the dictators but 1776 was a tough year and
the country was split down the middle and half of the people were saying "You can't beat the greatest military empire
that ever existed you can't overthrow a tyrannical king it won't work," they
said but half the people said "Let's give it a try let's pledge to ourselves
our lives our fortunes our sacred honor to build a government that rests on the
consent of the governed and the rights and the freedoms of the people." But in 1776 Payne wrote another pamphlet called
the American crisis to give people hope to see it through all the way and I'm
going to quote a little passage for you i'm going to update the language pursuant to instructions from Nancy
Pelosi because she said Tom Payne was a feminist and he wouldn't mind and that
he was he was fighting for women's voting rights in the 18th century but Payne said this he said these are the
times that try men and women's souls the summer soldier and the sunshine patriot
will shrink at this moment from the service of their cause and their country but everyone that stands with us now
will win the love and the favor and the affection of every man and every woman for all time tyranny like hell is not
easily conquered but we have this saving consolation the more difficult the struggle the more glorious in the end
will be our victory that victory will be ours philadelphia thank you Indivisible
thank you Philadelphia thank you America
please welcome to the stage Martin Luther King III and Andrea King Waters
good afternoon [Applause] good afternoon
[Applause]
two years ago on the 60th anniversary of the March on Washington
thousands gathered on the mall not in commemoration
but in rededication it was a magnificent site all ages young
and old in every color imaginable families
sororities fraternities activists and everyday people
not one instance of violence in this sweltering heat people unrolling prayer
blankets towards Mecca others walking to tents to observe Shabbat it was a
beautiful day
and 700 miles away in Jacksonville Florida a gunman with a swastika carved
into his weapon opened fire in a predominantly black community and shot
dead three people same day same country
a tale of two Americas much like the tale of two wolves you all
have heard the story right we talk about it a lot in our home and it goes that a
a Cherokee grandmother told her granddaughter about a battle that goes
on inside every person my child she says the battle is between
two wolves one is full of anger division
chaos greed arrogance self-pity resentment lies false pride superiority
and ego the other is full of joy peace love hope
serenity community kindness benevolence empathy generosity truth compassion and
faith the granddaughter thought for a moment and asked "Well which wolf wins?"
The grandmother pulled her close and said "The one you feed
i stand before you today not in anger but in love not the sentimental kind but
a bold unwavering truthtelling love a mother's love a
people's love a love that says "I will
fight for you even when I don't know your name."
[Applause] Because your liberation is bound up in
mine we gather at a crossroads one that ask us once again "Is this
America is this America?" when tanks roll through our neighborhoods but healthc
care doesn't is this America when flashbombs fall on
peaceful protesters but not on injustice
is this America when the First Amendment is honored in print but punished in
practice let me be clear this is not patriotism
this is performance this is not leadership this is illusion
and this my brothers and sisters is not democracy this is a creeping shadow of
authoritism cloaked in power and pride but we will not be deceived by noise and
spectacle because the true strength of this nation
is not in its missiles but in its morality
not in its parades but in its people
not in fear but in freedom
it's been a long few months and I hear so many of us talking about anxiety and
depression and despair but when I despair I remember the words of Gandhi
there may be tyrants and murderers but in the end they always fall
because truth force what he called soul force sate graa is more powerful than
any other weapon that's the force of love that's the
force of justice that's the force of everyday people saying enough
so I ask you again where do we go from here chaos or community
that's right we choose community we choose the deep national healing that
we so badly need we choose to realize the dream because
it's not radical to care about all children not just the ones who look pray
or love like your own
it's not radical to believe in the words carved on the base of the Statue of
Liberty give me your tired your poor your huddled masses yearning to breathe
free
it's not radical to serve to protect to protest to love no it's not radical it's
American [Applause]
and that's why we're going into communities across this country not with closed fists or with tanks but with open
hearts and open arms
we are showing up with truth in our hands and love in our voices because we
love this country and we know that loving America means holding it
accountable to its highest promises [Music]
my father-in-law Martin Luther King Jr spoke of levels of love the highest
being agape and the highest level is not passive it's a force that challenges
systems not just sentiments that's the love that we need now that's the love
that will unify us [Music]
so let us raise our voices not in hate but in hope let us march not to divide
but to build let us love not to escape the struggle but to endure it together
[Music] because we are one
one people one nation under God
indivisible with and justice for all thank you
good afternoon
let me first say that we send all of our prayers
and support to those families that lost their loved
ones who were elected officials in Minnesota
we also today must start
because I come from the nonviolent tradition
as many of us do and I can't imagine what my father nor
mother are thinking as we go through
this period of history beyond the fact that we must stay
engaged and stay on the battlefield and until truth justice freedom and
equality is exist for all humankind
i am deeply honored to stand with you today in the city of brotherly love
a city steeped in the dream of liberty a city that birthed a nation
and a city that has long carried the flame of resistance in the face of
oppression
philadelphia you are no stranger to struggle
you were a san you were a sanctuary for runaway slaves
a refuge for the righteous abolitionists
a crossroads for the Underground Railroad and today you are once again a
sacred ground where justice calls and freedom answers
so it is only fitting that we gather here today not in fear but in faith not
in despair but in defiance we gather here in the shadow of
Independence Hall to declare that we the people still believe in democracy
we still believe in justice and we still believe in a nation without
kings
without tyrants without rulers who place themselves
above the law we are here to say this land belongs to
the people not to the monarchs not to the autocrats
not to strong men but to the people
just as the generation of 17 and 76 cast off the crown and proclaimed a republic
we the generation of 2025 pledged to keep faith with that sacred
inheritance and let it be known to every corner of this land we will not let
democracy die on our watch
yes we're deeply troubled my friends by efforts to use fear as a weapon to use
immigration as a scapegoat to silence the voice of the people through marshall
force but we are not afraid we're not intimidated and we will not be moved we
will stand we will march we will sing
and we will speak peacefully powerfully and persistently until justice rolls
down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream
[Music] let us be clear
let us be perfectly clear that to deport anyone
without due process is not only illegal it is immoral
it is a betrayal of our constitution and of our highest values we are one nation
under God indivisible not with division and detention but with liberty and
justice for all
we reject the militarization of our streets
we say to those in power if you want to honor our armed forces do not parade
them through the streets like pawns on a chessboard
honor them by caring for their bodies their minds and their futures honor them
by protecting democracy not parading over it
let us use those hundreds of millions of dollars not to inflate egos but to
uplift the people use it to fund our schools to heal our sick to protect our
elderly to care for our veterans
that is real patriotism that is real love of our country
and I say to every protester every marcher every dreamer in this moment
commit yourselves to nonviolence not merely as a strategy but as a way of
life my father taught us that nonviolence is the sword that heals it
is the weapon of the strong it turns enemies into friends
and injustice into redemption
[Music] every gain of the modern civil rights movement that was made was won through
discipline determined nonviolence nonviolent love I should say remember
the forces of repression are watching for us to slip up they're waiting to
point a broken at a broken window and ignore a broken system they're waiting
for an excuse to crush what they cannot control we must not give it to them even
one acts of vi even one act of violence can undo the moral power of a thousand
voices so let our protest be loud but let it also be loving
let it be fierce but let it be faithful let it be firm but never fueled by
hatred so train your hearts in the discipline of peace prepare your minds for the long
road ahead and walk together children don't you get weary but there's a great
camp meeting in the promised land of justice so as I close this afternoon
I want to say to you have faith in democracy have faith in the power of the people
have faith in truth over lies light over darkness love over hate
we walk not alone for God walks with us and if God be for us who can be against
us so let us rise up with faith let us
march on with courage and let us keep climbing toward that break day when
liberty is no longer a promise but a lived reality for all
and so we will never give up we will never give out we will never
give in we must keep marching until freedom
justice and equality exist for all humankind thank you and God bless each
of you always
please give a warm Philadelphia welcome to the president of the Philadelphia
Federation of Teachers Art Steinberg philly
welcome to all of you who are here with us in the cradle of liberty from southeast Pennsylvania New Jersey
Delaware Washington DC and beyond i'm sure you know the response to this
show me what democracy looks like this is what democracy looks like show me
what democracy looks like this is what democracy looks like my name is Arthur
Steinberg and I'm a special education teacher right here in Philadelphia
i am proud to serve as the president of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers the Mighty PFT
and and AFT Pennsylvania we represent more than 36,000 workers across the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania yesterday was the last day of the school
year and we give it up for our graduating students rising students their families and our members
teachers paraprofessionals coaches nurses counselors food service managers
and secretaries let's also thank the public school educators who pour their hearts in labor from Head Start to 12th
grade students throughout the school year and beyond and let's not forget our members in higher education
in a moment I'll introduce my friend and sister in labor Randy Wearten president of the AFT but first let me represent
Philly for a minute philly is a vibrant growing and welcoming city we are a championship
city can't do without this go Birds
and we are the birthplace of American democracy philly is a city that doesn't tolerate
Billies bullies we don't do tyrants and we sure as hell don't do kings
[Applause] so it's fitting that tens of thousands from across the region chose to be in
Philadelphia today i want to thank Vicky Miller and the entire team from Is Indivisible Philly for putting this
together in moments like this we can choose to
stay in our homes out of fear or we can come outside be with community and draw strength and hope from one another thank
you to the organizers for making that choice easy for millions of Americans here and across the country today
it is a deep personal honor to have the Reverend Dr barber here and a really
special honor to have the King family join us
the PFT feels a special connection and debt of gratitude to Dr king his
endorsement in 1965 was instrumental in the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers
obtaining recognition as the exclusive bargaining agent Philadelphia educators
today in our nation's capital a gross misuse of public resources is occurring
all in service to Donald's ego and insecurity i have a suggestion for fixing your unpopularity Donald stop
running the most corrupt incompetent and violent administration of our lifetimes
and keep your armed federal agents from our agents away from our schools and
students trump and his fellow oligarchs seek to
rule us like kings they believe their wealth gives them the right to pick and choose who among us gets to eat goes to
school receives life-saving vaccine scenes and medical care and who is able to leave freely cuts the medic and snap
with literally a steel feed medicine from the mouths of babes
you can see my union's members wearing our signature PFT red here today
[Music] check out our signs trump is not the first wannabe king we've had to resist
power- hungry billionaires like Jeff Yas have been trying to buy our democracy
yas is a billionaire and the richest man in Pennsylvania he's been getting rich
off K to2 education for years he's also a tax dodger when we leave here today
Google Jeffrey Yash and then ProPublica who uses his obscene wealth to attack
public education so that only kids of the wealthy will have access to college and careers of their choice
if we want to take back our democracy we need to take back power not just from Trump but from all the many Trumps
correcting government for their own enrichment
i'm going to end on a high note and one of optimism you can organize your way to better government at the local level and
those wins build towards bigger wins in towns not far from here we've seen
neighbors who value public schools take on religious ideologues on school boards who are banning books and win
taking back power is up to each and every one of us in the words of our two-time Super Bowl champion
Philadelphia Eagles we all we got we all we need [Applause]
let's become the agents of hope and aspiration when a fairer fairer America
give our communities the resources they need to thrive
it is now my great pleasure and honor to call up Randy Weine president of the 18
1.8 million members strong AFT thank you
[Music]
i'm gonna ask Art so it's Flag Day today
this is what democracy looks like all of you here I'm going to ask Art to hold my
flag now on April 5th I was here i feel like I
live here but I was here on April 5th we were in
another park and I wanted to start by actually talking about what we in the
labor movement you you it's unbelievable the scene that I see right now it's just
unbelievable because it's the people but
this exactly this is what we say in the labor movement it is the people united
will never be defeated it's not just that we'll never be divided we'll never be defeated so will
Can we do a big Philly shout out the
people united will never be defeated the
people united will never be defeated the people united will never be defeated
so I want you all to know in Philly that
our brothers and sisters and siblings in Minnesota are watching us and I want to
say to them we love you and we will never ever ever
tolerate political violence it's wrong [Music] [Applause]
as Martin Luther King's son said we need to practice not just as a strategy but
as a way of life peaceful nonviolence
now Philly you know this you don't need a social studies teacher to tell you this you are the birthplace of our
nation you are the birthplace of our democracy
you are the birthplace of our constitution and you're the birthplace of Rocky
and while and this was a few years before I was born while the colonists and colonies in
1774 and five and six were really different one of the things that binded them
together was the conviction that they wanted to govern themselves nobles
no monarchs and no kings
now Congressman Raskin said a little bit of this already he he quoted the
Declaration of Independence already but there's one statement of it I want to
recquote which is "A tyrant is unfit to
be the ruler of a free people." [Applause]
We need the current president to actually read that language
well I think he knows how to read we just want him to read it
now our founders and excuse the social studies lesson but our founders said no
to kings 250 years ago precisely because they believed in the consent of the
government and while and they were far from perfect they did believe in the
values we now try to make real today freedom liberty justice and opportunity
for all so what does that mean it means not
detaining high school students in Detroit or Connecticut before they're
about to graduate it means not detaining children who are
in playgrounds it means not disappearing day laborers
who are trying to make ends meet it means not handcuffing seamstresses
who are trying to be at work or arresting a union leader trying to stop this cruelty
it means not assaulting a US senator trying to peacefully fight for the
people he represents or arresting a mayor or a congresswoman
because they're just doing their jobs
america Americans don't need this abuse of power
we need power to be vested in the people
and that's what I see today and that's what this split screen is today
thousands of people standing up peacefully for our values for American
values including the values of making sure everyone can speak and peacefully
assemble and why and that's why many of us are
holding an American flag because we care about our country we care about
opportunity we care about the people of America and we care about each and every
one of our pathways to the American dream
i see thousands of people paying tribute to an army an army formed on June 14th
1775 to fight a monarchy
and we're doing this not out of anger but out of resolve the collective
resolve of millions of people at over 2,000 events to say we believe in our
democracy and we are willing to fight for it peacefully
the collective resolve to reject a wannabe king to reject $40 million worth
of birthday parties that should be going to pay for kids who need nutrition
we reject the diminishment of our rights to assemble and associate and speak
philly this is what democracy looks like organized hopeful and bold literally the
rule of the majority and let me talk for one minute or two about my union the AFT yes we stand at
the intersection of democracy and opportunity public education and the labor movement these are the ways that
Americans can get to a better life a shot at a better life and paving those
opportunities makes us a target their attacks on public education are relentless and why
because they fear knowledge why do they fear school teachers they feel fear us
because we think we teach critical thinking we teach honest history we
teach pluralism because their brand of greed and power
and privilege cannot survive in a democracy of diverse educated citizens
so that's why they go after education opportunity they fight us on economic
opportunity they're going after equal opportunity they're going after unions because this current president sees us
as a threat to his vision of America he sees us as a threat because they believe
in us versus them and we believe in us the people
so look this is about hope versus fear but to get to hope we must address the
fear and show people that a better life is possible without a voice in our
democracy and a voice at work frankly our fight against kings would be hollow
so we're not just fighting back we're fighting for a better day so as they fight for tax cuts for billionaires we
fight for tax cuts for the working class as they cut SNAP and Medicaid we fight
to make sure that families have decent housing and decent health care and decent education
they got their seas chaos confusion corruption and cronyism and we got ours
the courts the court of public opinion the Congress and the courage of this
community because this community understands how
to fight back no one is going to save us but ourselves but it takes courage so my
friends rather than yield on bended knee we stand up we all care we all act we do
it together in solidarity so I want to end with a quote from the
father of our last speakers specifically Martin Luther King's final
book he wrote "Where do we go from here chaos or community?" Well Philly you are
the community to this president's chaos and together we build a future of
opportunity and justice for all hope over fear aspiration over anger the
promise of America for each and every American that is what we are fighting
for today so I say the people united
will never be divided the people united will never be divided the people united
will never be defeated
and now and now I get to introduce who
in my judgment is the foremost authority on democracy
and how to keep it and on authoritarianism and how to fight it and that is the
honorable you've read some of his books the Honorable Professor Tim Snyder
hold
that flag got it all right
so first of all I want to Hey Philadelphia
[Music] i I have never seen a more beautiful site than this today thank you for being
here can we hear it again for the leader of
the president of my union Randy Wine Garden
and for her amazing amazing words yeah
so I need some help i need some help i I have one thing to say to you and it is
no kings freedom
no kings freedom but but but as Randy if Randy says and
she's right that I so know something about authoritarianism the thing that I know is that it can only be fought
together so I'm going to say no kings and I want to hear if there's anybody out there who can say freedom no kings
no kings freedom no kings freedom that's
right we don't want kings we don't want fascists we don't want oligarchs for
very simple reasons those people cannot represent us they are surrounded by the
hierlings by the minions by the bootlicking billionaires
and what they will do and what they are doing is taking away the future taking
away our health destroying the environment around us taking away our
rights that is what they are bringing to us no kings
no kings no kings as freedom means hands off freedom means
no deportations in the streets

