Three Trespassing Vessels Stopped in Strait of Hormuz: IRGC
July, 29, 2026 - 08:34 Defense news
https://www.tasnimnews.ir/en/news/2026/ ... ormuz-irgc

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the targeting of three trespassing oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

The IRGC Navy Command announced in a statement on Wednesday morning that a few hours earlier, three violating oil tankers that “continued to move on an unsafe and illegal route (in the Strait of Hormuz) despite our warnings were hit and stopped.”

The IRGC Navy warned once again that the illegal interventions and directives and prohibitions of the child-killing American army to vessels in the region will not go unanswered.

The statement went on to say that the IRGC Navy will continue to exercise complete management over the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States has perpetrated numerous violations against Iranian territory since April 7, when US President Donald Trump announced a unilateral ceasefire in the latest bout of wholesale American-Israeli aggression targeting the Islamic Republic.

The violations continued even after Washington and Tehran signed a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding last month, whose first clause had clearly mandated cessation of aggression on all fronts.

In line with the MoU, the Islamic Republic also designated a maritime route for safe and legal passage through the Strait of Hormuz. The US has, however, been trying to help ships evade the route by seeking to escort trespassing vessels through an illegal passageway.

Iran's Armed Forces have staged uncompromising retaliation in the face of each instance of violation, including those taking place in support of illegal vessel movement in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iraq's Nujaba warns US, Saudi interests will 'pay a heavy price' after deadly strikes
Wednesday, 29 July 2026 2:11 PM [ Last Update: Wednesday, 29 July 2026 4:00 PM ]
https://www.presstv.co.uk/Detail/2026/0 ... airstrikes

Iraq's Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba has warned that US and Saudi interests will "pay a heavy price" after joint airstrikes targeted resistance positions across several Iraqi provinces overnight, killing at least 20 people and wounding dozens more.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Iraqi resistance movement condemned the US-Saudi aggression against Iraqi territory after the strikes hit multiple provinces, including Baghdad, Basra, Karbala, Kirkuk and Nineveh.

The movement called for the immediate removal of all US military bases and headquarters from Iraqi territory, describing the American military presence as "a constant, existential danger" to the country's security and stability.

It also urged Baghdad to immediately suspend all cooperation with Saudi Arabia, stating that the kingdom is serving as a principal sponsor of terrorism against Iraq.

The group criticized Baghdad's response to the attacks, saying officials must move beyond "statements of anger and denunciation" that only encourage further aggression.

Al-Nujaba also called for the urgent deployment of advanced air defense systems to protect Iraqi airspace and demanded accountability for failures to safeguard the country's sovereignty.

The resistance movement vowed not to allow the United States and Saudi Arabia to violate Iraqi territory "without extracting a heavy price from their interests and security."

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi also condemned the aggression, describing it as "unacceptable" and "a blatant violation of Iraq's sovereignty" that targeted the country's official security institutions in violation of international law and the UN Charter.

Amedi said the Iraqi territory must not be used "as a launching pad or arena for attacks on neighboring countries or for settling regional and international scores," urging all parties to respect Iraq's sovereignty and avoid actions that could undermine the country's security and stability.

The joint US-Saudi aggression against Iraq coincided with the arrival of millions of Muslims from around the world in the holy Iraqi city of Karbala to mark Arbaeen, the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), in one of the world's largest annual religious gatherings.

Some observers say the timing of the attacks appears to signal hostility towards the gathering, which has long served as a platform for expressions of solidarity with the Axis of Resistance and condemnation of US-Israeli wars and expansionist policies.

Max Blumenthal breaks down Netanyahu's most desperate DC visit yet
The Grayzone
Jul 28, 2026

The Grayzone's Max Blumenthal joins Kei Pritsker to explain how Israel is summoning its proxies inside the Pentagon and the media to keep President Donald Trump invested in a failing war on Iran, where the US is running out of stand-off munitions and interceptor stocks, and why Netanyahu has returned to Washington DC for a record eight meeting with Trump.