Part 2 of 2

freedom means Freedom means no violence against
peaceful American citizens and everybody in this country
but freedom also means a nature with which we're in harmony freedom also
means a government that works freedom also means equality
healthcare freedom also means the American dream
no kings no kings no kings
when I was a little kid my parents brought me to this city to see the Liberty Bell and that was very
meaningful for me because we had a bell on the farm and I thought about that bell as the Liberty Bell and I rang it
as a little kid we came we saw the Liberty Bell and that was wonderful but as I grew up I learned some things i
learned that the Liberty Bell wasn't called the Liberty Bell in 1776 you know this right you're from
Philadelphia it was called the State House Bell it was the abolitionists who called it the Liberty Bell
it was the people who met the challenge of slavery who called it the Liberty Bell
and then it was the woman's suffrage movement who called it the Liberty Bell [Applause]
and it's because of them that we now all call it the Liberty Bell
and what do we learn from that we learn that in history first no kings and then
freedom and we learn that you only make progress for freedom with struggle and
you learn that you only make progress for freedom with allies who you learn
from who you learn from so no kings is
today freedom is tomorrow no kings today freedom tomorrow we act
together today and we keep acting tomorrow
we make a new friend here today and we do something with them tomorrow we meet
somebody we admire today and we do something with them tomorrow we meet somebody who's a little more courageous
than us today and we do something them tomorrow today no kings tomorrow freedom
there is a better America out there there is a better America underneath
there is a better America that we can see there is a better America that we can make history is in our hands
[Applause]
no kings no kings no kings
thank you [Applause] please welcome to the stage the
co-president of community change Lorela Prely
[Music]
i think I'm going to die
hello Philadelphia [Applause]
my name is Lorela Peli and I'm here today as the co-president of Community
Change where we organize every day for a multi-racial democracy and an economy
rooted in dignity and justice
i'm proud to stand with you because this is our America and in our America we
don't do kings that might sound like a slogan but it's
more than that it's a moral line in the sand a declaration of what we refuse to
become because what we're living through right now what we saw in Los Angeles this week
is not normal this is authoritarianism in motion
on Mark Vance masked agents people disappeared without notice no names no
charges mothers torn from their children no lawyer no phone call and suddenly
they are gone
that is not our America and let me tell you something else
my presence here today it wasn't guaranteed when I was two and a half
years old I was in a car accident that resulted in the amputation of my right leg at that time my family lived in Peru
and my mother made a courageous decision she dreamed that her daughter would live
a full life and she believed the place I could where I could do that was right
here in the United States of America
so we came She started over she cleaned houses she
cared for people's children she worked tirelessly so that her own children
could have something more my mother believed in an America that had room for
her daughter's dream and that welcoming America her America is why I stand
before you today as a citizen as a mother as a fighter as your partner in
this struggle to build a country where everyone can live with dignity and
thrive [Applause]
but the America we're seeing unfold right now it's a nightmare and we have
to name it for what it is not an aberration but a strategy this is the
blueprint of authoritarianism the violation of rights the erosion of norms
the manufacturing of fear the targeting of the most vulnerable so let's be clear
in our America we say no to kings with secret police we say no to separating
mothers from their children we say no to rounding up workers while billionaires
get another tax break we say no to turning neighbor against neighbor so say
it with me loud enough for every wouldbe king to hear no hate no fear immigrants
are welcome here no hate no fear immigrants are welcome here no hate no
fear immigrants are welcome here
no hate no fear immigrants are welcome here
thank you so I also want to talk about another truth in this moment which is
that there are a lot of people hurting rens have skyrocketed
child care costs more than your mortgage health insurance doesn't cover your
health you go to the grocery store and you ask yourself "How am I supposed to
feed my family this week?" That pain is real and Trump is
exploiting it to consolidate power when people are hurting it's easy to look for
someone to blame and that's what he's counting on because he doesn't want you to look at
him or the billionaires he's shielding he wants you to blame your neighbor to
fear the immigrant to believe that someone else's survival is a threat to your own but here is the truth
trump is cheating working people he is using immigrants as scapegoats to
distract us while he steals from all of us [Applause]
we have seen wannabe kings before they rise by stoking fear by criminalizing
the vulnerable by looting from the many to enrich the few we believe in
something different we believe every person has worth that families belong
together that workers deserve dignity no matter where they were born that
democracy isn't guaranteed it is something we
build together and above all we believe our solidarity is stronger than their
fear so what do we do
we rise we organize we show up we link arms across race across faith across
difference we hold the line and then we move the line
[Applause] because we are not just resisting we are
reshaping and rebuilding this country from the ground up
[Applause] latina
[Applause] C
for
peronimosa
lucha despans the campos
maradas madresang
[Applause] [Music] ESTO
[Music] America
so we're going to wrap this up or I'm going to wrap my part up and we're going
to say no hate no fear wouldbe kings aren't welcomed here are you ready all
right let's do this thing make it loud no hate no fear wouldbe kings aren't
welcomed here no hate no fear wouldbe kings aren welcomed here no hate no fear
would be kings aren welcome here no hate no fear would be kings aren welcome here
no hate no fear would be kings are welcome here no hate no fear woody kings
aren welcome here thank you thank you philadelphia
please give a warm Philadelphia welcome to Army Veteran with Common Defense
Navided Sha
what's up Philadelphia good afternoon everybody my name is
Naveiv Sha and I'm the political director of common defense and an army veteran i'm honored to address you today
on behalf of veterans everywhere [Music]
you know as a veteran I swore an oath to the Constitution not to a person not to a political party and especially not to
a king donald Trump thinks his rule is absolute
but in America we have no kings
i'm a veteran of the war in Iraq where I served 15 years ago when I was there in
March of 2010 was when Iraq held their second ever national elections for many
young Iraqis it was their first time ever casting a ballot for me for once
the insurgents weren't not targeting the American soldiers like me who were providing security they were targeting
their own people who were simply trying to exercise their fundamental right to vote
all in that moment the sanctity of our rights became clear to me and I promised never to take them for granted
so when I saw what happened in Washington at the capital on January 6th 2021 I was more than just shocked and
appalled i was scared i was scared for what could happen to our country if we allowed the big lie to continue to
fester for what would happen if insurrectionists took power and unfortunately we're seeing that play out
right now recent events in Los Angeles have made it evident it's necessary now more than
ever for us to stand up against authoritarianism
as of now the Trump regime has federalized 4,000 National Guard soldiers 700 Marines but we've seen this
playbook before when troops are deployed to depre to suppress disscent history shows us that such actions only make the
situation worse not better the militarized response to protests is a dangerous escalation that undermines
the state and local governments endangers civil rights and betrays the very principles that we swore to uphold
it's important to note that everybody from Governor Nuome to Mayor Bass even the LAPD have said that there's no need
for military intervention in LA but the president and his regime are
manufacturing a crisis we've heard that in places like Texas and Virginia governors have activated
their National Guard so there's a potential for more troops to be deployed this summer and that's why now more than
ever in the face of such oppression we must commit to deliberate strategic nonviolence
seeing all of you out here today in in the Philadelphia my favorite my second favorite city after DC um it's a it's a
powerful moment to protect democracy in our communities while Trump and his cronies are watching the show in DC
Americans are stuck choosing between health care and child care and feeding their families
and yet again veterans benefits benefits that my brothers and sisters earned are on the chopping block
the Trump administration wants to cut 15% from the Department of Veterans Affairs which millions of veterans and
their military families rely on for their healthcare
but that's right out of the MAGA playbook isn't it pretend you're honoring the troops with a parade while
gutting the services that they need what's the point of a military parade if
you're going to disrespect the troops and their families
250 years ago the army that I love was founded by the Continental Congress to stand up against King George
almost nothing makes me prouder than to say "Go Army." But today Trump's birthday parade isn't about patriotism
it's about his power and here's the truth in a recent poll that we did 70% of veterans including
Republicans and independents are opposed to Trump's birthday parade
because we know you don't honor the troops by making them props and that's why Common Defense and our
veterans are gathered here today and across the country to reaffirm our commitment to the Constitution of the
United States not a politician not not a political party and no kings
[Applause] despite our nation's history of oppression and racism but the ideals
that we took an oath to rise above all of that when I took my oath to join the army I
did so because because I believe that America stood for something better and I still do
and that's why it's so important for me to protect this country and its constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic
if we are to be the shining city on the hill then we must set the example before we send our troops to promote democracy
abroad we must protect democracy here at home
liberty and justice must truly be accessible for all
the men and women of our military uphold the oath every single day and as veterans I'm here we're here to commit
to continue upholding our oath and we call on all members of Congress left right and center to do the right thing
because the future of democracy depends on them
and it depends on all of you out here going beyond just today continue to show up because this is not just the be the
end this is just the beginning because in America we have no kings
thanks everybody
please welcome to the stage from the ACLU Anu Jooshi and Mike Lee
[Music]
how's everyone feeling
my name is Anu Jooshi and I am with the American Civil Liberties Union
and I'm here to say to you that no matter what the ACLU is in this fight
alongside you to save our democracy
over the last four month four and a half months we've watched in horror as masked
men snatched Makmoud Khalil and other students from their families for
exercising their First Amendment protected speech in support of Palestinian human rights
we've watched as they have spent billions of dollars to detain people
thousands of miles from their families in private forprofit detention
facilities we've watched as they've trampled all
over people's due process rights and zip tied children and ripped families apart
and just this week we watched as the president federalized National Guard
troops against the wishes of the state's governor and sent active duty military
to an American city in my hometown Los Angeles California
and two days ago we watched as this administration handcuffed a sitting
United States senator for having the audacity to ask a question and this is
only a part of a larger intimidation campaign as they arrest charge and detain not
only elected officials but journalists universities judges union leaders
students nonprofits law firms immigrants and everyday Americans
but you know what this isn't the president's country it's ours
and like all of you in those moments we didn't just sit on the sidelines
watching as he tried to use the immense power of the federal government to try
and silence us through fear we got to work we have filed more than 100
lawsuits since the inauguration to challenge their extreme cruel and
illegal actions and we are winning and we are not slowing down
we worked with governors and attorneys general and mayors all across the
country to pass policies that serve as a firewall against the president's
overreach we packed town halls we took to the streets to physically protect our
immigrant family members we uplifted the stories of trans joy in our nation's
capital and we trained hundreds of thousands of
people to know their rights and to use them
the actions of this White House are unamerican an abuse of power and just
damn wrong but just looking at the thousands of
people here and the millions of people joining events like this all across the
country it is very clear to me that we cannot be silenced and we are not afraid
never let anyone tell you that protesting is not patriotic
in fact it is the most patriotic action you can take in these trying times it is
our constitutional right to do so
when we know our rights when we exercise them when we protest when we dissent
when we speak freely when we act to protect our families our friends and neighbors when we show up we make
progress for everyone [Applause]
thank you all so much for being here and for supporting the ACLU and we know we
couldn't do any of this work without the leadership of our incredible ACLU
affiliates and so I'm so excited to be standing here with a champion of Pennians a lifelong Philadelphiaian and
the executive director of the ACLU of Pennsylvania Mike Lee
what up Philly i said "What up Philly?"
When I say free you say speech free speech free speech free speech free
speech that's what's up that's what's up that's Philly right there
hi my name is Mike Lee i'm the executive director of ACLU of Pennsylvania proud
Philadelphiaian born and raised happy Pride Month
[Applause] happy Early Father's Day
happy Democracy cities and countries cities across this
country standing up pushing back against
President Trump and his enablers while they try to pull out all the stops
unconstitutionally trying to scare us put us on our heels
knock the Democratic breath out of us they even trying to do it here in Philly
threatening funding cuts if we don't change our local policies deportation
without due process boo
troops in our streets but guess what you messing with the wrong city
you seen our local government you seen our elected officials we here to stand
up and push back philly as you've heard throughout today
we're known for our fighting spirit and our brotherly love and twotime Super
Bowl champion Eagles but let me tell y'all real quick while
these are called the Rocky Steps it's not because of how many people Rocky knocked down it's because of how many
times he stood up against the odds he stood up stand up fight back
right so when they try to give us a parade no
we want Medicaid we're going to stand up don't give us a statue they're for
tourists we love the grind that's why we talk about these steps that's why we
bring our champions to these steps because we respect and love the grind
the underdog it doesn't matter what the odds are we're here to fight peacefully
and do so in a constitutional way cuz that's what it's all about
last thing Philly last thing only love can drive out the hate that
we're seeing i see love here and just remember when
you're in Philly sometimes love hurts [Music]
please give a warm Philadelphia welcome to State Representative from Georgia Rua
Roman
[Music] hey y'all this is a gorgeous crowd
how's everybody doing good thank you for being out here to
make clear that we bow down to no king
as we gather here today and all around the country we face a pivotal moment in our history i know it seems dark and
scary we're watching families torn apart all around the country we saw photos of
Marines detaining a vet on his way to the VA we've seen ICE detained citizens
and now we're seeing a world triggering escalation in the Middle East
and this morning Minnesota state legislators were hunted down and gunned down and all of this comes after we
watched a genocide unfold in Gaza for almost two years while our elected officials
cheered it on or gave memouthed reasons of why they couldn't oppose the atrocities that we paid for
we did not arrive here in a vacuum and it's important to understand how we got here so we can change the trajectory of
where we go our leaders have failed us republicans want children to starve and
the poor to die and too many of my colleagues still think that people will magically support us if we just
compromise a little more found that magic road
but compromise on basic rights of people and lack of principles will never win
and it all it did was help pave the path towards fascism in our country
and I will say this remember this is the reemergence of fascism because we have
seen so much of this before nothing happening today is new the illegal
detentions the crackdown on protesters and free speech the disappearings of people and deportations in a weird way
it kind of gives me some solace but it also fills me with fury and deep anger
because it's a reminder that everything we see around us is a choice and it's a choice that we can make differently
and and my theory comes from the reality that those who can make the world better
are actively choosing not to
but I'm here today to remind myself and all of you that we are not alone just
look at you
when my community had pushed me to run for office and for those who don't know I kind of got bullied into this i knew I
wouldn't be doing it alone and it was because of them that I had the courage to do this but now that I'm in it I see
all the time and all the ways that we can make a massive difference and look I
get it i was talking with some friends last night about the state of the world and I told them about how as someone who's on the inside the thing that keeps
me up at night is to see all of those opportunities that if more people had just shown up we could have made a huge
difference and here's the thing they rightfully said look there's so much cynicism
people are tired of the corruption and I get it i totally get it but hear me when
I say you say to you today those who actually engage in that corruption want
nothing more than for us to leave them alone they want us to turn away they want our
cynicism to convince us into an action
but I'm not going anywhere and neither should any of you
[Applause] i'm here today to implore all of you not
to allow our cynicism to lull us into inaction do not allow this moment of
feeling overwhelmed to paralyze you and again I know so many people are scared
today i know some of you are seeing the deployment of military personnel the escalation of ICE and the targeting of
protesters and wondering what power you have but I'm telling you right now in this moment this will be the easiest
time to be brave right now is the moment to insist on our rights right now is the
moment to push back on anyone anyone who attempts to normalize this in any way
[Applause] now is the time to loudly remind those around us as close as they are and as
far as they are that none of this is normal
and why do you ask because our opposition works
the administration after ripping families apart is already shifting who
they are targeting and it's because of all of you showing up in the streets
and I remind you that even those that have been detained for standing up for Palestinian rights like Resa and Min
have already been released [Applause]
but we cannot let up until we are all safe until we are all free we cannot let up until Mahmud Khaled is reunited with
his child we cannot let up [Applause]
we cannot let up until we not only stop the cuts to Medicaid but make sure we
finally have universal health care we cannot let up
we cannot let up until we not only stop the genocides in the Congo and Gaza and Sudan and all around the world but also
end the endless wars
and we cannot let up until we stop this neverending march to an increasingly
extractionary economy that squeezes all of us for everything that we barely have
to benefit some unnamed shareholder who'll never know our stories will never know our names
so today I am asking you to think about three things and your role in them three
places first your community get to know your neighbors because if you don't already it is one of the most beautiful
experiences in my life it is so lovely to know them and make sure that you build a support system with those
literally and physically closest to you and support your local food banks support literally anyone who might need
it in your neighborhood and talk to each other
these algorithms continue to silo us and isolate us from each other and that is
extremely dangerous now is the time that we need each other more than ever before
second and I got to say it y'all your local politics my city council member won by four votes in a runoff getting
involved politically from school boards to state legislators to county parties is world changing it's where you have
the most power and I'm not just talking elections here i'm talking about committee hearings i'm talking about
schoolboard hearings i'm talking about every possible hearing you go to go and make your voice heard
because I promise you this every national policy you have hated has started locally somewhere
and third take care of yourselves this is a long long road i need us to learn
to do this work at a pace that works for multiple years figure out what that pace looks like for you figure out what you
have to offer if you cook if you bake if you're artistic there is so much of you that you can offer to those around you
now is the time to lean into that
and I'm going to end with this to my colleagues all around the country who are reeling from the news in Minnesota I
say again now is the easiest time to be brave too many people want to silence
people like us but now is the time to stand up to them and say "You will not
make us cower in fear
our communities need us more now than ever before because I promise you that
is where our power is today we marched tomorrow we changed the world." And to the cynics that shrug and say this is
the way the world has always been i remind them to look at history and compare it to where we are today but
also if a Palestinian can get elected in a state like Georgia I have a hard time believing anything is impossible thank
you Philly you're a gorgeous crowd [Music]
please welcome to the stage from the Human Rights Campaign Wendy Stout
[Music]
[Music]
hello beautiful people
before I start I just wanted to say a special happy birthday to Rua today is
her birthday so please wish her a happy birthday
so I am Wendy Stout i use she her pronouns and I am with the Human Rights Campaign we
we are the largest LGBTQ plus civil rights organization in the country
[Applause] now I'm guessing that you all know the
colors of the pride flag the rainbow colors i am here to tell you that those colors
do not run [Applause]
and the LGBTQ plus community that that flag represents we don't run either
[Applause] and we do not bow to wannabe kings
[Music] and we will not be forced back into the
closet [Music] trump wants to erase us he may try and
erase our history from his websites or remove our names from battleships he may
try to legislate us out of existence but he will never succeed
[Applause] you all know our community has a history
of fighting back and standing up against bullies
lgbtq members and our allies continue to fight and stand up for each other
we will continue to fight for our trans siblings right to exist and live their authentic lives
we will continue to stand up for our children um so they can be safe and welcome in
their schools and we will continue to speak up for
immigrants like Andre Hernandez Romero a gay stylist who was just looking for a
better life he was he was doing everything the
government asked of him to be here however one day Trump disappeared him and many like him without cause or due
process [Music]
if Trump thinks that he can erase us then we've got news for him we will show
up for our LGBT LGBTQ plus community in court in the halls of Congress
throughout our local communities and here in the streets
[Applause] we are not going anywhere and despite how he acts this country does not have a
king [Music] so here is my call to you call your
member of Congress now I don't care if you don't think they're going to listen just call them anyway tell them to do
their job and listen to their constituents and do what their constituents need not what the
billionaires need make them heard make your voice heard call them today call them tomorrow call
them every day until they listen to you
thank you everyone and remember these colors do not run
please give a warm Philadelphia welcome co-chair of citizen of public citizen
Rob Weissman [Music]
brothers and sisters and my friends we congregate here today in the cradle
of liberty to reaffirm three founding principle
first we are all created equal no matter where we were born no matter who we love
no matter our religion or race we are all created equal
second we are all endowed with the right to life liberty and the pursuit of
happiness and that means a right to health care a right to clean air a right to a decent job a right to be treated
respectfully and third
our government and every government's legitimacy rep relies on only one thing
the consent of the governed
in America there are no kings [Music]
donald Trump you may not snatch people off the streets because you don't like
what they think because say it with me in America there are no kings
donald Trump you may not shut down agencies that protect us from financial fraudsters or deliver foreign aid for
the hungry and those who need healthcare because in America there are no kings
donald Trump you may not take money away from people or threaten to put them in jail because you do not like what they
think or say because in America there are no kings donald Trump you may not
treat the military as your personal security force and deploy it on a whim
and with a bare hint of pretext because in America there are no kings and Donald
Trump you may not accept tribute from foreign powers or bribes from corporate
oligarchs because in America there are no kings
[Music] [Applause] this smallminded man this petty
individual he thinks he should be a king he wants to be a monarch maybe a zar but
let me tell you my friends this would be emperor has no clothes
he has no clothes because in America the power only comes from all of us it only
comes from us so when Donald Trump says he wants to take health care away from millions of Americans we say no
when Donald Trump says he wants to slash taxes for the rich and corporations we
say no when Donald Trump says he wants more
money to separate families build detention centers and hire Jack Boo thugs to rip people off the streets we
say no when Donald Trump says more subsidies for big oil let's race to
climate catastrophe we say no and when Donald Trump says
I want to take food away from hungry people in America
we say no but my friends consent of the govern is
not just about a veto authority it's about getting what it is we want it's
about getting what it is we want when it comes to health care for all healthc
care is a right we say yes yes yes
when it comes to our clean environment and investing in the clean energy revolution we need to avert climate
catastrophe we say yes yes yes when it comes to a good job for everyone a
living wage and a right to organize a union we say yes yes yes when it comes
to guaranteeing a good education for every child in America with well-paid teachers who are respected for what they
do we say yes yes yes when it comes to decency and democracy and love and
solidarity and justice for all we say yes yes yes
we will together when we organize and mobilize as a 100,000 of us have done
here in Philadelphia today as millions of us have done across the country when
we organize and mobilize we will defeat this wouldbe emperor who has no clothes
and we will deliver on the promise made here almost 250 years ago of the right
to life liberty and pursuit of happiness for every single human being yes yes yes
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
thank you and now please welcome to the stage our
final speakers co-executive directors of Indivisible Leah Greenberg and Ezra
Leaven [Music]
hello Philadelphia i'm Leah hey and I'm Ezra
and we represent a movement of thousands of indivisible groups organizing all over the country to fight for our
democracy now we're all out here today because we
are watching Donald Trump dismantle American democracy in real time
masked men are grabbing students off the streets for their social media posts
they're kidnapping moms as they take their kids to school
they're disappearing innocent men into foreign torture goologs without a shred of due process
they're terrorizing our communities our friends our neighbors
in Los Angeles they responded to peaceful protests with violent repression putting US troop putting US
troops on the streets to stop Americans from exercising our right to peacefully protest
and meanwhile meanwhile while he sends the National Guard to California Donald
Trump is sending tanks to DC so that he can have the birthday party that he's
always wanted
$45 million for this birthday parade did anyone ask for this no
meanwhile they are telling us that there is no money for social security there is no money that there's no money for
Medicaid that there's that there is no money for veterans
that there's no money for special education there's no money for
cancer research no money for clean air or water no money for
you for us but somehow there's always money when a billionaire needs a tax cut
when Elon Musk needs a fat government contract
or when Donald Trump wants a lux new plane or a big birthday party
now these things are connected donald Trump Steven Miller their magronies they
know Americans hate this stuff they know we don't want our neighbors disappeared off the streets they know we don't want
Medicaid and Medicare gutted they know we don't want them stealing from us
they know keeping the gravy train running depends on ripping our rights away and turning us against each other
so they deploy these divide and conquer attacks they sabotage democracy they retaliate against anyone who stands up
or tries to and they try to shut us down
now this is not a rally for one party we've got Democrats here today we've got Republicans and independents here today
we're looking to the leaders who will fight for us because even today there are folks among the Democratic Party who
think we should roll over and play dead anyone seen John Fetman here today
we're not looking to politicians to save us because we have been disappointed for we are before are looking to each other
trump now Trump wants to look strong today with his guns and his tanks and his threats he wants you to think that
he is a king and America belongs to him
he wants you to think resistance is pointless but we're here because we know true power is not staged on the streets
of DC it lies with the people right that's right and there are millions
and today there are millions and millions of us standing up and calling us bluff because we know that courage is
contagious and that as we step forward more will step forward with us
[Music] so I need you to tell me do we have kings in America no do we bow to
billionaires in America no whose country is it our country that's right
you want to hold this flag leah Greenberg everybody [Applause]
co-executive director of Indivisible and my spouse i'm a lucky guy
uh let let me start by saying something happy flag day everybody can I see the
flags i I want to tell you a story i want to tell you a story 250 years ago today a
ragtag army came together to beat back a mad king and they had to ask themselves
one simple question how many kings how many kings
but it wasn't as easy as a chant y'all two years after that army formed two
years we were losing to the king we were suffering defeats morale was low the the
dream of freedom was slipping away and yet during that dark moment when it
looked like we weren't going to win on this very day in this very city 248
years ago there was a Continental Congress that adopted this flag
did you all know that that's why today is Flag Day y'all it was defiant it was
bold it was a signal of hope in the face of despair they believed now as they
believe then as we believe now as Leah said courage is contagious
they raised the flag not just as a symbol of a nation but as a resistance to tyranny that's what that flag stands
for and when they did that you'll never guess what happened next we beat the
bastards we won whose flag our flag whose flag our flag
the story didn't stop there y'all this flag became the flag of the abolitionists the Union soldiers carried
this flag into battle to crush a rebellion built on white supremacy and bondage
this was the flag of the D-Day soldiers black white immigrant native who crossed oceans in order to crush fascism and
liberate Europe and we don't have to whitewash our
history to be proud of our progress y'all this flag this flag has flown over
injustice and inequality but it's also been claimed time and time again by
those who are demanding better of our country that it lives up to its ideals
th this is the flag this is the flag that civil rights activists carried as they marched from Selma to Montgomery
demanding demanding that this nation lives up to its ideals
liberty and justice for all liberty and justice for all liberty and justice for
all liberty and justice for all we fly this flag together with our pride flags
our black lives matter flags our Mexican flags our flags of heritage because e-
plurbusum out of many one one nation indivisible
a few years look a few years after this flag was adopted in this very city yet again it seems like Philly is important
to this story in this very city there was a constitutional con convention and Ben
Franklin left that and was asked the question what kind of government do we get what y'all set up here and he gave a
challenge to all of us a republic if you can keep it
this right here right now in this moment this is where we keep it this is where we keep it we keep it by showing up by
marching together not in lock step but in solidarity we do it by saying "This flag this flag
if it doesn't belong to all of us it doesn't belong to any of us."
Today we are doing the most quintessentially American thing you can think of we are showing up peacefully
together proudly defiantly to say freedom means something
to say that justice demands action and that we are not done fighting for the
country we know is possible how many kings whose flag
there are millions of Americans marching today under the same banner
but Philly Philly yet again this is the flagship event pardon the pun this is
though the national cameras are on us they are here so if you will indulge me
I'd like to send a very clear message to the world thousands of us with one voice
leah would you lead us in a pledge of allegiance
all right uh folks I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of
America and to the republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible
with liberty and justice for all [Applause]
thank you Leah okay this is an incredible display of
powerful people showing up for their constitutional rights this is not the end but this can be an inflection point
for our democracy so I'm going to ask you to take some action if you've ever worked with Indivisible we're not just about speeches we're about action take
out your phone take out your phone how are we going to coordinate after this movement how are
we going to push forward how are we going to be the persistent force for democracy we're going to text no kings n
o k i n gs to the number 59798
no kings 59798 then on Monday at 8:00 p.m eastern we're
all gathering together to talk about the next steps how we carry this movement forward donald Trump's not done are we
done are we done thank you for being part of what is a
historic movement for liberty and justice for all [Applause]
we are stronger than the forces seeking to divide us there are more of us than
there are of them together we will win one last time how
many kings how many kings how many kings i'll see
y'all Monday

Trump MELTS DOWN As Birthday Parade FLOPS
by Harry Sisson
Jun 14, 2025
Trump's birthday parade in Washington DC has backfired on him.

Transcript

[Harry Sisson] All right so check this out donald Trump
just got embarrassed in the best way
possible you know his birthday military
parade that he's having in Washington DC
today yeah it's totally empty nobody
showed up to see Donald Trump's birthday
event there's a video here of the empty
crowd from a journalist who works for
NBC 4 which is a local outlet in
Washington DC and you can see just how
empty it is now there is some music in
the background so I can't I can't
unfortunately play the music for you and
the sound but the video just gives you
an idea of how empty the protest the the
the parade is for Donald Trump look at
it look at all this open grass if you've
been to DC this is the National Mall in
front of the Washington Monument and
there's nobody there there's nobody
there just look at the pan of these
empty fields in DC after Donald Trump
had hyped this up spent tens of millions
of dollars on holding it just for it to
be a complete dud and on top of this it
actually started 30 minutes early due to
incoming weather so it quite literally
rained on Donald Trump's parade now
Donald Trump was telling us that around
200,000 people would attend this parade
for Donald Trump his birthday
celebration but as you can see from this
video it is absolutely nowhere near
200,000 it's not even close there might
be a thousand maybe two in that photo
and before MAGA says "Oh this is just a
selective video you're only looking at
one part of the crowd." Even JD Vance
the vice president of the United States
posted a photo of the crowd and he said
quote "Quite a view he's on the stage
where the event is being held the main
event where him Donald Trump and other
administration officials are and even in
the photo he posted you can see all the
green in the background you can see all
the empty patches and this comes after
Donald Trump said again 200,000 people
were expected except uh in the own the
photo coming from the vice president of
the United States Donald Trump's own
best buddy his own administration
official it is empty and there's also
other people on the ground like Keith
Edwards who you may know from YouTube
he's there and look at this photo as
well completely empty there is so much
green space and the unfortunate reality
for Donald Trump is that even for the
people that did come to his birthday
celebration they didn't put up any
risers so nobody can see anything look
at all these people right here of which
there are really not many the line
doesn't go back all that far they can't
see anything because there are no risers
all of these barricades you can see on
the right side of your screen in front
of the road they're blocking their view
so Donald Trump's birthday bash his
birthday parade is already off to a
terrible start and because of this
Donald Trump is getting badly trolled on
social media.

Image

For example, the Lincoln
Project who of course Donald Trump
despises did a side-by-side comparison of
his birthday parade to the No Kings
March in San Diego.

Image

This is Donald
Trump's birthday parade. There's nobody
there.

Image

This was San Diego earlier today a
huge anti-Trump protest taking place in
the great city the beautiful city of San
Diego i mean there are tens of thousands
per perhaps hundred thousand people at
that rally in San Francisco at that
protest i mean just a remarkable show of
anti-Trump anti-MAGA sentiment in the
United States today and it doesn't stop
there.

Image

Donald Trump actually got trolled
as well and mocked by Gavin Newsome's
team the Governor Nuomo press office
released this tweet earlier today
including the photo from Donald Trump's
parade and a photo of Sean Spicer Donald
Trump's former press secretary when he
said it was the biggest inauguration
ever and they replaced the photo with
Donald Trump's birthday parade and they
titled it "This is the largest
presidential birthday party ever." And
I'm sure that this is going to drive
Donald Trump nuts.

But the really funny
thing about all of this is that it
doesn't even seem like anybody in
Trump's administration is enjoying
themselves at the protest we have video
footage of Marco Rubio, Kristi Noem, and
Donald Trump at this parade watching it,
and they do not look happy. They look
like they would rather be anywhere else.

Image

Take a look at Donald Trump's reaction.
He does not look happy; he looks furious.
He looks, as I said, like he'd rather be
anywhere else.

Image

You can see Pete Hegseth on
his right,

Image

Melania Trump on his left. They
too look incredibly upset. They too look
incredibly embarrassed, and maybe they
realize that the optics of this
multi-million tens of millions of dollar
military parade that Donald Trump hosted
are pretty terrible.

Image

He promised all
these people just for it to completely
flop, for us to waste all this money, and
waste everybody's time. And also I want
to show you other clips.

Image

For example, take
a look at Marco Rubio who looks very
unhappy as well.
Oh yeah. You know, this guy just looks so
happy to be there. He's yawning; he's
yawning while Donald Trump's birthday
bash takes place.

Image

And the final clip I
want to show you of another Trump
administration official is Kristy Noem,
who is shaking her head in DIS-approval.
[Applause]
Yeah, Kristi Noem, same boat as Trump and
Rubio. Not happy to be there.

Image

And even the
person, the guy, who I'm not sure who that
is, sitting in front of her, is on his
phone. He's on his phone.

Image

And that's
Senator Joni Ernst in the red. She
looks uncomfortable as anything.

Image

Image

So Trump's parade is completely backfiring
on him. This birthday bash that he has
been so excited about is a dud. It is, as
I said, quite literally raining on his
parade. And I do want to highlight that
while all of this is taking place, while
Donald Trump has been has been
completely humiliated by this dud of a
birthday parade, meanwhile tens of
thousands of Americans are out there
protesting, making their voices heard.
Realistically, millions of Americans at
one point during the day at these
different No Kings protests.

As I said
this was San Diego a remarkable photo
showing so many thousands of people and
of course I went to a No Kings protest
in Manhattan New York City this is a
video I took take a look i haven't seen
We haven't seen one person
huge let me tell you when I was there it
was blocks and blocks perhaps miles
filled with people you see how these
streets here are just filled to the brim
with people it was like that for around
20 to 30 blocks in Manhattan and if
you've been to Manhattan you know how
significant that that is you know how
wide the streets are there were probably
over a 100,000 people if not 200,000
people at the protest in New York City
we don't have exact numbers just yet but
a major major showing so while all these
people are getting out there and making
their voices heard saying we do not
stand for what Donald Trump is doing
enough is enough donald Trump is having
this embarrassing utterly humiliating
birthday parade of which he was so
excited and spent so much money on so
much time on just for it to completely
backfire on him.

Image

Image

Image

So happy birthday Trump
you got what you deserved americans out
there millions of them are protesting
against you and your little birthday
bash that we all said was a terrible
idea completely backfired what an
amazing day for democracy what an
amazing day for people who oppose the
insanity of the Trump administration so
listen I will leave the video there i
just had to show you Donald Trump's
empty birthday parade but thank you so
much for watching it means the world to
me make sure to subscribe to the channel
down below drop a like on the video
comment let me know what you think about
this let me know how your no kings
protest went if you did manage to go to
one today and as I always say I greatly
appreciate you and I hope you have an
amazing rest of your day

Trump MOVE BACKFIRES and COSTS Him MILLIONS
Legal AF
Jun 14, 2025

Musk and Trump trash American greatness by the Hungarian playbook inside a Musk raid that ends costing millions — and shutters the Wilson Center in the process.

Transcript

Welcome to the Court of History i'm Sean Wentz in Princeton with my compadre Cindy Blumenthal talking about the
connections between politics the law journalism and history um and today
we're going to be talking about assault on all of history and the law and politics um particularly well the
assault on the intelligency and the assault on the universities the assault on knowledge with particular reference
to the assault on the Woodro Wilson Center in Washington DC a very very important research center one that I was
honored actually to be a fellow at some years ago um which you will remember Sydney when I was down you were a fellow
when you I was working in the White House and you came over we had a nice lunch in the White House mess we and we
um we engage in a lot of um activities together a lot of fun um and talked
about a lot of the issues of the day and now here we are again with the Wilson
Center back in the day indeed the the issues of the day then being the uh impeachment of of President Clinton um
but I while I was there I met all sorts of extremely interesting people one of the things about the Wilson Center was
that it brought together scholars from around the world to talk about issues of lasting import um however of course the
Trump administration decided to close it down
you know what happened Sean was that in April uh Elon Musk's Doge sent in four
members of the team to the Woodro Wilson Center which is off Pennsylvania Avenue
uh it was the apple of the eye by the way of Senator Daniel Patrick Moyahan
um it's chartered as a memorial to Woodro Wilson the good part of his heritage his internationalism
and uh they came in the offices they took over the systems they told the
cent's president Mark Green a Republican former congressman to get the hell out
and they fired 130 people yeah it's a terrible terrible story but we're very
very fortunate today to have someone who was right on the ground for all of that um an extraordinary scholar in her own
right but has a lot to say about what just happened and that is Victoria Phillips
victoria is the founder and director of the Cold War Archival Research Institute the author of many books extraordinarily
wide-ranging including Martha Graham's Cold War The Dance of American Diplomacy
wonderfully wonderful title on the uh the the politics really of American dance but most recently she has been a
global fellow at the Woodro Wilson Center um she's still a fellow at the at Oxford University but was there and is
here today to tell us something victoria welcome to the court of history thank you so much for having me i really
appreciate it yes well we're very very pleased and why don't you know just to begin why Sydney told us a little bit
about what happened back in April but why don't you tell us you know from your vantage point what did it all look like
so to me the the point of what they were doing um is the evisceration of the
intelligencia through attacks that weaken but do not destroy and I think that's a key point um they're left
they're they're weakened and then left to die on their own um that the methods
of um destruction breed infighting among um or organizers um survival tactics
take over um and um the propaganda takeover I hate to say it is at the most
mundane levels um and seeps down into um the very tiny
crevices like me um and um they but he
takes over through ownership of boards universities and arts institutions and then the denial of funding either
through co coercion or legal means um so what I saw um I run something called the
cold war archival research institute which has a long history it um began at
Columbia University it made its way to the London School of Economics and after co landed at the Wilson Center in
cooperation with Christian Austerman um and um it was a very important move
because having I have a collection at the Library of Congress believing that
if it's with the government it's going to be forever um so I thought rather than tripping around institutionally it
was home um and it was a wonderful program um we train scholars in
cooperative methods of global history um rather than believing that you can't do
global history in a silo you have to break down barriers of departments of
regional institutes language culture all of that um and so the fellows literally
work as a group on discrete projects but help one another in the archive so if I
see a document that helps your project I send it over to you same thing on the
other side and we work with archavists as well and they join the conversation at the end of every day it bridged into
an institute um ironically enough um the other part of the institute was to study
humanitarian aid and the cooperation of um government and 501c3s
in um post-war 1947 um aid programs starting with food
through care international so we had two parts of this unit um we always whether
we were at Colombia London School of Economics or Wilson um we trained the students in archival practices and then
we went to Budapest to the open society archives where we studied um the
original project um was formed with A- Ross Johnson it was he and I on the board um and the idea was that those who
have written the history of the radios um uh which some credit with ending the
Cold War which I love because it could seep into the small crevices um of the
USSR through language and culture um we went into those archives um in Budapest
and therefore became um familiar with the Orban regime well Victoria before
you go into all of that about Orban and and the um and how he preceded what
Trump has done and laid the groundwork for it you know there in Washington now
you know this is like an old TV series that Sean and I might remember and others may not Naked City and they
always started with it was a crime police you know procedural black and
white crime show and they would say uh in the beginning there are 8 million stories in the naked city this is one of
them this is one of them and in Washington there are there are a lot of
stories of of travesties of what's happened to people and it'd be very
interesting to know were you there during the day when they when the Doge people came in or how did you learn
about it and what happened tell us tell us about the destruction of the Wilson
Center of which your particular program the Cold War Institute was only one of
many important um uh uh research aspects
yes so Wilson is like a nesting doll a Russian nesting doll um and my program
fell under the history and public policy program um so it was a doll within a
doll um I we we knew with the executive order in March that there was trouble um
there was the thought um and I always liken this to you know if Hitler had just rounded up the Jews and sent them
to gas chambers it wouldn't have worked it's got to be slow um and um there was
the executive order and as people do we thought well we're different we're not
quite X or Y um and while the Institute for Peace ironically founded by Ronald
Reagan um a what you know a Republican to which um these Republicans in theory
um aspired to be like um we watched them and there was the thought that well you
know if we just play nice um Ambassador Green knows how to how to play Trump
games he can he's worked with USA ID okay that's no more you know you that's
that's what you do right you rationalize ize um and then um in April came the
call um in the meantime little blurb started coming out of Wilson but I wiped
my Facebook um I had my Facebook and my other um outlets
wiped by a white hat hacker because I didn't want anything to jeopardize my
institute so that's to me fascinating and I'm a little ashamed of that um you
know but to me the goal was preserve the institute that was the most important thing what did what did they tell you
it it was hinted that we might not want to say anything that was controversial
but no one came out and said you know wipe wipe yourself i I How were you
dismissed yeah how were you informed i wasn't i I woke up one morning at 6:00
a.m i believe it was a Monday because I think they always do things over the weekend um and bingo there it was in the
newspaper i believe on I believe that I'm still up on the website as a fellow
which I'd really like to get taken down um and I immediately
panicked because I had 12 fellows ready to go to Budapest so we had been training since October every other week
to go to Budapest we had almost everything paid for and all of a sudden
it was like wait a minute then an email came from Wilson um from the history and
public policy program um on which I was CCd to the fellows that said it's over
um you know it's all done my immediate reaction was
press hold on CC all hold on to your hats
we're going anyway and what happened so what happened was that our hotel had
been paid for and a few flights i said "Everybody go into your manifest go into
your confirmation see if you've got your flights." Contacted the hotel and the hotel was paid for and we thought we had
most of the flights i said 'Go book your flights don't book them through an agency book them in your own name and
I'll get you reimbursed i had a 501c3 that was dormant that also did collaborative history we'd been paying
our taxes filing our f I went to my father crying who was on his deathbed um
but has since recovered graduated from hospice and he looked at me with blue eyes the color of Shawn's shirt and said
to me "This is the fight of your life what do you need?" I said "Daddy I need
$10,000." And he said "Fine." And he gave $10,000 to the 501c3
um and um we just started making sure that everybody had plain reservations in
juggling juggling juggling juggling of course so the the reservations were made privately then not through the center
the reservations had been made through the center now here's the rub i raised
money for the Cold War Archival Research Institute from private individuals so
when we were spending that money we were not spending government money we were spending 501c3 money
however you never know and the plane reservations travel reservations that
were not made clearly weren't going to happen but threearters of them were made
so I thought we're okay we made the rest of them um and um one of the so one of
the things I asked the students to do was use your reservation number put it in your own name find out your seat
number you know really make it specific to you um we were ready to go um we put
all the Zoom link meetings on our private Zooms we used private emails um
and and we were off and ready um we were supposed to all meet in Budapest on May
17th um the Friday before that um
everyone had flights woke up another Monday morning at 6:30 a.m opened my
computer and there's a WhatsApp from one of the students who said my reservation is gone
gone what do you mean he said it's gone give me the number of the of the airline
give me the number of the travel agent well there was one travel agent um that had booked four of the five of the
flights um one of them the ticket had been used so they couldn't cancel it
four others it wasn't that they were cancelled they
vanished and that's what I found so interesting um Lufansza said to the
student "We've never seen this before." Talked to the travel agency she said
almost exactly the same thing the reservation is gone
and that to me was was as shaking and definitive a moment
because it told me we thought they were done they had done this in April it's
three weeks later and yet they're still at work over the weekends and I said to
somebody I know quite well who's on the Trump side and believes that these are the right moves i do I always try and
talk to the opposition to understand particularly the intelligent opposition and I said jokingly but not jokingly
there must really be nothing wrong with government if they're trying to save if they're spending their weekends to spend
$3,000 to save $3,000 that's all it was for these four flights so I went back to the
students i said "Make the flights in your own name i will reimburse you." I thought we were all right then Harvard
starts then I realize I've got a 501c3 that does not meet the government agenda
and I uhoh and my experience of having been in Budapest I knew that there were
very crafty ways to get to 501c3s um and then look and then Harvard yeah
501c3 of course is a nonprofit group and you had been in Budapest and seen
Orban's authoritarian techniques used and um and now you were seeing them
applied here in the United States how'd that make you feel and what I what we
saw between 2014 and the present was the evolution of Orban's practices taking
hold and my expertise is modern dance so I first saw it there and was fascinated
by it because at some point what did he do he took over the theaters then I
understood from people in the modern dance community he basically blacklisted
domestic funders of modern dance it's free it's individualistic it requires um
canesthetic understanding um and those dancers went to Germany where I have
good friends who kind of run modern dance in Germany modern dance went underground orban reconfigures modern
dance into some kind of Hungarian folk and circus
fascinating i found dance schools that were underground and I went took my students there um last year they're gone
now um and the same thing's happening in contemporary art contemporary theater um
so I had seen the breakdown of not forprofits in the arts area kennedy
Center of course of course Trump has taken over the Kennedy Center and attacked the arts and attacked the
Smithsonian and Right right um and I had of course witnessed and been through the
um the the downing of Central European University CEU because when we first got
there CEU was alive it was vibrant uh my mother actually had a hand in putting
together the medieval studies department um this is a university in Budapest right and it's funded by was funded by
Soros a beautiful building um modern um glass and and marble um library with all
the books in it i mean it was really a wonderful place and and CEU was attached to the open society archives so we do
conferences um that would then happen at CEU i partnered with the US with the
West Point Military Academy um so I would bring my fellows along with four cadetses well between two and four
cadets from um West Point Military Academy so you know to look at hard and soft power because I claim you can't
understand one without the other so there was this dialogue um you know it was it was really kind of I thought
forwardinking um uh programming and while I was at CU
I'll never forget this i was giving a keynote speech on the history of truth
as propaganda in the United States um and it was during Trump's first term i
started with George Washington Lincoln the Cold War um you know truth dollar
campaigns and all of these things the kind of bastardization of truth and then here we are with Trump where there is no
such thing there's alternate facts um and I had somebody who followed me at
that point um and listened to me and um he came up to me and he said you know um
there are cameras um above and listening devices in the walls be careful of what
you say i knew they had been in my computer someone is who who is he did you ever did you know who he was yeah I
know i know exactly who he is he was I don't mean individually what was he was he he's his his he was posing as a
student at the at Corinus University um where I had been offered a job um he was
not a student at Corvos University um and um at one point he came up to me and
he said "I have a new job now we can be friends." Which I thought was fabulous i
guess he grew to like me um but so but but you know I stood up to give this talk about the history of truth as
propaganda and what Trump was doing kind of as a long American tradition of monkeying with with with these things um
and I was very nervous at first and I thought what difference does it make but they were in our computers we know they
were in our computers they were following us around um at the Wilson Center or th this was while um this was
part of the Seawore Institute so I was connected to the Wilson Center but um it wasn't they were more interested in me
because I was at CEU in Corinus um I was I was then hired to work at Corinus
which is now run by Orban they did exactly what they're trying to do at Colombia Dartmouth um which is to put
people on the board um and um so the the board at Corvas got taken over the
funding was through some wacky oil stock
manipulations which I loved because I had I was a short seller on Wall Street and love financial malarkey um and um
then COVID hit i I was supposed to teach anyway i was supposed to teach two courses one on women and gender in the
cold war which included gay rights and this kind of thing abortion and the other was on the his general history of
the cold war and culture my gender class was eliminated sure um
so I was right at that cusp when they were saying yes yes and then ah co now I
can nip it at the bud right and now what we're told is oh come teach at core
venus I said well I can't teach gend I can't teach gender oh it's okay we'll pay you really well you can teach
anything else and it's you know and we'll give you a parking spot and we'll
give you money and Budapest is a great place to live um So
that to me that was um that was fascinating what I when I was in Budapest this last time there was a poll
over the open society archives because you as you know in 2017 Orban put in um
the mandate um that um talk that that was so that he can watch who gives money
to what um and then you can and then there's a you know call it a blacklist um you know whatever you want to call it
in 2025 they've reintroduced proposed leg legislation for a transparency of
public life which is a bill that allows government to monitor restrict penalize
and potentially ban organizations that receive foreign funding i.e central
European universities should it have been there not already have been gotten rid of through um accreditation removals
um but um uh it it would literally shut
down the open society archive because it would be deemed a threat to national
sovereignty however the the open society archive holds US government state
department archive what happens to them so in essence closing that and the US
allowing that to be closed is like closing a small section of the National Security Archive or telling Hoover at
Stanford no one can see that collection yeah so um so I can understand Orban's
motives and here we are at the Wilson Center which is a leading social science center
of international work and policy uh and history in the United States and did any
of the people who were involved in shutting down Wilson ever explain their motives and what do you think their
motives are are there motives that somehow you're the deep state what is it
no one has said a thing nothing absolutely nothing um it it's not that
you you weren't engaged in waste and fraud and all the things that Doge usually talks about that's right well they it could I mean that's what's so
funny is it can't possibly have been about waste because the the it had an
endowment so actually Doge and the government lose money right by firing us
so I my um endowment was about $400,000 they've got to give that back correct so
So it So there is no It's like the um uh the State Department historian oversight
board that was paid $125 a year that's not cost savings that's about getting
rid of the intelligencia and I think CEU and the Open Society archives are now at
battle with one another they used to work together um all of the the Kenan
Institute the Kissinger Institute and the History and Public Policy Institute you know there was this idea we're all
going to get together um and go off and do something because I there's something between and I'm not privy to the numbers
20 and $40 million in endowment that is notation center right that is not that's
a private endowment that's private that's not it's got to be given back to whoever gave it um I'm in the midst of
lawsuits now um or potential lawsuits i've been asked not to file a lawsuit i've been in in legal action I should
say um where um I've said I want the money back um that my donors gave for
this specific purpose which is lawful i asked for that back in April i get all
these stories um I think there are some people who really are well-intentioned
um one story was everyone's getting their money back don't worry don't write any legal letters well that's just I was
on Wall Street for too long no um I wrote a letter no no harm in writing a
letter guess what it's all got to be returned um then more more and more more
um then well only institutions get their money back individuals will be
considered a gift nope another lawyer's letter i was told recently that anything
that was given last year will be given back and everything else is up for Nope
um and so now I've gone to all the other donors um and I've got them engaged with
my lawyer to send out exactly the same letter because it doesn't matter when it was given um and it's this drip drip
drip why am I spending my days when I should be writing books and writing
anything but I'm on the phone with lawyers i'm frustrated anxious upset um
and I think that's part of it i think that's part of the tactic is because as
we're fighting we can't work well this is your work now in a way and um taking
on this authoritarian takeover and um um but they've also
um instead of um as you pointed out found waste fraud and abuse simply uh
arbitrarily destroyed a major intellectual center that serves um the
prestige interest and scholarship um for the United States and now got the place
got the government embroiled in legal action that will cost its money and um
is uh and will have to possibly in the end pay millions of dollars that's right
so the government has to pay legally millions doubledigit millions of dollars
back yet they spent their weekend to get rid of plane tickets that added up to
under $3,000 to replace it it So it's it has nothing to do with cost savings i
would call it very inefficient wouldn't I would call it very inefficient wouldn't you it's not only in it's
inefficient it's a waste of time um and but it means that that it means they
really care it's like Orban going after modern dance i thought to myself that's
really detailed and weird if it's that deep it means that all of this stuff
with the bros fighting and you know that subtuge and what's going on underneath
is very very serious and not at all funny or entertaining and it's
interesting too i mean you mentioned the Kissinger Center and the Kennan Center and the things that were involved that you're involved in about the Cold War
and so forth i mean these are these are the pillars of anti-communist um um foreign policy since you know since 1947
um now all that is off the board right now it seems to me i mean now the whole
cold war is being rewritten that the friends that we're having that we have for example in the Soviet Union or in
Russia rather are bringing back those aspects but we opposed from 1947 on i
just find it you know I mean it's no accident maybe but I mean it it seems that there's some sort of ideological
aspect to this too maybe they're not aware of it maybe they don't get it but that's exactly what they're doing is undoing what has been the the story of
the West's success in winning the Cold War they are undoing that story that
That's absolutely correct and Orban has done that I think um most dramatically for the public well not most
dramatically but very dramatically for the public um with museums and history
talks i make my students go on walking tours of um of Budapest and it's there's
always a shred of truth um but at the um at the synagogue we were told that the
Jews went away i've been to that synagogue
um and then we were told that "Oh but nobody knew they had left." Um because
the Germans had taken them and they all lived in their own neighborhood so how were we supposed to know they left i
mean how many things are wrong with this sentence so they're into Holocaust denial as well but here in the United
States the Orwellian rewriting of history
um particularly the Cold War which was you know a very
long project of you know decades and generations in both parties in different
ways uh to somehow now if that is the motive to land up
uh to obliterate it to wipe it out to throw it down the memory hall and wind
up in effect on the other side
is is is um is is quite a turn of events and I think
because you know because the cold war with its many hot wars but as a larger
cold war was a propaganda battle and it was a battle of ideologies um it's particularly significant that
it's being rewritten um for me that this this idea of the
fungibility of truth um uh facts um all of those things is really important um
in in all of this Um so the the telling of the Cold War is so difficult anyway
when you're mcking about um with value systems and um and and core cultural
values um it's really dangerous let me ask you a question in which you can put
on your Cold War scholars hat uh about what's going on now and the relationship
between Trump and Putin in relationship to the
the reinterpretation of the Cold War which is a question back of my question
too yeah that's sort of what Sean was talking about what's your your view on this i don't I don't know enough about
Putin um and I'm certainly not a Russia scholar um what I've seen um is deeply
disturbing and um so anti-Republican i.e
republican party um as it's like a misnomer um it makes no sense um Putin
makes sense in terms of his desire to rebuild the empire um really the Tsarist
empire rather than the USSR I think um but that relationship um I leave to to
other people um the relationship that I am am more skilled at seeing um I'm
writing a biography of Ellanar Lancing Dulles who was the sister of John Foster
and Allan um Foster being Secretary of State under Eisenhower Allen being head
of the CIA under Eisenhower and then briefly Kennedy um and she basically ran
Berlin and no one knows about her and she was like the puppet master she had men doing the stuff and she was holding
the strings and she's a fascinating character brought several billion dollars in to rebuild um Berlin and
Austria um and um when when she was um
going through Germany um was as a young woman um she observed what was going on
and so I was in some State Department memos about uh what Germany looked like
um 1933 and that's where I see the parallels
yeah that's um because what's really worrisome to me having been in the
finance world is people like Jamie Diamond um saying at one point at the
Aspen Institute a few years ago and or within the last
two years and said Trump will be good for taxes and the economy
what um and it was really and you know he's since gone back and forth um but you
know it was it it was really reminiscent to me of um the
the the wealthy businessmen lawyers industrial leaders um going along with
this um and I think Orban did the same thing um where I find so there's a to me
there's a playbook book um that is very similar where Trump does not meet the
playbook and I know it sounds really weird if I were Trump and I wanted to
stay in power I'd start a war um so I'd make sure to have some kind of big war
executive power then you get three terms Roosevelt all over Bloomberg 911 right
he's got to be in power um great for the economy um but what he what Trump isn't
doing is that buildup to war so the Orban takes money from China from Russia
and um from the EU so life is is very good in Budapest things are inexpensive
quality is good housing is great um same thing with Hitler they terrible terrible
depression then he got them out blah blah blah this is not Trump is not doing
this so I'm wondering if maybe he's not that smart um so my hope is for a great
recession um that will anger people enough that
somehow politically it'll turn over obviously with the military action that's not looking like like as though
it's going to be such a such a possible outcome um so to me the the following
through with Orban and and um and and the Nazi party and Hitler um I'm seeing
that a Trump's got to boost the economy or he's sunk unless he starts a war and
that's also your Wall Street expertise speaking right that's right and that's me as also I've got to admit that's me
as a short seller um you know what I'm seeing with Seawore
that's really positive is I just landed at Oxford so there um Oxford just took
Seawore as Cold War writing lives yesterday um and I'm I'm writing a
syllabus for next year and no one's stopping this victoria you're now part of
the exile of American scholars to foreign lands and just you're probably
in the first wave of um American intelligence
science medical research um you know all kinds of physical
research um leaving about to leave this country
that's correct you're leaving yes I I live here um luckily Seawir is um is
virtual most yeah um I I do I was living in England when I was at the London School of You're going to go back you're
going to go take this program to Oxford right virtually um the other thing that Oxford does is that my fellows are
international um so this year threequarters of the fellows could not have gotten into the United States
so I have to take it out of the United States if we're going to meet in person so the United States is cutting itself
off from all of the strengths it had in the past that's correct and and that
includes the strength and expertise that has brought medical innovation and um
technology and frankly the you know the best war systems that we've got it's a
little frightening yeah well it's um I mean I look I hope your
short seller self um doesn't come true um at this one time and that you will
indeed survive and that we'll all survive there won't be a grand war um let's hope for the best but but you've
been through a lot and I can tell that you're going to keep on going Victoria so So thank you we're going to have to wrap it up now we'd like to keep it
going we'll we'll be we'll have you back we'll we'll talk more but for now thank you so much Karajio and um we'll see you