Transcript

So, Max, you were telling me about this uh schism or this uh difference, this divide in the administration right now about their strategy towards Iran. Obviously, the US hasn't struck Iran in 3 days and there are differing camps in the administration about how to approach that. Can you tell me a bit about that? Yeah, I mean the the two the schism is over something that wouldn't surprise you.

who is functioning as a proxy for Israel and who is at least modestly attempting to represent American interests and it's becoming a split actually within the Pentagon which is really interesting. publicly. You have Sentcom commander Bradley Cooper warning of a munitions shortage and Dan Kaine who is the chairman of the joint chiefs, you know, the br the Pentagon brass also saying the same thing that there are not enough munitions to sustain this war indefinitely and that they have expended all their targets in the straight of Hormuz, failed to dislodge Iran's control over the Straight of Hormuz and now they need a pause. They're not just talking about standoff munitions like tomahawks.

They're also talking about interceptors and claiming that, you know, regional allies and US assets in the region could be in danger, as could Israel if they escalate against Iran and do what Trump had proposed, which is and Rubio had proposed, which is, you know, a bridge and oil plant for every ship that Iran strikes. They just can't do it. But here's what's interesting. uh Ben Shapiro, who's one of the biggest, you know, Zionist tools in the media, whose whole Daily Wire is basically astroturfed by Israeli proxies, is out there along with Mark Levvin, someone who's even closer to Trump, the Fox News carnival barker, declaring that the US needs to escalate, even drop a nuclear weapon on Iran.

That's the American America first thing to do is to totally destroy Iran, not acknowledging that they can't do it. So Ben Shapiro released these this rant. He said, you know, it's acceptable that we've had these four American soldiers die and that, you know, scores and scores are getting wounded. That's what happens in war.

We should just destroy Iran. Tucker Carlson responded to him and mocked him as a chicken hawk who's representing Israeli interests over Americans. But if you read closely into Tucker's reply, he said something that I initially missed, which is that Brad Cooper, the Sentcom chief, is actually being privately advised by Mark Duboitz. Who is Mark Duboitz?

He's basically Israel's top guy on K Street at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, which was originally founded as EMTT EME, a organization which in its original founding documents said its goal was to enhance Israel's image in the United States. It's basically Israel's main think tank that has devised every aspect of this war. And according to Tucker, the head of SentCom is being advised by this top Israel lobbyist to escalate against Iran. " He told me he has a highlevel administration source.

Actually makes sense. In February of 2023, before Brad Cooper was sent chief, when he was in the Navy, he was hosted by the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy. His predecessor back then at Sentcom, Michael Kurilla, was known as Israel's favorite general. And he has, you know, gone on to promote Israel since he's left.

He did everything Israel wanted when he was there. Visited Israel constantly. So, Israel has and and FDD have this record along with other Zionist think tanks like Ginsa of of cultivating top level military figures. And now Mark Levin takes to Twitter X and said, um, I'm reading it right now.

I hear Cooper is raring to go, but Kaine is not. So that might actually be a serious divide here, not just within the administration, but within the Pentagon. Why doesn't Dan Kaine want to go in? Well, it just makes sense.

He actually was leaking to the Washington Post and New York Times before Operation Epstein Fury began on February 28th that there weren't going to be enough munitions. Okay, let's go back to that point. The US had 3 to 4,000 Tomahawk missiles in its total arsenal. By that point, February 28th, before they launched the war, they they fired 27 Tomahawk missiles to assassinate Ayatollah Ali Kami at his compound, which I recently visited outside in in Tehran.

By early April, the US had used 800 Tomahawk missiles, almost a quarter of its entire supply. It was burning through tomahawks at a record rate and it was starting to dip into its supply of JASM uh missiles. Why were they using all these standoff munitions? Because they were afraid to loiter jets over Iran because they would be shot down by Iran's kind of ambush style majid anti-aircraft system.

And we saw it land some serious hits. I mean, it's the first any aircraft system to hit F-35. So now you have a problem where there aren't enough standoff munitions. They can't loiter jets over Iran because they fear losing the pilots and their bases are being destroyed on the ground by Iran's ballistic missiles.

The Aluate air base in Qatar has been totally evacuated and Iran is now hitting their bases in Jordan. What does that mean? That means they have to pull back their in-air refueling tankers even further, which they would need to refuel jets to take out Iranian air defenses. And so they can't actually they're they're struggling to launch offensive operations and they're rationing interceptors at these bases.