The federal government is LYING to the American People.

After the Department of Defense did it, now the official Department of Homeland Security account is spreading a fake video -- not from this year -- to justify Trump's illegal militarization of Los Angeles.

This isn't just disinformation. It's a propaganda campaign from the highest levels of government.

Law and Order will RETURN to our streets.

This week at DHS we are surging federal law enforcement to detain and deport criminal illegal aliens, protect American citizens, and bring safety back to our communities....

Trump STAFF QUITTING Over DISASTER BIRTHDAY PARADE: "WE ARE OUT OF HERE?!"

Transcript

i have to tell you people have been kind
of blown away today by the turnout there
are thousands of people not just crowded
here on the steps of the New York Public
Library but all down Fifth Avenue
they're about to start making their way
downtown marching toward Madison Square
Park and these are people of all
backgrounds i have spoken to veterans
who served our military for decades who
are outraged i have spoken to people who
say they've never shown up to a protest
before but they're disgusted by the
imagery that they've seen coming out of
Los Angeles the aggressive immigration
enforcement they've seen across the
country families that have been torn
apart this is really a broad coalition
of people from immigrant uh activists
and organizers who've been doing this
work for a long time to people who are
very much brand new to this uh but
Stephanie I want to introduce you to one
person who's here with us and is
speaking out today mark Ruffalo thank
you so much for giving us your time
thank you for having me so why does this
matter why are people out here getting
soaked in the rain to send a message
because we see our democracies in real
trouble we see um a president who has uh
made himself a king and dictator and um
we don't see an opposition that's
powerful enough to stand up against the
um the trampling of our rights and the
trampling of the constitution that's
happening every single day with
executive orders with the um refusal to
obey court orders um kidnapping of of of
uh immigrants people who are here
legally people who um their children are
being taken from them uh we're disgusted
and we're scared and we know that the
only way that to fight this now is for
the people is to come together do you
think what we've seen out of Los Angeles
and the all the workplace raids we've
seen in recent days do you think that's
changed something in people you've been
doing this work for a long time but I've
met a lot of people today who have never
done this before the blessing of these
kinds of moments for any group of people
is that it opens your eyes it forces you
out of your comfort zone it makes you
appreciate the things that we have that
we cherish that we love and those things
are each other those things are our
communities those things are the people
that make this incredible
experiment and democracy work
that's what we get to earn from these
terrible times trump is trying to take
our freedoms away so we have to be
reminded of what those freedoms actually
are what do you think it's going to be
like for people to experience this
parade in DC tonight what message is it
sending to Americans to see their
military used in this way it's a message
that this president does not care about
any of our founding father's principles
one of the reasons we separated the
military from the executive branch was
because we were leaving countries where
dictators were using the military
against the people we're seeing it
already happening in California it is
sending a message to the American people
that the Constitution means nothing and
it's spitting literally spitting on our
military members and the history of this
country which has been to fight fascism
and dictatorship throughout the world do
you think this is just the beginning of
a movement here this is only the
beginning this is an awakening of
democracy it's a reimagining of what
this country means to people what it
should mean they're pointing the guns in
the wrong direction
it's not the immigrants who are taking
anything it's not that there isn't
enough for everyone in this country it's
that there's a few very very very very
wealthy powerful people who are taking
too much it's the billionaires and it's
the people in power that are taking from
the American people which is leaving us
feeling desperate this is the answer to
that this is the re-imagination of
America and the reestablishment of our
democratic principles one of the
questions I get all the time and I know
Steph gets all the time as a reporter is
you know well well how do we really know
if we're at the precipice when do we
know that normalization has creeped in
how how do you wake up and know
authoritarianism is here when a US
senator
is tackled by questioning the head of
Homeland Security in a press conference
press conference okay we're not in the
halls of Congress now we're in a press
conference for the American people when
a US senator is tackled in a press
conference
representing his constituency with a
question to the homeland security who
has invaded that state with a military
presence you know you're heading towards
dictatorship
that's a turning point you're only going
to see more of that happen this this
administration will continue to
overreach and this will be the response
we're not going away we're not going to
be quiet we love each other and we
realize that we love this country so
much that we're leaving our homes today
in the rain to express our friendship
and love for the people here who made
this place and unless you're a Native
American or a Mexican
you're an immigrant
we made this place thank you so much i
know you've been dying so a split cream
split screen is your jam yes set this up
for us what is tomorrow going to look
like for the United States of America
it's not going to feel like America to
any reasonable person who remembers
whatever vision of America they were
sold um all of this feels and I think
autocratic is maybe not even cutting
through enough anymore and I'll use a
term that is sort of out of vogue but I
think maybe resonates it feels third
world all of this military parades plus
secret police disappearing people all of
this layered with what we'll get to I'm
sure when it comes to you know just the
prospect of World War II all of it feels
like whatever version of America you
wanted this cannot possibly be it if
you're being honest with what you signed
up for when it came to patriotism this
is so deeply self-centric the birthday
salute it's so deeply undemocratic
what's happening in LA with all of the
obvious motives involved um yeah it's
it's embarrassing stuff well let's talk
about No Kings Day what has to happen
Anthony for these protests to make an
impact how do they carry the momentum
past this weekend and by impact I mean a
a positive impact for the protesters to
consider it a success not an impact that
is going to be a disastrous conflict
between the administration and the
protesters yeah i mean I think they just
got to keep their eye on the ball like
what is the ball well I think the ball
is resistance to uh the you know
king-like behavior that the president is
exhibiting right now like secret police
raiding you know schools and you know uh
we've even just saw today for the first
time a US Marine detaining a US citizen
on US soil those kind of images are
going to last they're going to resonate
uh resistance to those images unified
resistance you know law-abiding unified
resistance is something that I think can
resonate past this weekend but uh the
ball is you know the the thing that
they're specifically saying that they're
in opposition to like don't try to make
the tent any smaller don't try to have
purity tests among the activists just
you know be unified colonel Jack uh New
York Times Pentagon correspondent said
retired military officials are worried
that tomorrow we could have a Tianaan
Square moment you know one single
protester standing in front of a tank
what is your reaction to this well it's
always possible you know you've got a
country of 347 million people the law of
large numbers says that the uh there's
always the possibility that one or more
of them are going to do something
exactly like that um the thing about the
you talking about the parade i mean I
spent a lot of time in the milit I spent
a lot of time in parades myself
and uh full disclosure I hate parades
why i hate parade uh you're standing out
there almost for you got to practice
forever right you're standing out there
for a long period of time either in the
baking the baking sun or what may be
tomorrow the pouring rain to the
arandisement of some highranking guy and
at the end of the day you're taking time
away from training uh to close with the
enemy to kill or capture him which is
what your job ought to be and for an
administration that prides itself on
turning the military into a lean mean
fighting machine spending any amount of
time on a parade field is absolute
absolute nonsense the Guardian is
reporting that some members of the
military who are participating in the
parade feel like pawns they're they're
not happy to be there they're almost
embarrassed especially when you consider
what's happening overseas and we have
men and women defending our country
overseas yeah we have a lot of things to
do
all of them are important and the least
important of all of them is being in a
parade and ye yes I I I've spoken to a
lot of people in the chain of command
who are terribly concerned about the use
of the military in this kind of
environment for this kind of purpose
they think it's extremely dangerous but
more dangerous than just taking time
away from doing important things like
training uh and in it's possible that it
begins to instill in the rank and file
the notion that this is the proper use
of the military instrument of power uh
for the arrandisement of one person uh
no matter what it's purported to be and
the danger is that this will uh this
will feed on itself and ultimately
become the thing that we ought to do
with our military establishment rather
than training them to defeat our enemies
very very dangerous and if you talk to
you talk to people in the chain of
command they'll tell you exactly that a
waste of time but what about sea
colossal waste of money over hundred
million dollars right this parade is
costing taxpayers right how do how are
we supposed to take doge seriously when
this administration is about cutting
government waste and we're going to
spend over a hundred million dollars
right we're we're firing tens of
thousands of government workers just
doing their jobs but we're going to
spend money on this what's the rationale
there depends on how you want to take
those seriously as a manifestation of
the administration's policies to
essentially uh reduce it reduce services
for poor people and low-income people
yes it's very serious and they're very
good at that apparently um but in terms
of wasting money on all kinds of things
like parades or sending the president to
golf in Mara Lago every other weekend or
every weekend maybe um yeah it's it's a
very difficult contradiction to stomach
what worries me more what the colonel
was talking about though is this notion
of further ingraining militarism into
the psyche of Americans and what what
and who we are i was in Russia for six
years um and and we all saw the parades
that they had and that was Russia and I
would never forget that when the Soviet
Union fell the first statue they put up
was to General Zukov there are so many
former Trump staffers and many of them
left uh on their own valition much
earlier than they should have or maybe
often do or they were fired for refusing
to do what Trump wanted to do the reason
why guys is because of moments like
today the totalitarian
flavor of it all the excess of it all
the ego of it all the the fact that even
if you support Trump's project like how
many hours were wasted on this that
could have been spent advancing your
evil right-wing causes like let's say
you're a Dantis type person it's like
man Donald you spent how many hours on
this we could have been banning the
rights of another person like I know
that sounds crazy we obviously don't
support that but it's like from the
right from the left from the center from
any perspective social economic uh
constitutional you can look at this
event and hate it
right and there's really only one way to
look at it and not hate it and that's
from Trump's direction and only his so
you want to know why so many people have
quit on Trump look to days like this
because again quitting on Trump it
wasn't always just purely ideological
yes it was usually more moderate
Republicans getting out while they could
and I'm not trying to excuse those
people but you had people from the right
quit when Trump just had no policy
consistency
right or was just you know uh creating
spending political capital in a way that
made achieving their goals more
difficult because you spend time on a
dumb dumb parade and you spend time on
your whatever coin you're selling to
somebody and not on actually doing your

Summary

• Trump orders ICE to pause raids on farms, hotels, restaurants
• Directive allows investigations into serious crimes like human trafficking
• Farm industry groups skeptical directive will protect immigrant workers

WASHINGTON, June 14 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has directed immigration officials to largely pause raids on farms, hotels, restaurants and meatpacking plants, according to an internal email reviewed by Reuters, a senior Trump official, and a person familiar with the matter.

The order to scale back U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids came from Trump himself, the person familiar with the matter said, and appears to rein in a late-May demand by top White House aide Stephen Miller for more aggressive sweeps.

Trump was not aware of the extent of the enforcement push and "once it hit him, he pulled it back," the person said.

The new directive, issued on Thursday, still allows for investigations into serious crimes such as human trafficking. The New York Times first reported, opens new tab the guidance.

Trump took office in January pledging to deport millions of immigrants in the U.S. illegally. While Trump framed the effort around removing serious criminals, thousands of suspected immigration offenders with no criminal records have been swept up in recent months.

ICE's more aggressive tactics - including raids in Los Angeles - have sparked protests and pushback from Democrats. Some Republican lawmakers have called on the administration to focus on criminal offenders.

Trump said on Thursday that he would issue an order soon to address the effects of his immigration crackdown on the country's farm and hotel industries, which rely heavily on immigrant labor.

“We will follow the president’s direction and continue to work to get the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens off of America’s streets," U.S. Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement when asked about the new ICE guidance.

The White House pointed to a Trump social media post on Thursday where he said farms and hospitality businesses were concerned the administration's far-reaching immigration enforcement was taking away "very good, long time workers" and promising changes.

U.S. farm industry groups have long wanted Trump to spare their sector from mass deportations, which could upend a food supply chain dependent on immigrants.

The United Farm Workers union said on Friday that it was skeptical the new directive would help workers without legal status. The group said it had calls from members about immigration arrests even after the new directive was issued.

"As long as Border Patrol and ICE are allowed to sweep through farm worker communities making chaotic arrests...they are still hunting down farm workers," the union said in a statement.

Iran-Israel Tension: Latest update with in-depth analysis
Al Jazeera English
Jun 15, 2025 #aljazeeralivenews #iranisraeltensions #iranisraelconflict

Iran has launched a series of missile strikes on targets across Israel, including areas near Haifa and Tel Aviv, reportedly killing at least 10 people, according to medics and local media.

The escalation follows Israeli airstrikes on civilian and energy infrastructure in Iran, including a major attack that set off a fire at Tehran’s Shahran oil facility. The Israeli military stated that its strikes were aimed at locations “linked to the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons program.”

is in Aman Jordan and Tohira Sadi is in
Thran We'll speak to them in just a
moment First this report from Osama bin
Javit
Another morning of explosions across
Iran This one during rush hour in the
central city of Isfahan
The provincial headquarters of the
Ministry of Defense was struck by Israel
Plumes of smoke arising from oil
facilities in Shiraz and the capital
Thran It's day three of Israel's attacks
And Iran's top diplomat is warning of
further retaliation if Israel doesn't
stop
It is a response to the Israeli attacks
and violations Once these attacks stop
we will reciprocate We were engaged in
rounds of negotiations with the US The
sixth round of talks was supposed to be
held in Oman The Zionist entity is not
willing to see us reaching an agreement
or a diplomatic solution with the United
States
Overnight Iran struck Israel with
multiple waves of missiles and drones
There were several direct hits on the
cities of Hifa and Tel Aviv
[Music]
Israeli citizens were told to seek
shelter through the night as Iran and
Yemen responded to Israel's attacks
Israel's advanced air defense systems
could not stop all the rockets and
missiles
On Saturday Israel launched more attacks
targeting Iran's critical energy
infrastructure
As night fell an oil depot near the
capital Thran was hit and caught fire
Satellite images revealed the impact of
Israel's earlier strikes on Iran's
nuclear facilities
As missiles continue to land in both
countries calls by international leaders
for calm have not been able to halt the
conflict Samajave Alazer
Well let's get the latest now on the
ground with Tohira Asadi who's in Thran
for us So what's been the aftermath of
the Israeli strikes on Iran how
significant are they in terms of
operational and symbolic impact
well actually this is a nonprecented
level of escalation between Iran and
Israeli and Israeli side and what we see
on the ground is quite indicative of
this huge amount of confrontation that
goes on between the two countries We
have seen so far uh explosions
activation of air defense system in the
past two days across the country
including here in capital where we saw
two overnight attacks to two of the oil
deposits of the country one in the
western part of the capital in Shahan
and the other one if you can see it
behind me in the southern parts of Thran
we have got we've got another oil pot
being attacked by the Israelis and the
Iranian refinery is set to be fully
functioning we had the same similar
reports from Isvahan where an attack
happened to one Ministry of Defense
facility saying that there is a
possibility of casualties coming out of
that scene also we've got the report
from the refinery of Isvahan saying that
the energy infrastructures there has not
been damaged The same report came from
the Iran from from the tan refinery
center but still we are dealing with a
lot of different developments First of
you mentioned coming out live today with
different statements saying that Iran is
going to continue as long as Israelis
continue their military strikes But last
one last point I wanted to share with
you if I may is this uh headline by
Kahhan newspaper saying that we're going
to finish the war and we're going to
finish Israel together This is very
interesting showing the rhetoric that is
here in Thran Right I was going to ask
you about you know the the reaction and
how concerned Iranians are given that
Israel has also been issuing a force
displacement order to Iranian civilians
uh to leave their homes if they live in
the vicinity of weapons sites How
concerned are people about this
very concerned indeed because we've got
this initial reports that Israelis are
targeting military and nuclear sites at
the very beginning but later on it turns
out that it's not just the military
sites It's not just the uh nuclear
facilities that are under under the
attack We saw uh civilian
infrastructures We saw energy
infrastructures and we saw buildings not
related to actually military complexes
or military or weapon uh companies but
very buildings that belong to ordinary
citizens including one that belonged to
university professors here in the
capital We were there uh to cover the
story and we saw that uh the attack they
they just targeted these buildings in
which Iranian top nuclear scientist Dr
tan She was assassinated alongside with
his wife and several civilians Footages
are coming out uh showing that women and
children are being killed as a result of
these strikes There is a funeral
scheduled for Tuesday and according to a
state TV report at least in in one of
these scenes under strike at least 20
children have been killed So people are
pretty much aware of the very fact that
this is not a nuclear or military
related set of strikes But indeed
regardless of whatever comes from the
Israeli side as their statements the
true the tr the matter of let's say
story is that people are aware that the
Israelis are going to attack any target
possible Okay Toh thank you for bringing
us the latest there from Thran Tohira
Sadi Let's find out what's been
happening in Israel now and bring in Nor
Oda who's in Jordan's capital Aman nor
is not in Israel because Israeli
government has banned Al Jazzer from
reporting from Israel and the occupied
West Bank The level of attacks in Israel
is unprecedented Nor doubt What what's
the damage inflicted on Israel by the
Iranian missile strikes
well the physical damage is quite
extensive as is the psychological impact
Let's start with Hifa uh home of the
Israeli Navy and the refinery refineries
as well The pipelines and the
transmissions have sustained damage
Although according to Israeli
authorities refining activities continue
but that is something that is surely to
have some sort of impact economically
Near Hifa in the town of Tamra four
Palestinian Israeli women were killed
when a missile struck their home There
are no shelters in that Palestinian
Israeli town The most hit area most
impacted is Batyam that out on the
outskirts of Tel Aviv Uh at least six
people are confirmed dead and rescue
operations continue uh to retrieve
people from under the rubble The Israeli
president it's Hakerog as well as the
prime minister and other ministers
visited uh the site an indication really
of just how strong how traumatic uh the
images coming out of Batyam are for the
wider Israeli public The Minister of
Energy the Israeli Minister of Energy
said that for every building Iran takes
down in Israel Israel will take down 100
in Iran So that just gives you an
indication of what the what the tone in
Israel officially is at the very least
and and nor I imagine that neighboring
countries like Jordan where you are and
Iraq extremely concerned about the risk
of escalation the risk of this spreading
Absolutely Because if this escalates
even further and if the United States
comes into the mix fully as many Israeli
uh leaders ministers and even opposition
figures are urging it to then uh we
would be talking about a completely
different and s and and and certainly
more serious scenario Jordan uh Iraq
Syria Lebanon uh the occupied
Palestinian territory the people in
those countries are directly impacted
economically impacted The oil prices are
up The airspace in Iraq has been shut
down since Friday In Syria as well and
as in Lebanon in Jordan it's been on and
off uh during the night hours when Iran
usually launches its ballistic missiles
the airspace is closed This is extremely
disruptive The crossing the border
crossing between Jordan and the occupied
West Bank was also closed It's beginning
to see a bit of activity although the
occupied West Bank is under shutdown All
of those things on the minds of course
no doubt of the governments here who are
watching uh new uh normals being
established in the region none that they
would like to see established and
entrenched as the uh new way of doing
business in the region and hence the
expectation and the calls really for
intervention to deescalate rather than
to encourage an all-out uh escalation in
the region No thank you very much That's
nor live there in Aman
Well President Donald Trump has issued a
warning to Iran not to attack American
targets In a post on Truth Social he
said the US had nothing to do with the
attack on Iran tonight If we're attacked
in any way shape or form by Iran the
full strength and might of the US armed
forces will come down on you at levels
never seen before he says However we can
easily get a deal done between Iran and
Israel and end this bloody conflict
Let's bring in Shia Bratanzi in
Washington DC for us Since that
statement the Iranians have cancelled
the nuclear talks with the US that were
due to happen today the sixth round of
talks that were due to happen in Oman
Shihab what's been the reaction from the
Trump administration
well that seemed to be it in fact And it
was striking then that the Iranian
foreign minister in his press conference
a few hours ago made a point bypoint
reply to each point in Donald Trump's
truth his posting on Truth Social So
Trump said the US had nothing to do with
the attack on Iran The Iranian foreign
minister said "We have evidence that you
were involved." The Americans were
involved Not only that you yourself have
tweeted and boasted about the American
involvement Trump says "Don't attack US
armed forces." The Iranian foreign
minister said "We don't want to
regionalize this war All we're doing is
defending ourselves from the Israeli
aggression." And then Trump said "We can
easily get a deal done." And the Iranian
foreign minister said "Yes." And that's
precisely why the Israelis launched this
attack because they don't want us to get
a deal stop the Israelis and then we can
get back to diplomacy Shab thank you for
that Shab Ratanzi in Washington DC
Meanwhile the UK's Prime Minister Kama
says Royal Air Force jets will be sent
to the Middle East for contingency
support as the situation between Iran
and Israel escalates Thran has
threatened to attack US French and
British bases if those countries help
Israel against Iranian strikes Let's
bring in Rory Challenge in London for
more on this So talk to us about this US
UK decision I should say to send more
assets to the region Are we soon likely
to see British jets helping Israel
well Karma was specifically asked about
that Reporters were talking to him while
he was flying from the UK to Canada to
go and take place in the take part in
the the G7 summit there where of course
this new war is going to be very very
high on the agenda reporters spoke to
Kstama and they said are you going to
help Israel out if there's fresh barages
of missiles coming in and very
specifically Karmama did not give a yes
or a no to that question He said these
are obviously operational decisions and
the situation is ongoing and developing
and therefore I'm not going to get into
the precise details What he did say
though was that the UK is already uh
sending further uh support in military
terms to the region to its air bases in
in the region These are fast jets and
refueling aircraft u which he said are
going to provide contingency support uh
in that region Now he said that he would
always make the right decision for the
UK and clearly these comments were
coming uh in response to the threats
that Iran had had made to the UK among
others that if they help Israel out
their military bases military assets
will be targeted in the area And the UK
does have military bases It's got one in
Qatar it's got one in the UAE and it's
got one in Aman at least So I think the
UK karma is taking that threat quite
seriously Thank you Rory for that Rory
challenge in London
Now as we've heard Iran's foreign
minister has been defending the
retaliatory strikes against Israel
Abbasi says Israel committed a strategic
mistake by targeting Iran's energy
facilities which escalate the conflicts
We do not seek to expand the war unless
it is imposed on us We do not wish for
this conflict to spread to other
countries or other parts of the region
Let's discuss this further now with
Hamid Resa Golam Zad who's director of
the Diplo House a think tank focused on
foreign policy is joining us from Thran
Thank you so much for your time Um I
want you to help us understand this
message from the Iranian foreign
minister that we've heard Is it also
directed to the countries in this region
that they perhaps need to get more
involved diplomatically to deescalate
the situation
uh yes of course as it was mentioned
today and in the phone calls and the
conversations that foreign ministry and
president have had with the counterparts
in other countries in the region they
have emphasized that they need to help
the uh diplomacy and they need to
condemn the attack by the Israelis
because if the tensions escalate it can
actually enrage the whole region and it
would be against everyone's interest But
we've heard condemnation from from some
countries in the region uh of the
Israeli attacks What what options what
would Iran like to see happen further
what options do these countries have
today
so far the countries in the region have
been supportive and cooperative with
Iran and that's uh very positive uh
another message that Iran has sent
diplomatically has been to the Swiss
embassy as the uh interest section of
the United States and the message has
been that this game is not something
that you get into that it's not uh your
business and you would be better uh to
stay out of this game It is only for the
Israelis and either of the capitals
Washington Paris London or the others if
they want to get involved It would be a
damage to that Uh so Iran is making it
clear to uh westerners that if they get
involved into that their repercussions
and the consequences would be against
them as well and they would be uh
possibly the targets for Iranian
missiles and Iranian retaliation if they
want to get involved in one one way or
the other As far as Iran is concerned
would you say all the red lines have
been crossed in these past 3 days or is
there still uh room for some sort of uh
negotiated settlement here
uh the Israelis are constantly attacking
civilians and civilian areas They
targeted a a market house appliance
market today and when the rescue forces
were there they bombed the place again
and to take more casualties Uh they have
been attacking houses and residential
buildings from the earliest hours they
have continuing this So they have
already passed all the red lines and
when they pass these red lines uh Iran
needs to take serious actions against
that Yes the same model that was
happening was happening in Gaza and in
Lebanon is being repeated by the
Israelis here to take uh civilian
casualties in order to frighten the
Iranians and the people However it's not
going to work like that But anyway the
people are being killed by Israelis and
Iran needs to stop this war machine
Let me ask you about the Americans here
We we've seen and heard the statement
from President Donald Trump that Iran
needs to negotiate a deal on its nuclear
program Thran we know has canled the
sixth round of talks with the US which
was due to happen today in Oman What
will it take for the Iranians to return
to the negotiating table
there is no ground for uh any
negotiations anymore The negotiations
were were supposed to protect Iranian
nuclear program ensure the uh the rest
of the world of its peacefulness and to
ease the sanctions against Iranian
economy None of them is possible right
now The Israelis are attacking nuclear
facilities They have been clearly and
blatantly supported by the Americans
President Trump has clearly supported
them and there's no ground for so are
you saying that there's no avenue for
for diplomacy at all i don't think for
the time being there is any unless the
balance of power is reshaped again with
the current uh military campaigns that
is going on Iran would bring Israelis to
it knees and as when they admit the
defeat and then there would be time for
negotiations about stopping the attacks
and military campaigns But until then
there is no ground for Iran to get to
the table and be open to negotiations
because it would be translated into uh
actually a weakness from Iranian side
and it would be benefit in benefit for
the Israelis and is not going to accept
that because they would attack against
Iran again in the future Okay Thank you
so much for for sharing uh the view
there from Iran Hamid Raza Golazam
joining us from the Iranian capital Tan
Let's get the perspective from Israel
now and speak to Alan Pinkis who's a
former Israeli diplomat and columnist
for the independent newspaper in the UK
He joins us from Tel Aviv Thank you so
much Mr Pinkis for your time Um I'll ask
you about the the what's going on in
Israel in a moment but I just wanted to
get your thoughts and reaction to what
the Iranian foreign minister said
earlier today He said that uh the reason
the Israelis attacked went ahead and
attacked three days ago was because they
knew that a deal was near between the
Iranians and Americans What do you say
to that yeah good morning Faldi Um there
there's some truth to that Um and Israel
stated explicitly
um that the time has come and that there
there's an urgency because a very bad
deal is going to be struck between the
US and Iran Um and the timing was just a
few days ahead of the sixth round of a
talk which was scheduled for yesterday
in uh in Muscat in Oman Um but I don't
think the Israeli attack was just meant
to foil that because look on Thursday uh
12 hours before the Israeli attack uh
President Trump urged Israel publicly to
refrain from attacking and yet Israel
defied him Whether he knew about the
attack prized or consented I don't know
Time will tell So foiling the talks I
think from an Israeli point of view was
a bonus but it was not from the way
Israel sees it Okay So where does Israel
see the these attacks today that we're
seeing on Iran on on the Iranian energy
infrastructure what is Prime Minister
Netanyahu's political objective today is
it deterrence is it degradation of of
Iran's capabilities or is it regime
change in Thran well it's a very good
question because A he he never stated
his objectives be I doubt that he does
have strategic political objectives
other than degrade as you correctly
pointed out folly uh Iran's capabilities
but you know if the idea is to uh um
eliminate neutralize or significantly
degrade Iran's nuclear capabilities you
don't need to attack oil terminals or
gas fields in bandas you uh there are
other ways of doing that right um and I
think it is clear folly that Israel
cannot independently take out Iran's
entire nuclear infrastructure I was
going to say that in fact I mean because
everyone seems to agree that taking out
the entire Iranian nuclear program is
practically in impossible So if that's
the case I mean what is what would be
the attainable political endgame for
Israel in this conflict
well you know from Mr Netanyahu's point
of view uh an attainable goal would be
to drag the US into this conflict
militarily and actively uh because
that's the only way he can uh or the
only way the Iranian military nuclear
program and infrastructure can be
hypothetically eliminated But everyone
is talking and you yourself mentioned uh
the possibility of a regime change Now
regime change cannot be affected uh via
air power That's never happened That's
not going to happen Now for a regime
change you need two things to happen
Either the US occupies Iran Well they
had a very bad experience with Iraq so
they won't do that And secondly
hypothetically again that the Iranians
uh the Iranian population will rise and
and and take and and you know and remove
or dethrone the uh but so far we're not
seeing that On the contrary we seem to
be seeing a rallying of the flag around
the flag in Iran I mean let let me just
ask you because we're running out of
time Let me just ask you about what you
said earlier about Prime Minister
Netanyahu signaling the expectation of
US backing that the US would will get
involved at some point but right now
we're not seeing that from the Trump
administration If Washington um
continues to withhold deeper military
involvement in this conflict what are
Netanyahu's
then next political or or military
options
um if the US gets involved and Netanyahu
is out of the game uh as an active
political player because then it's up to
the US and the scope scale and extent of
their military activity I don't see that
happening as you as I think you're
rightly uh u just pointed to um but then
again we're talking about Donald Trump I
mean he says one thing in the morning
another thing in the evening and then
the next day he moves on to Ukraine
right um within the span of 12 hours he
said I had nothing to do with it Then he
said it was an excellent attack More
will be coming And then he said we need
to end the war So you know if you can
figure out what he means uh um I'd be
I'd be indebted to you I don't Let me
just ask you Mr Pinkas before we let you
go uh about the mood within Israel given
the unprecedented scale of Iranian
attacks we've seen on Israeli soil is
Israeli society today unified
uh behind it its government's latest
military campaign first there was Gaza
then there was Israel and now there's
Iran Is there unity behind this
yes there is Uh um but that you can
attribute that to the fact that it was
uh sort of a correct a correction uh
given the calamity of October 7th 2023
Now Israelis feel empowered emboldened
proud and and they gloat over the uh you
know the military the technological and
the intelligence successes and there
have been um in the attack on Iran So
people feel good about that um expecting
the population as as a general
collective to uh um you know to
intellectualize the uh where is this
headed and what is the the exit strategy
and what is the political end is
obviously uh uh futile but but there's
another element that needs to be uh um
integrated into this Yes the attack the
Iranian attacks uh the Iranian missile
barges on Israel were were uh um serious
but given what people expected might
happen and I'm not saying it won't I
hope it won't but I'm not saying it
cannot happen given given what people
were indoctrinated and educated to think
that could come from Iran it's been um
um you know tolerable Okay I know it's a
bad word to use right uh there has been
devastation and and ruin and people died
but given what people thought would
happen thousands of ballistic missiles
raining on Israel that hasn't happened
yet Thank you so much for speaking to us
about this Thank you uh for for bringing
us a view there from uh Israel Alan
Pinkis a former Israeli Israeli diplomat
joining us there from Tel Aviv