We've learned that they're actually allowing Iranian ballistic missiles through and the Kaibar Shaikon uh ballistic missile has been increasing in accuracy enormously since the war started. So this is another massive strategic defeat for the US as it's paused these strikes for the last three days. and the Israel lobby and basically Israel's forces inside the United States are clinging to the hope that Sentcom Chief Brad Cooper will be that much of a tool that he will defy all logic and the cold hard calculus of uh munition stocks to go back in and attack Iran. And Israel needs the United States to do that because any deal that Trump strikes with Iran, any deal harms Israel's interests.

Yeah. Uh that's that's really remarkable. like you're saying it sort of it's not even that Dan Kaine or these people who are speaking against or cautioning against a strike are ideologically even opposed to attacking Iran or that they're you know pro they're not pro Iran or anything like that but that they're just saying hey we don't even have the munitions to do it I mean it's not even in the realm of possibilities for us but like you're saying Israel and FDD are pushing the US to do something that strategically I mean is not even It defies all logic for the self-interest of the United States. Um, and this ties into another thing that just happened, which is this Ukrainian attack on Iranian ships.

I mean, obviously Ukraine's been embroiled in a, you know, conflict that's taken 2 million lives at this point. And one of the big themes was the is the shortage of munitions and Ukraine's shortage of weaponry. It's constantly trying to field more uh supplies and uh capital from the European Union, from America, but now they're attacking Iran. Why are they trying to deepen the conflict?

Well, I've said from the beginning to uh pro Palestine liberals who had no analysis at all of imperialism that if you're supporting Ukraine and you're calling for US aid to Ukraine, you're supporting the same system, the same system of imperial hedgeimonyy that has doomed Palestinians to refugee camps and to siege in Gaza. Ukraine and Israel are objectively on the same side. And now it's very clear. Although ideologically Ukraine might not necessarily be uh doing this out of Zionist ideology, it has positioned itself as a big Israel in Eastern Europe.

In the words of former US ambassador to Israel under Obama Dan Shapiro in order to appeal to America's desire uh to weaken Russia and to maintain US support. Now, that was much easier under Biden. You know, in this town in Washington, you could walk outside uh during the height of the Ukraine proxy war and just see Ukraine flags everywhere. They're still around.

They're just everywhere in, you know, these liberal neighborhoods where people are federal workers. Trump comes in and promises an end to the proxy war within . Obviously, he wasn't going to do that. Uh he's now fully invested in it.

But there's a situation for Ukraine where they feel like they have scored some kind of tactical advantage using uh drone swarms to hit Russian oil infrastructure and cause an oil crisis in Russia, but they're not able to actually hold territory in the Donbass and their interceptor stocks are running low. Why? Because the empire is overstretched. Whether it's Biden or Trump who's there, Patriot batteries are being repositioned from Ukraine to Israel along with bad missile systems, along with uh all sorts of munitions that the US can no longer supply to Ukraine.

Why? Because the Israel lobby controls the Trump administration. Uh Ukraine is, you know, at best a junior partner now. So, how do you get back on Trump's side?

the road to Washington runs through Tel Aviv. So, attack Iran. Attack Iran through uh its shipping and tried to lure Iran into some kind of uh peripheral battle. Esme Bai, the spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry, has accused has has likened these Ukrainian attacks to the attacks by anarchists prior to World War I in order to draw the great powers into a a larger war.

And uh Dimmitri Pescov, Putin's spokesman, has said that he agrees with Baguay's analysis. And um I agree as well. Ukraine is trying to uh demonstrate to Trump that it's actually on the Zionist side in order to guarantee that it can maintain some enough munitions to be able to hold off this Russian offensive which is gaining territory. And I mean they're not able to intercept these uh Russian missile attacks on Kiev.

It's for the same reason. This is this is also why Ukraine invited Laura Loomer uh the racist, fascistic, maniacal MAGA bigot who is said to be close to Trump who has flown on Air Force One who uh up until like two weeks ago was uh attacking me probably on behalf of her Israeli clients uh calling for me to be arrested and was uh calling for the US military to massacre millions of Muslims attending the funeral in Tehran of Ayatollah Ali Kamee. I mean, she's someone who's widely hated in the US. You would never meet a Laura Loomer fan, but she's supposedly close to Trump.