Israel strikes Iran
Netanyahu's going to go. Ha ha ha ha!
Checkmate, America. Now you're my bitch again.
Now you fight my wars, and they'll probably even withdraw and say,
America, you do our dirty work for us.
Spend a couple of trillion like you did in Iraq.
And and tens of thousands of Americans get killed or wounded.
Who cares?
Israel needs you to do something for us. Hurry up and do it.
Okay.
And American media will be like, oh, they are the victims.
They are the victims. They're doing self-defense.
Now we have to help them with their defense.
What do you mean, defense? What is defense?
No, it's nothing but offense.
With allies like this, you don't need enemies.
Overnight, Israel carried out a major attack inside Iran aimed at crippling
its nuclear program and preventing Iran from building a nuclear bomb.
So alone.
Multiple waves of strikes throughout the night across multiple cities,
hitting nuclear enrichment facilities and ballistic missile centers.
Multiple residential buildings engulfed in flames in Iran's capital.
When enemies build weapons of mass death, stop them.
This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat.
I'm assuming that does not count for America and Israel,
which also have weapons of mass death, but just for Iran in any event.
We are all now, whether we like it or not.
And I think most people watching this probably won't a whole lot closer
to all out war in the Middle East,
thanks to Israel launching its massive preemptive attack on Iran,
what we would call if it were any other country, the initiation of a war.
If it's the United States and Israel, you can just do this sort of thing.
And it's it's just a strategy. It's just cool.
Everybody quiet down about it. But, it is big.
Objectively, Iran has not been hit like this since the 1980s.
There have been more limited strikes inside of Iranian territory,
earlier this year from Israel.
But this really does stand out. And bear in mind,
it happened right before what was supposed to be hopefully fruitful
conversations between the United
States and around this weekend to try to establish some sort of Nuclear
deal between our two countries,
that deal being necessary because Donald Trump tore up
the previous deal in his first term because he had not negotiated it,
thus necessitating a new one, and also raising fears about the possibility that
they could be developing nuclear weapons.
Bear in mind we didn't have inspectors on the ground because Donald Trump
destroyed the previous deal.
But this operation, which they're calling Rising Lion,
very cool, very low notes, very cool.
It involved heavy airstrikes against some of Iran's main uranium enrichment sites,
strikes inside of the capital, as well as in other cities.
They were designed to take out the military leadership, and they
were quite successful in doing that.
In total, over 100 targets were hit, more than 200 jets were used, as well as
drones and precision weapons that had been smuggled into Iran and had been stored
there by the Israeli spy agency Mossad,
indicating that they apparently have a quite robust operation
Iranian leaders & nuclear scientists killed
inside of Iranian territory.
And it does appear that there's been some success,
although not, not necessarily exactly what might have been hoped from this attack.
The command center and centrifuges at one of Iran's main uranium enrichment sites,
that's Natanz, are likely to have been destroyed.
They didn't hit the most likely repository of the closest to bomb grade
nuclear fuel that Iran possesses.
But in addition to infrastructure which was destroyed,
there were also Iranian leaders.
So you have the the literal head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards at
the top military official inside of Iran was killed last night.
The chief of staff of Iran's armed forces, a major aide to the ayatollah,
as well as the person who was in charge of the nuclear negotiations
with the United States,
will not be participating this weekend because he was killed and the commander
of the Irgc's Air Force as well,
in addition to the the military and I guess aides that were killed,
there were also dozens of civilians.
Of course, these are widespread airstrikes.
Hundreds of others were injured.
Multiple nuclear scientists were killed. You see, two, right there.
A spokesperson for the IDF is claiming that at least nine
nuclear scientists were killed.
And, yeah.
So, look, there's a lot it's a developing situation.
Iran launched a very limited counterattack that, in the immediate aftermath of it,
that I don't believe any of the drones they launched
Media propaganda
actually made it through to Israel.
They have launched missiles more recently prior to us going live.
Some of those appear to have struck inside of Tel Aviv.
I believe there are reports of injuries, at least as of when we were going live.
I had not seen any confirmation of any fatalities as a result of that.
But it's a developing situation.
Benjamin Netanyahu has said that this is just the beginning.
They're going to continue.
And as you'll see, Trump is promising more of that as well.
But, Jake, lot going on. History being made.
Yeah. So let me start on media and propaganda.
And then I want to get to the most important part, which is
how Trump got suckered into this war.
Because he's an idiot. And I will explain.
And you will agree, whether you're left or right, it's super obvious.
So, first off, on the media, and look, we fall into this sometimes as well.
So, they attack their nuclear program.
They also attacked in the middle of Tehran, their capital city.
So the way the press is framing it as like I was a preventative, preemptive
attack on their nuclear program.
No, they dropped tons of bombs in the middle of Tehran, one of the most
crowded cities in the world.
Right.
But you haven't heard anything about their civilian deaths.
You haven't heard anything about any of that.
Because, of course, they're Iranians, not Israelis.
Their their lives don't matter.
So, but the minute, you know, Ron started attacking back like, oh my God, Andre.
He's in Tel Aviv. Injuries.
Injuries.
Oh, you have to go in there and help Israel fight this war instead of Israel.
That's what the propaganda is driving towards.
Okay, so John's right about the piece of propaganda of, oh, these weapons
of mass death cannot be allowed to happen.
Then you must attack a country, especially in the Middle East.
If they're going to develop nuclear weapons under that ideology,
we would have wiped out Israel.
Israel has nukes. They don't.
And by the way, part of this is not just about, oh,
we're so worried Iran's going to hit us.
I'm going to tell you why that's a ridiculous in a second.
No, it's that they don't want to lose leverage.
If anyone else has nukes in the Middle East, then Israel is constrained.
They don't want to be constrained.
They want to attack Syria. They want to attack Lebanon.
They want to keep Gaza in the West Bank.
They want to attack Iran, and they don't want to be constrained.
If anybody else is anywhere near parity, they might be slightly constrained
from setting up Greater Israel.
So later they will all pretend that Israel was the victims.
Not later. Just doing it today.
And they're going to do it from here until eternity.
Mainstream media is going to lie to you about how.
Oh my God. Poor, poor, poor, poor Israel.
What could they do? Now, this next slide.
They went after they were about to get a nuclear bomb.
You heard it in the first clip we played for you guys?
No, they weren't.
They were, at best, a couple of weeks away, which sounds really close
to enriching uranium for the first time at a level where it could be weaponized.
But if you wanted to actually put it on a bomb, that actually would have taken
at least another year.
How often have you heard that on TV?
That they were nowhere near being able to weaponize a bomb?
That they're not even close to it? Not within a year.
On TV, it looks like, oh.
My God, Iran was about to get a nuke and kill us all.
Oh thank God.
Preventative war for a preemptive war from Israel.
Oh, what a what a great thing.
Oh, don't worry about the Iranian civilians.
Iran struck back those goddamn terrorists.
Okay, so usual stuff.
Part of it is okay. Israel's the greatest.
And we have to give all of your money to Israel.
And you have to fight their wars for them.
But most of it is make sure America gets sucked into this war.
One last thing about the framing there.
Physicists were killed and their lead negotiator was killed,
and their top military leaders and politicians were killed.
Now, if Iran had struck first and had killed Israeli civilian scientists
and the top Israeli negotiator for peace and an Israeli politician
and their top three military commanders,
what would we call it?
- Everyone in the press would say. - Murdered.
Terrorists.
Oh, Israeli civilians were murdered by the terrorists.
Israel does it. Oh, they were just killed.
America gets dragged in
We're just going after they were about to get the bomb.
- What could poor Israel do? - So Israel's a massive aggressor.
They do not let the American media lie to you
and pretend starting tomorrow, because.
Oh, now Iran counterattacked.
So they'll show you tons of pictures on air about.
- Oh, Israel, Tel Aviv. - Oh. So, look.
Am I worried about civilians in Israel or Iran?
Yes.
I don't want any civilians dying in Israel.
But don't tell me that you're the victims.
Don't tell me that you're doing self-defense and drag America into it.
And right now, we're massively dragged into it.
So how?
Number one, we're now doing defense for Israel.
Defense.
So that means we pay a ton of money to bring our aircraft carriers
to bring our ships.
And now we're knocking down the Iranian missiles.
So we're we're already on day one right in the middle of the war.
And we find out today. Oh, oops.
It turns out that, that we gave them intelligence on the bombing.
So wait a minute.
So we're involved on the offense and the defense were right
in the middle of this war.
On day one.
It was so easy to get America in the middle of this war with Iran,
and they and Israel can't wait for an American service member to be killed.
They're going to set off fireworks, not in the Israeli civilians and citizens
and the scumbags who run, the terrorists who run their government.
Because the minute an American is killed.
And by the way, get a load of this Israel super protected
because we gave them Iron Dome.
So and we've got our aircraft carriers, we're shooting down everything.
But American troops in the Middle East don't have Iron Dome.
They're sitting ducks.
So the minute Iran hits a soft target, which is us,
then Netanyahu is going to go, ha ha!
Checkmate, America! Now you're my bitch again.
Iranian-American's perspective
Now you fight my wars and they'll probably even withdraw and say, America,
you do our dirty work for us, spend a couple of trillion like you did in Iraq.
And and tens of thousands of Americans get killed or wounded, who cares?
Israel needs you to do something for us. Hurry up and do it, okay?
And American media will be like, oh, they are the victims.
They are the victims. They're doing self-defense.
Now we have to help them with their defense.
What do you mean, defense? What is defense?
No, it's nothing but offense. Why?
So now get the hell out of there. And I got to get to Mars.
So I'll tell you in a minute how they tricked Trump into this.
- He's such a child, Mars. - Well, you're right on all fronts.
And, Netanyahu's been wanting to do this for years and years.
If you recall, before the the actual first nuclear deal, he was at the UN with that
Wiley coyote bomb and saying Iran is just a couple weeks away, we have to bomb Iran.
We have to bomb Iran.
And to your point, it seems like he played Donald Trump like an orange haired fiddle
to get him to do this,
because he supposedly had convinced Trump
that if he does this now, it will help
bring Iran to the negotiating table, which, by the way, Donald Trump, you saw.
He said, oh, I told them, make a deal in 60 days.
This is day 61. They should have made a deal.
You better make a deal now. You already had a deal.
And this new deal isn't that different from the previous deal.
And if we stuck with the previous deal, perhaps we'd have more knowledge
about what's going on inside Iran and inside their program.
Now, as an Iranian American in the diaspora, I could tell you that a
lot of Iranians don't like the government.
The government is an oppressive government, and it's maybe not even
a trustworthy government, but nobody wants to go to war and kill innocent people.
So when I see the the images and I reached out to some relatives
and just asking if they're okay,
one one friend of mine said that, he had been at the airport and there
was a lot of chaos, but he was fine.
But we don't know the numbers. To your point.
We don't know the numbers.
And as an Iranian-American, again, it has been exhausting.
It's exhausting to be Iranian in this world because the people of Iran
are really good people and the government of Iran is oppressive.
But then you get caught up in the middle of this where Bibi is playing Trump,
and Trump is going along, and we're about to start World War three in that region.
And so, you know, what can we do? I don't know, I don't know.
And I think a big part of this was also, Bibi had been seeing that,
the continuing killing of Gazans was definitely in the world was getting,
more, more people were knowing about it and
and it was and it was another distraction to go, let me go after these guys.
And to your point, they've got the backing of America.
And I don't know, the thing that I always am perplexed by is these world leaders,
when they do these types of things, they it seems like they
never think about what's the day after.
Because if you were to go and bomb Iran and bomb Iran and bomb Iran,
what's the day after?
What's going to happen?
Are you going to find a way to cause a regime change and create
a democratic Iran by bombing them.
Is that what your strategy is? What is your strategy?
So I don't see any strategy there except chaos.
And, it's very worrisome for all the civilians that are going
to be harmed in, in such a war.
By the way, really fast.
So apparently the UN ambassador from Iran says 78 were killed,
320 were wounded in Iran.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So. But they're civilians don't count. They're Muslim.
So it's okay.
And so, but the poor Israelis, so I got to build on two things that Ma said.
So number one, look, a lot of governments
are terrible in this world, right?
Ranging from bad to despotic. Right.
So are any of us in favor of the Iranian regime?
No, no, I it's not a democracy.
It's supreme leader, Ayatollah fundamentalist, no interest in it.
They oppress their own people, etc..
Cheered on the protests that tried to overthrow it just a couple of years ago.
Oh, absolutely. We love that.
If it's organic coming from the Iranian people.
Right.
So does that mean we should go to war with them?
I mean, this is the same thing that they used in Iraq.
Oh, Saddam Hussein's a bad guy, but Saddam Hussein was not a threat to America.
Where do we get the intelligence that they had?
Weapons of mass destruction.
I hope you're sitting. We got it from Israel.
And when they say, oh, no, no, Israel's a really big ally.
And I always ask how all they ever do is get us into wars.
They get us into trouble, get us killed, get the whole Muslim world to hate us.
How are they an ally? They say, oh, they give us intelligence.
Yeah.
Fake intelligence so that we can fight their wars for them.
So they're the.
With allies like this, you don't need enemies.
Israel will create endless enemies for us. And they're doing it again here.
So, for example, I don't like the current leader of Turkey
and the and the government right now.
I think that he's, taking away democracy. I think it's terrible.
And a lot of Turks agree with me.
Do you think the Turks would then be happy if Turkey was bombed by Israel?
What kind of lunatic would say something that stupid?
No. All the Turks would be so mad they would all rally around Erdogan,
which would make him much, much stronger, not weaker.
And the idea that Turks or Persians or anyone would be like,
oh, you've bombed us now.
Now we love you so much. Thank you for killing us.
This is the stupid neocon philosophy that is so childish, so obviously wrong.
It's like they're not even trying hard. And all of the American media.
Oh, yeah. It could be.
Could be. And then now we turn to Trump.
And so Mars is right. Look, I'll do graphics for the next story.
We're going to talk more about how the US is getting sucked into this.
Watch the show live 6 to 8:00 every day.
So but in his long screed, Trump when he's pretending in the next story.
We'll tell you about why he's pretending that he was in on it all along.
He says, as long as they think there's an agreement, I don't want
them going in referring to Israel.
Okay.
Because I think that would blow. It might help it, actually.
But also could blow it. Now, that was before the strike.
So he's told and this is now verified in 18 different ways.
Wall Street Journal saying he told Israel not to bomb them.
Right.
And then but the Israelis got in his ear and they're like,
oh, no, no, you know what?
I know you want peace, Don. And we all want peace.
But like, you know what, though, if we bomb them first,
that might bring them to the table better.
Now, any child would know that. That's preposterous.
You bomb a country, they're not going to likely to come to the table more.
In fact, they can't come to the table. You murdered their lead negotiator, right?
And you bombed their capital. You killed all those civilians.
You injured all those people that John just told you about,
and you killed their top military officials and their politicians.
Are they more or less likely to come?
Of course, they're less likely to come to the table
right after you bomb their capital.
Imagine if they bomb Iran, bomb Washington, D.C.
Do you think that would make us more likely to negotiate with them
and give them what they want?
Nobody thinks that other than morons like Donald Trump.
We're like, okay, you might be right, Netanyahu.
And then you're going to walk right into the middle of the war.
And he did. He's an idiot.
What this means for Iran's nuclear program
I think, look, I racism ruins everything.
That is that is an insane thing to believe that they would come to negotiate
when you bomb them.
Unless you think, well, I'm I'm a good white person.
We're logical. Reasonable.
We use common sense.
They're crazy. God only knows what they'll do.
Like, if you don't think that the vast majority of the people on Earth
are fully conscious, sentient creatures, then you could.
You can think whatever the hell you want of them, and you can convince your base
to think whatever you want of them.
But on the topic of the negotiations, we should talk more about that,
because Iran has, perhaps not surprisingly, canceled this weekend's
negotiations on the nuclear deal.
And, you know, their lead negotiator is dead.
So that was probably obvious.
And a lot of people are wondering, well, look, the goal of these attacks
were to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, which we're assured
they were on the precipice of getting.
But, you know, if they thought they needed a nuclear weapon as a deterrent, this kind
of seems like confirmation of that.
Like maybe they needed even more.
And so there's concern that this could drive them to do anything
they need to to get the weapon.
And we have a little bit on that topic from the BBC's security correspondent,
Frank Gardner.
There's no guarantee that this is going to be the silver bullet
that Israel is hoping for.
And there is a fear now that not only is Iran going to continue its retaliation,
and who knows where that's going to end?
Is it just going to be against Israel, or are they going to extend it
to Gulf Arab countries?
Where will this end?
But most importantly, the hawks within Iran's establishment are
now going to be saying, we told you so.
We were right. They were going to attack us.
The best deterrent to stop further attacks like this from Israel is go for the bomb.
I mean, just think about over the course of the last year, the helicopter, the the
drone attacks from Israel, now the bombing semi-regularly, Israel attacks Iran.
And from their perspective, it's totally justified.
But from the Iranian point of view, they desperately need a deterrent.
And clearly, whatever conventional weapons they have, their military, their ballistic
missiles, their drones, all of that, that clearly does not deter an attack.
So if that doesn't do it, what would?
Weapons of mass destruction is the answer that a lot of people
will provide to that question.
And obviously I don't want them to have that, but I think it's going
to be a lot easier to make that case when you're constantly being attacked.
Yeah.
So one more thing about this absurdity about if we bomb them and we start
murdering their leaders, they'll be more likely to negotiate under that logic.
Wouldn't that say that?
Well, Hamas was right to do October 7th because that would make Israel
more likely to negotiate.
You see how dumb that logic is? You would never apply it to Israel, right?
Oh, well, it's a good thing Israel was attacked because then they're
more likely to get to a peace deal.
No person in America would dare say that sentence,
but they say it about the Iranians.
They say it about the Iraqis. Oh, yeah, they like being murdered.
So that's more likely to bring them to the negotiation table, said morons
who repeat obvious Israeli propaganda.
And last thing for me on this is they always frame it
as they're about to get a nuke.
Jack Callahan, one of our members, wrote in and said, yeah, they're about to
get a nuke for the last 41 years, right?
If you listen to Netanyahu, who runs a nuke, you better attack Iran.
I don't like Iran.
They're a slight challenge to me. Maybe they could be a problem.
So just murder them, kill them, kill them, kill them, attack them, attack them.
So what happened? 41 straight years?
You were lying for the entire goddamn time.
They were lying.
Now, as I told you, they were at least a year away.
But that's not the main point. The main point isn't.
Oh, should we attack them and start a giant war in the Middle East
or Iran gets nukes?
No. Or you do a peace treaty where you take their uranium out of the country
and they can't develop military grade uranium, and you get a peace deal.
That is the correct answer. That was the answer that Obama gave.
That was the answer Trump was going towards.
And by the way, we almost had it.
And and Trump there was reports that Trump had made a deal,
but then Israel came in and said, oh,
you're letting him enrich a tiny amount of uranium that doesn't get anywhere
near like it's such a giant difference.
Guys, I know it sounds like, well, uranium is uranium.
It's not tons of enriched uranium to a point where they could use it for energy,
and it cannot be then militarized.
Right.
And the deal would have made sure that it technically and could not be militarized.
Right.
So we we had that deal and Israel came in and said, I blocked that deal.
Donald Trump, you're not allowed to make that deal.
They're not allowed to have any uranium because they knew
that Iran would not accept that.
Why are they the only ones that are not allowed to have nuclear energy?
So since Iran, Israel that Iran wouldn't accept it, they're like good.
So then then we'll get to attack them and then we'll make America pay for it.
And don't get any mistakes here.
We will foot almost the entire bill for this war.
It's and when it goes to Congress, all the bought, Corrupt politicians will
say, oh well, we have to help our beloved special ally Israel defend itself.
Years old Americans say, hey, you work your ass off.
You work two jobs. Okay.
Half of one of those jobs is going to go to Israel, to kill more Iranians,
to kill more Palestinians, to invade more countries.
Don't you dare try to put food on the table for your family here in America.
No! Give me that money.
Give me that money! It's going to Israel.
It's going to their wars. That's a fact.
You can catch feelings over it in either direction.
But as a stone cold fact, how many more hundreds of billions of dollars
is Israel going to take from us to start more aggressive wars in the Middle East?
All right, Maz, last word on this.
You know, it's, they literally blew up the nuclear deal.
They literally blew it up. They killed the negotiator.
They killed other people that were involved.
And going back to Netanyahu, Netanyahu was trying to convince Trump
to not do the nuclear deal.
So you got to imagine Netanyahu or somebody within his inner circle
was saying, hey, you know what?
Since we can play Trump like a pawn, let's convince him that doing this bombing
is going to help that negotiation.
Because famously, Trump keeps saying that he's a peaceful.
He doesn't want war, he doesn't want war, he doesn't want war.
And here we are.
We're in war now. We are in the war.
And it is just it's so amazing
how small brained Trump is to fall for this because a strong a strong Trump.
If he were strong, he would have told Bibi, no, do not attack.
I'm about to make this deal and that will make the world a safer place.
And we will have an ability to go in and observe their nuclear program.
And as you said, bring the weaponization out and they can
have nuclear energy, but they won't have a weaponized nuclear program.
And so that's what a strong leader would have done.
But on the other hand, we've got Trump in office
and he's just, you know, went along.
Here we go. And perhaps he'll do what?
Like, if you recall, with Russia and Ukraine,
he said, I'll have it solved on day one.
And here we are several months later, and he's kind of put his hands in the air
and been like, let him just figure it out.
And so similarly in this, in this situation, Jenk as you were saying, we're
just going to keep funding Israel and Trump's going to say, oh, let them just
let them just do whatever they got to do.
And we'll see where this leads and where this unfortunately,
if you look at history, where this will lead is to hundreds
of thousands of innocent Iranians dying,
probably several thousand Israelis, several thousand, possibly
several thousand American soldiers.
And it's it's going to be a repeat of Iraq or Afghanistan.
I mean, that's what it feels like right now.
And, and so, once again, Donald Trump was played by Bibi Netanyahu.
Yeah, super weak on his part.
And even a lot of MAGA is saying that every time you ring the bell below,
an angel gets its wings.
Totally not true.
But it does keep you updated on our live shows.

Odd odd odd odd. Migdalim.
At. The time.
I had not seen that compilation until this very moment,
and I'm going to toss it over to you so I can calm down for a second and not
say things that I might regret later.
Go ahead.
Yeah, that's. I mean, I don't even know what to say,
when it comes to that because,
you know, like, I think about somebody like Henry Kissinger dying and like,
most people just being like, yeah, I don't really care that he died,
you know, rest in peace or whatever, and, like, kind of move on, you know?
But like, nobody's like, no. I wish he was in a torture chamber.
And they removed his fingernails one by one.
No, no, no. Like.
Listen, we're talking about the guy behind the carpet bombing.
No, no, no.
- People ever. - Yeah, f Henry Kissinger.
I don't care about anyone celebrating the fact that he passed away.
We're.
We just showed you a compilation of Israelis calling for and celebrating
the slaughter of innocent civilians.
That's innocent.
And that's what I'm saying. Like, I didn't see that here.
Or, you know, maybe there were people in Cambodia who did it.
I don't know.
But to be like, yo, this guy was genuinely evil.
Did a bunch of evil things, like, all right, like to take that tact against
just civilians, just regular people who.
Yeah, they made the mistake of wanting to stay on their land.
That's that's the offense that they've done to you.
They're not soldiers in any army.
They're not part they they're not even part of the actual resistance outside
of the fact that they haven't ceded the entirety of the land to you guys.
By just walking away like that.
That's what this guy these people are pissed about, like that.
These people are reminding them every day that Israel wasn't some empty place
that they came to.
That there were people here, that they had lives here, you know,
and that you know, that they should be dealt with as human beings.
Like, that's what I when I see that it's just like a bunch of people
confronting their own conscience.
It's just like, bro, like, obviously y'all
know what y'all doing is insanely evil.
I don't know if they know. I don't know if they.
- Have to know. - Well, okay.
Well, you just gotta you just got a little taste of, you know, the brutal honesty
of how Israelis feel on Israeli media.
So the idea that media coverage
is adequately deferential to Gazans according to a shocking percentage
of Israeli citizens and they see no need for it to change, is insane to me.
They're they they see that and they're like, no, no, no,
this is this is this is fair coverage of what Gazans are dealing with.
Okay.
So this is according to a new poll that was conducted by the Accord Center
of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
It was conducted during the last week in May, using a representative sample
of 1112 Israelis.
And here's what they found.
According to the survey, 64% of Israelis believe that the local media is
reporting on Gaza has been balanced,
and there is no need to present a broader picture
regarding the situation of Gaza civilians.
Now, look, if I knew my government were committing all these terrible atrocities
and slaughtering children, and my military is increasingly thought of as a terrorist
organization in the global world.
I probably wouldn't want to see those atrocities for myself.
I'd probably want to be in the dark. You know, ignorance is bliss.
But they should understand why the international community
has soured on Israel.
It's not because they hate Jews.
It's not because they have antisemitism and malice in their hearts.
It's because they're seeing the slaughter of innocent people,
most of whom are women and children.
Among respondents who voted for parties in the current governing coalition, 89%,
this is unsurprising supported that view,
while only 44% of respondents who voted for parties in the opposition
shared it. 56% of the latter group said that a broader picture should be provided.
So it really depends on your party affiliation.
I guess when it comes to your views on how the media is covering Gaza,
their views of the Israeli media were though shocking as well. 41% of the
respondents said that the news on Israel's two mainstream commercial stations,
channels 12 and 13, are biased in favor
of the population of Gaza, while 37% said
that reporting on the subject was balanced
in, 21% said it was biased against Gazans.
All right.
Well, 21% of you know, those civilians in Israel.
Population like 20%, Arab, Israeli.
This is why I speak out when I speak out
against propagandists like Emily Schrader.
Raider.
You know, who's like, doing a media tour to drum up support for a war in Iran.
When I call out the atrocities carried out by the IDF,
like Israelis can't believe it.
They're like, oh, how dare you! This is libel.
Okay, no, it's not though.
I'm literally telling you things that have been proven that have been reported.
People still think, oh no, it's not the IDF that's shooting at Palestinians
as they're desperately trying to get humanitarian aid from one of these Israeli
and US backed humanitarian aid hubs.
It's Hamas.
Except CNN's investigation shows that those bullets
were consistent with Israeli weapons.
After that investigation came out, the IDF is like, yeah, yeah,
we were firing warning shots.
That's what it was. Yeah.
Kind of kill over 200 Palestinians as they're desperately trying
to get food for their children.
Come on man.
So look, I accept because I myself have experienced this
where I'm in the dark about something.
I'm in a media bubble and my views on something, my perspective on something
that's happening in the country or around the world isn't quite right.
That's why I don't think it's ever okay
to be hateful towards civilians, or think it's okay to have, you know,
military attack civilians because we disagree with their views.
A lot of Americans had crappy views after nine over 11. Okay.
So with that, but with that in mind, I mean, intentionally keeping yourself
in the dark in regard to the atrocities committed by your own military
and your own government that's on you.
That means, you know, you suspect that these types
of atrocities are taking place.
You don't want to hear about it.
You don't want any accountability for it. You don't want to hear about it.
I mean, it's basically complicity.
So the plurality, plurality of Israelis think those channels
are too pro-Palestinian,
despite the fact that a separate earlier study found an almost total absence
of coverage of civilian deaths in Gaza in Channel 12 reporting
during the first six months of the war,
and in the poll, channel 14, which is considered to be the most
supportive of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Well, what's going on over there?
Well, they were perceived by 39% of the respondents as presenting
balanced reporting on Gaza. 56% of those polled said channel 14 was
biased against the Gazan population,
and 5% said that it was biased in favor of the Gazans.
Imagine thinking that that channel is in favor of Gazans,
but 5% say that 56% no say no.
It's actually biased against, Gazans.
So. Yeah, I think it's it's not
in, you know, crazy to say that Israeli citizens
are also victims of the occupation, man.
The level of resentment and just pure hatred that they've developed
for the civilian population of Gaza.
I don't think you get to that without an occupation.
And the results that flow out of occupation, just the realities
that flow out of it where, you know, you do have resistance groups
and sometimes those groups are violent.
Never as violent as the last 20 months have been
on the part of the IDF, it must be said.
But, you know, there's been violence and atrocities committed on that side.
And it's because, you know, the the Israeli regime is constantly
decided that the policy has to be,
you know, crushing any hope for these guys to these guys and gals over there
to have full citizenship.
And another thing you know, that I think
is long term is tough for the Israelis.
Like there's no coming back in terms of public perception.
I think especially when the state was first founded, there's this idea that it's
got this left wing characteristic right, like that, the, you know, like the, the,
the kibbutz is like sort of semi socialist and, you know,
like there was like a, a union element to,
the, the founding of some of these political parties and all of that.
There was this, this idea of the plucky Israelis and like, you know, like there's
this is such a, like a progressive, whatever type of thing.
Like, which was.
Is it gay marriage still legal in Israel?
Like, I don't even know.
Which is ridiculous, but also too, back in those days, Hannah Israel was way more
secular in its culture and as a society.
And as time goes on, it gets way less and less secular.
I mean, the concept that it's like some liberal, progressive place,
I think that's also going out the window.
And so all of these things that especially liberal Zionists would use to like pull
the veil over their own eyes about the country and the reality which is like,
yo, these are some right wing, repressive ass,
you know, authoritarian ass people, bro.
And you know, the settlers, these are just foaming at the mouth
of maniacs, coltish individuals.
And so, yeah, that's what it is.
And I think the world is seeing it for what it is.
Finally.
And this is just the beginning, in my opinion.
It's only they're only going to become more and more of a pariah as they pursue
what is going to be ethnic cleansing and genocide in their pursuit to get,
you know, all million and a half of these people
out of what they call Greater Israel.
Yeah.
Can't say I disagree.
I think that they're on a mission to do that.
They are going to do that, and they're going to turn more
and more people against them.
Every time you ring the bell below, an angel gets his wings.
Totally not true.
But it does keep you updated on our live shows.

humanitarian foundation even confirmed it was people disgust me they confirmed it was the only
person intentionally lying and blaming the IDF the IDF is the one who is
assuring that there's humanitarian aid there are 11 million meals that have
been distributed already 11 million i had a pretty uneventful morning uh went on Piers Morgan's show today and um
Emily Schrader who I believe is a propagandist on behalf of the Israeli government uh triggered me i have no
problem admitting that because at this point after now more than a year and a half of watching Palestinian civilians
get bombed to death starve to death shelled to death
i literally cannot handle hearing another Israel defender lie to my face
about what's really going on emily Schrader falls in that category of uh Israeli propagandists liars who uh
provide cover for atrocities who provide cover for ethnic cleansing who provide cover for genocide and so yeah I got a
little heated to say the least so she's allegedly a journalist earlier in the
debate she got challenged on um the definition of a ceasefire let's take a quick look at that it is Hamas that has
rejected repeated ceasefires a pause in fighting a pause in fighting is not a ceasefire a pause in fighting is not a
ceasefire i'm so sick of the rebranding of a ceasefire a two-month pause in war
is not a ceasefire period end of story go ahead Omar then Hamas is welcome
hamas is welcome to release all of the hostages i said you release all of the hostages about it this idea that you
release the hostages will continue their genocide is unacceptable
unacceptable but anyway continue you know what else is unacceptable the fact that there are more than 50 hostages being held by more than 600 days i I I
fully stand by my statement regarding Emily Schrader being a vile individual
it is atrocious that uh you still have Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip uh
that those hostages haven't been released they should be released but let's just talk about this notion of a
ceasefire that only lasts long enough for Hamas to release the hostages and
then Israel gets to continue the atrocities they've been carrying out in the Gaza Strip and and also by the way
the West Bank let's not forget about the West Bank uh which was not governed by Hamas uh which has been dealing with the
occupation of the Israelis um and has dealt with settlers coming in driving
Palestinians out of their legal homes you guys get the picture i've talked about this a billion times before
hamas has agreed to give up governing the Gaza Strip they have agreed to
releasing the remainder of the hostages all they want is a permanent ceasefire
but Israel doesn't want a permanent ceasefire israel wants to steal that land they want to push out every single
Palestinian that survived this war and uh take over they want to build
settlements they announced they're going to be building two illegal settlements in the West Bank they want the land this
is the Greater Israel Project folks i mean they tell you what they want to do
on one hand you have the Israeli government straight up telling you what they intend to do and then for whatever reason clowns like Emily Schrader go on
various American news programs to tell us that we didn't just hear what the
Israeli government told us and we're not seeing what our own eyes are seeing in the Gaza Strip in the West Bank
a ceasefire means the war ends israel doesn't want the war to end
and eventually when they do get what they want because I think every indication
tells me that they're going to get what they want they're going to take over Gaza they're going to take over the West Bank they've tried to annex parts of
Lebanon that didn't work i wouldn't be surprised if they try to do that in the future they have annexed parts of Syria
already greater Israel Project we all know what this is i mean anyone who's paying attention knows what this is but
Emily Schrader thinks I'm an idiot emily Schrader thinks it's fun to insult my
intelligence i don't appreciate having my intelligence insulted okay because um I
don't fall for propagandists and scummy individuals like Emily Schrader there's more so Shrader also got challenged on a
talking point that she made um about a year earlier she was on Pierce Morgan's show with Abby Martin who's excellent on
this topic on this issue and uh she made a declaration about what Israel intends
to do and what they will not do and she was wrong about that so I challenged her let's take a look you were on this very
show a year ago debating Abby Martin and you said you fancy yourself a journalist during that debate you said that Israel
has no interest in occupying Gaza israel is now very obviously and overtly
claiming they intend to occupy Gaza can you now admit to the world that you are
incorrect no the situation on the ground changes and beyond that this could have been
avoided in the first place you're vile person she's a vile person uh straight
up like the inability first of all the initial lie let's just call that for
what it was it was a lie and then the inability to acknowledge reality
okay I knew everyone who's paying attention knew that Israel intended to
ethnically cleanse Gaza and occupy the Gaza i mean just take over the Gaza Strip everyone knew everyone who's
paying attention who's honest about what they're reading what they're seeing they knew abby Martin brings it up calls her
out on it and she says "No Israel has no interest in occupying Gaza." And then
when she gets called out on it called out on that lie a year later unable to take responsibility that's a journalist
that's a journalist it's incredible total and utter clown
so another pro-Israel voice on the panel was uh Shabos Kenbal and look I disagree
with Shabos entirely he seems less losome
than Emily Schrader he tried to have a calm conversation i was too heated and I
regret that because I could have had an exchange with him that wasn't as heated
as it was he was trying to lower the temperature and make the arguments he was making i disagree with his arguments
so I want to just kind of get that out of the way with that in mind at one point he stated that everyone who cares
about Palestinians should be supporting the newly implemented Gaza Humanitarian Foundation or fund and uh here's what
happened next idf soldiers are intentionally shooting at and killing
desperate Palestinians as they're trying to get humanitarian aid from this Israeli backed organization which of
course uh is able to even exist because they defamed UNRA they starved Palestinians for months shut up they
starve Palestinians for months and then as the Palestinians are desperate for food they lure them in with this Gaza
humanitarian foundation and shoot at them upward of 200 people since late May have been shot at and killed by Israeli
soldiers and that's true you know there was also I I mentioned this in the
context of this Pierce Morgan debate i mentioned uh the slaughter of
journalists in the Gaza Strip 232 and that's not according to the you know
Palestinian health ministry or anything like that that's according to an analysis done by the costs of war
project at Brown University 232 journalists killed they're not allowing
international journalists to enter the Gaza Strip likely because Israel thinks that they can maybe hide their
atrocities from the international community we've been able to see what's been going on on the in the Gaza Strip
from the very beginning though and this is why the international community went from having quite a bit of goodwill
toward the Israelis to now wanting to prosecute them uh the
members of the Israeli government in the International Criminal Court
you can't on one hand and this is very important for any Israeli defenders out there this is very important
you cannot make a succinct argument about Hamas carrying out atrocities
when the IDF is doing the same thing and you think it's okay
because if you say it's okay when it's being done to Palestinians you are providing justification for Hamas doing
it to Israelis because guess what humans are humans civilians are civilians and they must be
protected when you come out here and you make clear that you're supportive of civilians on one side but you think of
civilians as utter animals that should be slaughtered on the other side you lose the the argument you lose the international community it's that simple
and that's the thing that disgusted me about this whole situation what what disgusts me about people like Emily Schrader
the lack of humanity the lack of being able to look at Palestinian children and
be disgusted with what the IDF is doing right now i don't understand i literally
don't understand it it It boggles my mind absolutely boggles my mind we'll end with one more clip i want to thank
Pierce Morgan for giving me the last word on the panel and I did switch topics a little bit it's related
But it's a little bit of a different topic important for everyone to know about let's take a look i just want to mention quickly that uh Emily is one of
these Israelis who's going around doing propaganda tours on uh manufacturing consent for the United States to go to
war with Iran on behalf of Israel we can't make the same mistake that we did in Iraq we should not go to war in Iran
on behalf of Israel if Israel wants to go to war with Iran they should do it themselves without our military support
and that includes taxpayer dollars go do it on your own go ahead and enlist baby girl go do your thing but leave America
out of it our men and women in our armed forces shouldn't die on behalf of your country period i don't really understand
what her argument was there when she's like "Iran isn't an Arab country i
didn't say it was an Arab country." And what what is that argument the US should not go to war with Iran on
behalf of Israel now Israel has bought our politician so who knows what the
Trump administration is going to decide to do it will be a disastrous war it will be a deeply deeply unpopular war
that will define Donald Trump's legacy i mean the one thing he cares about the
most is himself so hopefully he's smart enough to understand what a what an error that would be for his legacy but I
don't really have much hope with any politician much less uh Donald Trump at this point so we'll see what
happens but I want to be clear for anyone who thinks my behavior and my
conduct on Piers Morgan's show today was unprofessional and unbecoming
you are correct and I am not sorry i would do it again idf soldiers are
intentionally shooting at and killing desperate Palestinians as they're trying to get humanitarian aid from this
Israeli backed organization which of course uh is able to even exist because
they defamed UNRA they starved Palestinians for month shut up they
starve Palestinians for months and then as the Palestinians are desperate for food they lure them in with this Gaza
Humanitarian Foundation and shoot at them upward of 200 people since late May have been shot at and killed by Israeli
soldiers i was right and uh unfortunately this
continues because another 36 people have been shot at and killed by the Israeli
Defense Forces as they were desperately seeking humanitarian aid from a US and
Israelbacked Gaza Humanitarian Foundation hub so uh 27 more people by
the way were injured um as a result of these shootings and that's according to the Associated Press so just yesterday
there were upward of 200 Palestinians who had been killed in similar circumstances obviously that death toll
is now growing and um it's unlikely to stop because Palestinians are in one of
the worst situations imaginable in Gaza they've been starved for months they're desperate to feed their families they're
desperate to feed themselves and so they will risk their lives knowing there's a
huge possibility that IDF soldiers are going to shoot at them as they're trying to get humanitarian aid from one of
these hubs so when I call someone like Emily Schrader disgusting repeatedly for
denying this reality um I do so because I feel it's righteous to do so lying to
us about what's really going on um isn't okay but what's obviously even worse is
the fact that she's providing cover for these heinous acts carried out by the IDF now the Israeli military has
acknowledged by the way the Israeli military has acknowledged firing
so-called warning shots on previous occasions at people who it says
approached its forces in a suspicious manner the foundation says there has been no violence in or around the
distribution points themselves but it has warned people to stay on designated
access routes that there's a lot of admission happening in what I just read to you okay first of all um the military
acknowledging that they're actually firing the shots is huge because previously they were denying it but
there was a CNN investigation where they analyzed the shots fired and found that those shots were consistent with the
IDF's weaponry once that investigation came out it's like "Oh yeah um we were
just shooting warning shots." You know the kind of warning shots that kill people okay yeah nice uh I'm glad you
guys are finally admitting to your crimes now um although they're using warning shots without actually telling
the truth which was we intentionally shot at and killed desperate Palestinians as they were getting humanitarian aid um and then the final
thing if there's no violence being carried out by anyone at these hubs why are they being shot at what are the
warning shots for can someone explain that to me i mean I think the explanation is
actually pretty obvious which is they just want to kill these people and
they've been carrying out acts that make it clear to me that they just want to kill these people and whoever remains uh
they're going to try to you know uh get out of the Gaza Strip or uh constrain to
or confined to a very very tiny tiny section until uh it's so miserable that
they'll want to leave the Gaza Strip but was I mean this has been going on i feel
like there's no interest in any justice for the Palestinians who have been dealing with the barbaric acts of the
Israeli government and the IDF and it's just disgusting and hopeless it feels super hopeless in northern Gaza two men
and a child were killed and at least 130 were wounded on Tuesday um that's today
and that's according to Nater Garun um he's a spokesperson for the Al A Ala
Hospital which received the casualties he said most were being treated for gunshot wounds so most moral military
man i remember when they used to trot that one out um no military has ever taken more pains to not kill civilians
than Israel allegedly according to Israel of course and nobody else um
again it's important for people to know that there is no military objective here uh there's no security threat hamas
can't they cannot attack Israel's border they can't do another October 7th
there's there is no security threat so Israel's security
visav their battle with Hamas it's non-existent there's no threat there so
what does that mean like they're just doing this to do it it's literally to
make life as miserable as possible on the civilian population
and terrorize them they're committing acts of terrorism there's just no two
ways about it like whenever you hear these people talk about well you must
not forget October 7th i'm like guys like this is al Qaeda logic that's what
it is this is terrorist logic the idea that there's this thing that happened
that was Yeah obviously horrible obviously atrocities were committed so
now I'm going to do something that is completely holy not even in the same proportion again and I bring this up
again not not because I agree with this guy but Bin Laden after 911 was like "Bro the CIA was housed in there they're
a legitimate military target nobody would ever say that was legitimate on
the part of al-Qaeda nobody so you know Yeah sorry you You know what's amazing
to me like they love to they do love to bring up those atrocities that happened
on October 7th and I don't blame them for wanting to talk about those atrocities and draw attention to them when they want to justify going after
Hamas but there is every indication that this isn't about going after Hamas okay
this is about they failed Anna like Hamas has probably got more members now than they did on October 7th but if you
want to have a conversation about atrocities like using rape as an act of
war um can we discuss the prison guards at the Israeli prisons who have been
caught raping Palestinian detainees who haven't been charged with any crimes
when that story became public can we discuss the fact that when there were supposed to be consequences for said
rapist Israeli prison guards the insane unhinged extremist settlers started
rioting in order to uh offer protection for the said rapists
so listen your argument about Hamas loses any and all power any and all
logic and credibility when you argue that it is okay for Israeli prison
guards to carry out rapes of detained Palestinians who haven't been charged with any crimes or any deta any detainee
any detainee even if they have been charged with crimes even if they've been convicted of crimes
it's just listen Israelis don't get to enjoy a double
standard where you know some of them get to rape some of them get to commit
atrocities some of them get to murder innocent people and then turn around and
judge other groups for doing similar things or the same things both groups are disgusting
all atrocities against innocent people disgusting all atrocities period
disgusting israelis don't get to enjoy some god-given god tier double standard
where they get away with carrying out barbaric acts and that's what they've been doing in Gaza and the West Bank and
no it's not something that just started after October 7th it's something that's existed for a long long time and people
are sick of it people are calling it out and the people calling it out aren't anti-semites they're not anti-Jewish
they're not you know anti- Israel's right to exist or Israel's right to defend itself against terrorist
atrocities they're seeing the injustice and they're speaking out against it because it
disgusts them as much as it disgusts me i'm so sick of this garbage and this crap and I can't believe that we're
still funding this but we are we're still funding it because our politicians are either pedophiles that Israel has
some uh compromat on or they're bot according to a statement issued by the
broadcaster BBC Arabic correspondent Ferris Keelani a British citizen along
with two BBC colleagues and four Syrian freelancers were held for 7 hours on May
9th while filming in southern Syria near Golan Heights the team have described
how they were tied up blindfolded strip searched interrogated and threatened the
BBC said adding that soldiers also confiscated and deleted material from
their devices despite making clear to the soldiers on multiple occasions that
they were working for the BBC the behavior they were subjected to is wholly unacceptable the IDF soldiers
reportedly pointed their rifles at the heads of the reporters and confiscated
their phones and cameras one officer speaking fluent Palestinian Arabic told
Kelani he would be treated differently from the rest of the crew but still demanded he stripped to his underwear
under threat he was interrogated about personal details including his children
while the rest of his team was bound blindfolded and subjected to the same
process and listen to the chilling threat they were given by the IDF the
officer threatened us with worse worse consequences if we approached the frontier from the Syrian side again and
said that they know everything about us and would track us down if any hidden or
undded photo was ever published as of now the IDF has yet to comment on the
situation but Jenk what do you make of this yeah so this is a a twofur israel
has done this very regularly recently uh so one is targeting journalists cuz um
they don't want word getting out about all the horrific war crimes and ethnic
cleansing and genocide that they're doing they're I'm glad that they're slightly embarrassed about it but their
way of uh uh of going about it is to either hum humiliate and detain and
steal the work product of journalists uh or just simply to murder them and a
little bit later we're going to have stats for you guys on how they have killed more journalists uh than
conflicts that were way larger i mean you're going to be shocked at those
numbers so and it's and it's not just in killing the journalist and detaining the journalist uh they're trying to shut
down any social media they're trying to shut down any person in media who speaks against Israel they're trying to shut
down anyone on a college campus who speaks against Israel i mean Israel is doing the biggest cancel culture project
that anyone has ever seen so this is them trying to cancel all foreign press
and trying to send a message to them saying you better not try to tell people
the truth about Israel if you don't lie on our behalf and you dare try to do
actual reporting there's going to be significant consequences for you and then the second part is the humiliation
they love to do this and it's a lot of what tormentors do uh this I I feel like
Israel has become one giant Stanford prison experiment uh where they've become the guards and they've taken on
that that role and they so they've become like gratuitously disgustingly
torturous and so they're just going in and going what else can we do oh yeah let's strip them down and they'll march
them around in their underwear it'll show the Palestinians and the stupid journalists covering the Palestinians
jesus Christ what happened to Israel this is unbelievable and so look it's
one thing if you hate Israel it's another thing if you're neutral but if you love Israel this is what you wanted
Israel to be this was your dream God I hope that's not the case cuz it's it's turned into
something monstrous in this ridiculous effort to so-called
protect themselves right what part notice where this story is in it's not
in Israel it's not even in the occupied territories this is in Syria what the
hell are they doing in Syria well they're doing greater Israel because I mean look I don't know if you're an
Israeli supporter did you know the plan was always Greater Israel do you love that it's Greater
Israel and then you keep going into uh Arab land and taking it and pretending it's for self-defense and then
slaughtering the people inside and treating them as hostages and prisoners for 58 years was that the goal was that
is was that what you dreamt about with Israel that you always wanted to take more and more Arab land while pretending
to do self-defense or did you really actually want a peaceful Israel cuz if you wanted Israel that was lived in
peace with its neighbors you're going in the exact wrong
direction and if you wanted it to be a safe haven for Jews how does it help to get the entire world to despise Israel
by doing things like this how does that help so I don't know i don't If you love Israel you should be 10,000 times more
disgusted by this story than we are and you should take action to get Israel to
turn around but if this is what you like then you become a monster too all right
we're going to give you more evidence in a sec but yeah I I think that regardless of
what uh Israel or anybody who supports Israel's government's goal was you know what we're looking at is uh just a
complete lack of boundaries and a lack of consequences for anything that they've ever done cuz the first issue was uh Israel being founded in land that
was already occupied so that in and of itself created the issue that's still been going on but I mean ever since
Israel's founding America has been firmly behind uh their government so I mean this is one of the issues that
Democrats and Republicans are practically identical on in terms of the handling of the Israeli state doesn't
matter what they do they get the weapons that they request when they request them uh they get upgrades when they request
them and uh despite you know the world's lack of enthusiasm for what's happening
to the Palestinian people uh what difference does it make if the powers that be don't do anything about it so
even if we get a real progressive to be president which you know that's a that's a huge uphill battle you know it's
easier to get progressives in like House seats and stuff like that nothing's impossible but even if we did do that I
mean sure we you know maybe we could get a little bit of leeway but what would really change because that Apac money
and just Israeli influence over um uh you know them being our one of our top
allies you know is one person really going to be able to change that so unfortunately I think this is an issue
that may never change that much unless everybody not just Americans but the
whole world stands up uh to to the leaders in their government and demand change otherwise it's just too ingrained
in the system we've got some of the stats that show that this isn't just them humiliating journalists
intermittently or this isn't this isn't an anomaly they're also killing them in record numbers and a report published in
early April found that Israel's war on Gaza has killed 232 journalists an
average of 13 per month making it the deadliest conflict for media workers
ever recorded according to a report by the Watson Institute for International
and Public Affairs cost of wars project more journalists have been killed in Gaza than in both world wars the Vietnam
War the wars in Yugoslavia and the United States war in Afghanistan
combined i mean Jenk what how do you feel when you hear those numbers when
you hear that stat and all of these wars combined it is horrific uh I literally told that to uh somebody that's at the
ACLU at a University of Chicago um uh panel that we did together and she was
on the left with me we were defending freedom of speech and so I brought it up in the context of freedom of speech and
she said no no no there's no way that that's true now why does she say that one is of course bias beloved Israel can
do no wrong even though they've slaughtered more journalists yes slaughtered whatever it's Palestinians
the New York Times says slaughtered when you know Palestinians doing it whenever it's Palestinians getting slaughtered
they say "Oh killed." Statistic number right no they're human beings those are journalists by the way if you're at the
New York Times and you're at other mainstream media outlets I mean those should be considered your colleagues
obviously they're not your colleagues because you're not real reporters so uh and and that leads me to another point
which is that our media our so-called reporters are the worst in the world in
the world okay why why do I say that so how many times have you heard that amazing journalist number the number of
journalists killed more than World War I World War II Vietnam etc all that combined how many times you've outside
of the Young Turks my guess is that you've never heard it why aren't other journalists in America outraged by that
i mean my god when there's journalists killed in other conflicts rightfully so they're like "This is outrageous."
Right when Kosogi was chopped chopped up a Washington Post columnist by the Saudis we all went nuts over it we all
still remember it and that's good that's good so that's one journalist that the Saudis killed and we spent years talking
about it over 200 journalists murdered by Israel
sh and to Jackson's point really every reporter in the country
didn't notice that the Apac money might be influencing our Congress people do you know that 87% of the people in
Congress take money from Apac and affiliated groups and oh what a amazing
co coincidence every single one of them votes to give Israel endless money no
matter what they do but yet not a single mainstream media reporter in this
country noticed that come on you guys are a joke
a total and utter joke you didn't notice either one of those amazing facts no no
oh golly gee it's Israel i just couldn't see it okay so and but the good news is
now online media social media is strong enough that people are all waking up from this matrix and going what apex's
the number one donor to people in Congress and these loser marketing
executives at New York Times and CNN and that's what they are they're not reporters they're just marketing
executives or donors they didn't notice that the largest donor and the fact that
we have given over $300 billion dollars to Israel to steal more land to kill
more Arabs to kill more journalists they just couldn't they didn't notice they didn't know oh golly gee is that what's
happening we didn't notice let alone the propaganda about how they're the most moral army and the
Palestinians had it coming because they use human shields by the way that human shields line is literally the defense of
every single government that has ever committed a genocide they always say "Well the Armenians were hiding behind
their own civilians we had no choice but to slaughter them all." Well the Jews were hiding behind their own civilians
and the and the Croats and the and the Bosnians were hiding behind their own civilians so we had to kill them all you
see and you know why we did it self-defense self-defense but our reporters in America haven't figured it
out reporters all across the world governments across the world start rebelling against Israel why do you work
for them tell me i get why our scumbag politicians work for them they literally get bribed i know it's legal bribes but
it's obviously bribes but reporters why do you work for them and aren't you just
embarrassed so they humiliate these poor BBC reporters strip them down their underwear do all this stuff right but in
a sense aren't they doing that to everyone on cable news in America i mean these they have to go out there and do
this humiliating reports like Israel is the most moral army the Palestinians had
it coming they deserve it they're the terrorists not Israel not Israel israel
has killed over 500 times the number of children that Hamas killed and our
dumbass humiliated reporters go out there and go "No Hamas and Palestinians
are this savage terrorist israel no way accidentally they accidentally murdered
16,000 kids they accidentally murdered 30,000 women and children it was all an
accident they didn't mean it they're the best." Humiliating well I think also not it's you know not
just the biggest issue obviously is the money and how long it's been involved but also you know this kind of reminds
me of how the public and you know reporters and things like that have
become very desensitized to issues like gun violence in America you know it it it's so permeated in our daily news
cycle it's so much a part of what we expect that you just kind of look the
other way and unfortunately I think that that's what uh a lot of the um the
public feels um for people who aren't like very strong supporters of Palestinian rights it's just kind of
like oh well you know just another day another thing that Israel is doing um so
it's just it's just ingrained in how we do what we do it's just heartbreaking it's absolutely heartbreaking this is
totally preventable there's no need for it and I think there's a lot of blood on on the hands of inter uh international
agencies and especially US politicians who enable it and block any attempt to hold this government and their military
accountable because that's why this continues if there were any repercussions for this at one death at
two deaths it wouldn't happen and it wouldn't be the numbers that we're seeing more than all of these wars
combined yeah our governments are all giant sellouts they don't represent us at all
do you think the British government represents the British people you think they're enraged by what happened to BBC
no they're going to lie down and take it again they're going to make excuses for Israel they're going to send them more money more weapons kill more
Palestinians to humiliate our journalists even more and they're nothing compared to America i I'm sick
of Israeli control and if you're saying that Israel doesn't control our politicians you're a or deeply
deeply biased and you live in an alternate reality a a crazy laand where
facts are upside down every time you ring the bell below an angel gets his wings totally not true but it does keep

Trump COGNITIVE DECLINE laid bare for ALL TO SEE by FURIOUS NEWSOM

California Governor Gavin Newsom isn't holding back as he calls out Trump's startling cognitive decline. Dina Doll reports. Produced by Francis Maxwell.

Transcript

[Reporter] ... Or he came out and said that when you
guys spoke he warned you that if you
didn't get things under control he was
going to bring in ...

[Gov. Gavin Newsom] Stone cold liar

[Reporter] And he
also seemed to make up this idea that
the National Guard did a great job last
night uh when they weren't here They
weren't even deployed and he claimed
victory He's lost it He hasn't lost a
step
And I saw him trip on the steps today I
mean he this is ser this is a ser this
He is not the same person that I dealt
with just four years ago Oh that's going
to hurt The gloves are off and my
money's on the man not tripping up the
stairs
Joe Biden can't even walk up a flight of
stairs on Air Force One and he can't put
two sentences together It's crooked Joe
can't even walk up the children's stairs
in Air Force One you know
Now doesn't that look terrible you see a
Ben come out you want to see a man walk
out or woman walk off Air Force One nice
and high wave to everybody This guy goes
through the little stairs We call them
the children's stair
And now he's made it a common practice
Maybe at this point Carly they should
just install one of those you know stair
lifts the chair on the stairs at this
point you know going up to Air Force One
perhaps an elevator because Andrew Bates
the White House their allies in the
media they're trying to spin the
unspinable
The oldest man to ever be sworn in as
president Donald Trump is showing some
major cognitive decline just this week
alone And Legacy Media is choosing to
ignore it Here at Midas Touch we're
bringing the receipts because it's not
in spite of all the big news that is
happening around the world with Israel
attacking Iran with Trump federalizing
the California National Guard It's not
in spite of that that we're talking
about this It is because of that Because
if he is going to lead us into world
wars and he's going to send military
troops in the streets of a city you
better bet American people deserve their
president to at least know what he's
doing So let's just even start with the
whole interaction with Nuome Trump goes
out there and he says that he had to
send in the troops He had to federalize
the California National Guard because
there were so many deaths on the street
Take a look When is the last time you
spoke with Governor
Called him up to tell him got to do a
better job He's doing a bad job causing
a lot of death and a lot of a lot of
potential death If we didn't send out
the National Guard and last time we gave
him a little additional help uh you
would have Los Angeles would be burning
right now Los Angeles would be not a lot
different than what you saw take place
in California and Los Angeles just a
little while ago There were exactly zero
deaths in Los Angeles And yet our
commander-in-chief was so cognitively
impaired he didn't know that and he sent
in troops to the city of a major city in
our country based on a false set of
facts Now Gavin Newsome should certainly
use this and his court filing where he's
trying to get the now the Ninth Circuit
because it's gone on to the Ninth
Circuit to stop Trump and he from
federalizing the California National
Guard from sending in the Marines that
Trump used facts that were not true in
order to justify it And so there is no
justification every single cognitive
impairment of Trump's should be used in
a filing Let's start using this against
him Now this was not by far even the
last of his cognitive problems He also
of course talked about that phone call
with Nuome He's Trump seems to have a
problem with phone calls So he he wanted
to say that he actually did consult with
Nuome about the National Guard but he
didn't And so he said that they talked
yesterday He showed a screenshot of the
phone call that evidently he made to
Newsome but instead of it being
yesterday because he made the statement
on the 10th yesterday would mean it was
the 9th The screenshot shows he spoke on
the 7th and Newsome had already said
that he had spoken to Trump at that time
So yet another cognitive impairment He
does not even remember when he spoke to
the governor about whether or not to
literally take over the National Guard
of that state which leaves that state
defenseless for things the state needs
to defend in case there's other protests
or wildfires or other reasons that a
state has a national guard He can't even
remember when he spoke to that governor
That should be used by Gavin Newsome in
his court filing as well Now listen to
Newsome describe the phone call he did
have with Trump Not where they talked
about the National Guard but evidently
they talked about something that was so
bad New doesn't want to reveal it First
of all now I really want to know the
content of that conversation And second
of all it just shows again how impaired
Trump is that he would have a phone call
and the content of which would be so
damaging Newsome doesn't even want to
reveal it And he's saying these kind of
things to somebody who's clearly his
political enemy Who does that if they're
not so impaired in the moment they can't
even control the conversations they have
and he's the one who's going to be
getting us out of a potential World War
III or deciding major decisions about
our policy and our health and whether or
not our streets become militarized Take
a listen to what Muhamm says Do you have
a readout oh I would love to share the
readout but I rever the office of
presidency so I'll keep it in confidence
He has quite literally made up
components of that conversation Um he's
been a stone cold liar about what he
said or we talked about He never
discussed the National Guard Period Full
stop I would love to share with you what
he actually talked about That would send
shivers up your f spine In one speech
alone there were many cognitive issues
that had nothing to do with Nissan He
speaks about the fact that Germany and
Japan lost World War I not World War II
Perhaps one of the simplest facts out
there that our commanderin-chief doesn't
know And I saw reporting about this
where even newspapers just went ahead
and said he was talking about World War
II They just corrected his mistake
without bothering to mention that he
said it wrong Why assume it was a
mistake instead of the fact that he's
showing severe cognitive impairment and
is incapable of doing his job so here's
him talking about World War I instead of
World War II You know a lot of people
said "We don't want to do that." I say
"Yeah we do We want to show off a little
bit." You know recently other countries
celebrated the victory of World War I
France was celebrating Really they were
all celebrating The only one that
doesn't celebrate is the USA And we're
the ones that won the war Without us
you'd all be speaking German right now
Maybe a little Japanese thrown in
But we won the war And we don't
celebrate But we're going to celebrate
on Saturday And we're going to celebrate
from now on we're going to celebrate our
greatness and our achievements He also
says in the speech that Russia lost 51
million people a shockingly wrong number
It was really more like half that and
math as we know is usually very
difficult when people are suffering from
dementia It is one of the things to go
and he has had a lot of problems around
numbers Let's take for example also when
he talked about the price of eggs going
down 400% Despite the fact that no price
can go down more than 100% because then
you reach zero Very easy logical math
usually to do Here's him talking about
this number he pulls out of his sky
about the number of deaths Russia
suffered during World War II although of
course he said World War I And I called
France and uh Mcronone who's a good man
I said 'What are you doing he goes "Uh
we're celebrating World War II our
victory." I said "Your victory Your
victory tell me about that." And then I
called somebody else and I happened to
speak to President Putin at the time Now
in all fairness to him he lost 51
million people and he did fight Russia
fought Sort of interesting isn't it he
fought with us in World War II and
everybody hates him and Germany and
Japan they're fine You know someday
somebody will explain that But I like
Germany and Japan too But Putin is a
little confused by that You know he said
"We lost 51 million people and we were
your ally and now everybody hates Russia
and they love Germany and Japan." I said
"Let's explain that sometime." Okay In
this speech he also tries to proudly
talk about rolling back the climate laws
that California has enacted in order to
protect our environment And in that
speech he can't even remember the word
for electric charging stations And he
talks about firing plants and then
charging plants Take a listen And
countrywide you'd have to spend $4
trillion to build the firing plants to
build to be able to they call it firing
They call them a lot of things Charging
plants firing plants $4 trillion you'd
have to spend in the Midwest
They built nine of them
Nine individual It's like a pump It's
just like a pump except instead of gas
electricity comes out
They spent actually they built eight of
them
Nine billion dollars They spent for
eight eight little hoses 9 billion
Now I'm sure they could have done it for
about you know 1 1,000th of that but
even if they did it's unaffordable
Trump's rapid cognitive decline should
be used in court filings against him
because when the DOJ says that the
president as the executive has the right
to make this decision in his judgment
they have just put his judgment in
question before a judge And the
plaintiffs such as Gavin Newsome and
others should be able to question his
ability to make that judgment And
there's a lot of evidence out there This
video just touches on some of it to show
how unable he is to make a judgment that
affects the lives of so many So in the
battle between Newsome and Trump my my
I'm putting my cards in with Newsome In
my battle with pretty much anybody else
with Trump I'm putting my cards with
pretty much anybody else Anybody who is
cognitively able to do their job and
protect our democracy The truth is more
important than ever Check out our new

Trump gets STUNNED as Army seems to DEFY HIM
MeidasTouch
Jun 16, 2025 The MeidasTouch Podcast

MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas reports on veterans who have said the Army members who participated in the parade intentionally did not stand in formation because they didn’t want to be used as props for Trump’s dictator birthday parade.

Transcript

Donald Trump and his regime are
humiliated right now based on what went
down not just at the dictator parade but
the fallout as the United States and the
entire world mocks the Trump regime how
awful and bad it was how low energy how
sparsely attended there was like no
coordination and it seemed like the uh
military members who attended did not
want to be there that's a theme though
I've been hearing a lot from a lot of
our veteran supporters at the Midas
Touch Network who were saying "Ben if
our uh soldiers wanted to show up and
march in formation and meet the pomp and
circumstance of a situation they would
be able to do so." So one of the things
that I've been hearing is basically this
could have been a subtle form of protest
within the military against the Trump
regime for using them as props for
Donald Trump's dictator birthday parade
co-opting the 250th
anniversary of the United States Army i
mean and you even saw people of the army
like they were holding like drones over
their head the the whole thing almost
looked like it was mocking Trump like
and by the way it looked like Melania
was mocking Trump while Donald Trump was
inconsolable mel I've never seen Melania
look happier to see somebody suffering
when Donald Trump was there right next
to her so you have all of Donald Trump's
sick offense in his regime trying to
pretend that hundreds of thousands of
people showed up when it was like less
than 10,000 people who attended so you
have the Department of Defense rapid
response they write "We were honored to
host hundreds of thousands of proud
Americans at the Army's 250th
anniversary america is the greatest
country on earth." And they uh post
either this photoshopped image that
that's not what it looked like yesterday
go back and watch all of the videos I
did i did it from every single angle
there was not 250,000 people there there
were not hundreds of thousands of people
who showed up donald Trump's
communication director Steven Chung Post
amazing despite the threat of rain over
250,000
patriots showed up to celebrate the
250th anniversary of the US Army god
bless the USA once again there was
probably at most around 10,000 people
who showed up but let's let's dissect
this shall we david Earl Williams III a
United States Navy veteran who served
from 2002 to 2006 writes the following
as a US Navy veteran I can confidently
say the troops in Trump's flop of a
military birthday parade weren't even
marching they were casually strolling
the lead soldier couldn't even muster a
proper salute then there's the lone
soldier awkwardly holding a DJI drone
above his head it's equal parts
hilarious and pathetic you can bet
soldiers around the world will be
reenacting and mocking this mess during
their next formation meanwhile the No
Kings protest drew an estimated 5 to
12.5 million attendees absolutely
dwarfing Trump's bargain pin parade
barring any major health event in the
next three years one thing's for certain
Trump won't be doing this event again
and uh here's the video that he dropped
of it here play this clip
[Music]
next up uh this veteran writes the
following jake writes "When military men
and women in uniform march they march
with tight timing and in lock step as
sign of pride these soldiers couldn't be
further from marching in lock step it's
clear that they don't want to be part of
Trump's dictator parade and are just
phoning it in here play this clip."
Again today's a celebration of army uh
as you noted the other branches are uh
much younger i'm sure that's a source of
competition at times uh but uh this is a
chance to celebrate soldiers this
account Terry writes "Someone in the
highest position within the chain of
command of the Department of Defense
need to resign or be fired this parade
put our soldiers in a bad light not
dressed right no dress no lockstep
marching with the cadence and collar
looks like the first week of basic
training." This one I saw go viral by
Irvy she writes "Former army here it
takes about a week of drill in basic to
learn how to march once you do it's
ingrained in you for life you know how
to self-correct if you fall out of step
and if there isn't a commanding officer
leading the march there's a designated
point person within the ranks to call
out a left right left if they notice
disorder in the cadence so this cluster
F of a parade leaves me with only one
conclusion this was a silent protest a
foxtrot delta tango if you will speaking
of that Shannon Watts points out the
following for the kids the song they
were playing during this dictator parade
is called Fortunate Sun by Credence
Clearwater Revival which is a protest
song that critiques the social
injustices and class disparities of the
Vietnam War draft system that Donald
Trump exploited to claim he had bone
spurs to get five deferments to not uh
be drafted into the Vietnam War here

and the irony cannot be lost that as
they're playing fortunate son you have
Donald Trump saluting the army army
soldiers dressed in the Vietnam
fatingsues that Donald Trump dodged the
draft and said that his personal Vietnam
was his claim purportedly he says that
he avoided STDs during the 1980s which
he says made him more courageous even
than those who fought and died in
Vietnam here let's just play that clip
right there again dating right and when
you got him say to a woman "Hey listen
you got to go to my personal doctor and
I'm going to have you checked out." Is
that a tough thing to say to a woman or
you just got the balls to say it you
know I'll tell you it's amazing i can't
even believe it i've been so lucky right
in terms of that whole world because
you've never gotten a social disease it
is it is a dangerous world out there
it's scary it's like Vietnam sort of
like you know the Vietnam era it is your
personal Vietnam isn't it it is my
personal you've said that many times
like a great and very brave soldier
so here um I I've seen
this Tik Tok going viral where they made
that soldier walk while holding a drone
above his head play this clip
[Music]
you can see here in this photo Melania
relishing happy as can be at Donald
Trump's suffering here again you can see
looked like a no-show for Donald's
birthday play this clip
[Music]
now I love this clip maybe one of my
favorite Trump clips of all time this 90
seconds of Donald Trump absolutely
suffering but Melania could not be
happier watch Trump suffer as Melania is
enjoying every moment of this here play
this clip
in 1914 years of escalating competition
between European alliances culminate in
the outbreak of the First World War the
two sides engaged in the savage war of
attrition defined by opposing trenches
barbed wire poison gas and mass
casualties the United States initially
maintained its neutrality but was
eventually drawn into the conflict in
1917
despite having less than 130,000
soldiers at the beginning the army
eventually grew to over 4 million with
nearly 2 million soldiers serving in
Europe in 6 months of fighting nearly
50,000 Americans lost their lives with
another 190,000 wounded the guns fell
silent with the armistice of November
11th 1919 1918

Transcontinental Convoy

mi and 62 grueling days across the
Lincoln Highway and remember no pavement
no GPS and no power steering just grit
determination and the drive to push army
mobility want to give a shout out to
this account power is taken not given on
Tik Tok this has gone ultra viral a
veteran right here and he gives his take
along the lines of what I've been saying
in this video play this clip okay were
any of my fellow veterans out there
caught off guard by just how shitty
Trump's military parade looked i don't
know about the rest of you guys but I
was genuinely shocked now don't get me
wrong the United States Army has plenty
of problems but finding the pageantry
and stage craft necessary to pull off a
tight public performance not generally
one of them they pretty much nailed that
one every time the presentation of the
equipment was lackluster and uninspiring
the uniforms didn't look all that sharp
the march the marching was a horror
story like they're just walking nobody's
in step i couldn't believe what I was
witnessing i don't know the entire thing
just seemed tacky cheap and
unprofessional to me which is really
funny when you consider the fact that
they went out of their way to tell you
that this was sponsored by random crypto
scams special thanks to our sponsor
Coinbase
it's like a bad dream to end on a good
note whenever I saw one of the Army
marching bands they they look pretty
tight they they seem squared away and to
to end on an even better note I love
that the thing was sparsely attended
it's couldn't happen to a better guy
this next one comes from the medic rigs
Tik Tok account and they write
"Apparently practicing drill and
ceremony was not of importance play this
clip." Bro that feel like a hot damn
mess
all right so boot camp story um whenever
we had marching drill days for like
drill competitions in boot camp it was
dumbest ever um the 900 divisions
always won because it was just a bunch
of band camp nerds which I was one of
those i was not a 900 division but
anyways I digress um all of the kids who
could not march who had no rhythm at all
the RDC's just went around was like "Hey
you your ankle hurts today right you
need to go to sit call." The kids be
like "No what?" And the RDC's like "No
your ankle it looks like it's swollen up
you need to go to sit call." and they
just ship them off to sit call so that
they would have an advantage and get rid
of all the the kids who couldn't march