And she obviously is representing Israeli interests. And so that's why they invited her. And according to the former Ukrainian opposition lawmaker, Anatoli Sheree, she was paid as much as $2 million. She's acknowledged she had donors who brought her there.

So Ukraine is widening the war, threatening World War III in order to main Trump maintain some loyalty from Trump and it and and it's doing so by uh participating in what is effectively a war for Israel against Iran. And I think, you know, really interesting point you make is it really does seem like this attempt by the bipartisan uh military-industrial complex to bring together this coalition of people who support Ukraine but maybe didn't like what Israel is doing and people who support Israel but were maybe critical of Silinski and Ukraine to sort of bring them together just clearly now on the same side fighting the the larger uh you know enemies of US imperialism And it really does bring that that meme together of the, you know, Ukraine, [laughter] the Ukraine Palestine activist has kind of been uh silenced at this point. Um, yeah, you don't see those flags in too many people's emojis anymore together. No, no.

I I had a neighbor two years ago who had the the two the Ukraine Palestine. I wanted to knock on his door, but I never got around to it. But um you know so obviously I mean and this all kind of seems to be cultivating now in this in this moment both Zalinsky and Netanyahu are visiting Trump and you know I want to get your perspective. What do you think they're going to be asking from the president?

Well I think Trump wants some kind of deal. The politics are becoming too burdensome for him and Lindsey Graham's dead. There's this new uh Wall Street Journal, I think it's a Wall Street Journal documentary showing Lindsey Graham in his office the day Trump attacked Iran and it's very dark. He's talking about how Trump actually enjoys blowing things up and he's smiling and you can see he's he's almost deriving liidinal erotic satisfaction from what happened that day, which was actually the massacre of 168 school girls and their teachers in Minab.

Several massacres were carried out that day. Totally sick man. Netanyahu is coming to pay homage to Lindsey Graham to come to his funeral. It happens to be timed for this week.

Um Lindsey Graham was someone who was functioning as an unpaid foreign agent of Israel who would go to Tel Aviv and ask and tell Netanyahu how to reach Trump. And so Netanyahu is going to draw on that knowledge that he got from Lindsey Graham to reach Trump. Let's go back to the Biden era. Students at Colombia are protesting.

You're filming the encampments. Netanyahu demands that Joe Biden and his administration call out the National Guard and enact a Kent State massacre on American students. And I was sitting in the State Department briefing room and Matthew Miller then the spokesman was asked why won't he will he condemn that and he refused to condemn like the Biden administration had instructions not to condemn Netanyahu for calling on the US federal forces to massacre American students for protesting a genocide supposedly being carried out by a foreign arm. I mean, that just shows you how much control he had over the Biden administration that they wouldn't just I mean, imagine if Putin had done that.

Right now, Netanyahu is going to New York as well as Washington. And he and his proxies, his Israel first, or you could call them Israelon proxies in the US, are waging a campaign of violent incitement against the New York mayor for calling for enacting the ICC warrant against Netanyahu. It is uh shocking what they're doing. They're actually calling in so many ways for someone to take out mom Donnie.

Sid Rosenberg, this uh you know, drug addled shock jock who looks like a hot dog that had been cooked at a gas at a gas station hot dog stand for too long. Was on Fox News and calling Mandani a terrorist and a jihadist. " It actually shocked even the Fox News anchors. And uh we see like administration officials like the number three at the Department of Justice, Harit Dylan, who's supposedly in charge of their civil rights division endorsing what he said.

She through her law firm is representing an Israeli foreign agent known as Show Faith by Works, which is currently geoencing churches for Israel. So the administration is filled with these Israeli tools and Trump like literal tools and Trump is surrounded by them. But Netanyahu had his war. He convinced Okay, let's go back to February another Why did I bring up those two incidents before I do this?

Just to show how much meddling Israel gets away with and the level of control they have over this administration. No other country would be able to incite violence against a elected US official like they're doing against Mam Dani. And then you had um Netanyahu on his I think seventh visit to the US last February right before the war began. He marched into the situation room in the White House, sat at the head of the table, which has never happened under Trump.

Trump sits to the side. He brings in David Barnea, then the Mossad director, uh, on a screen behind him and they tell Trump, "This is what we're going to do. We're going to assassinate Ali Khan. " He gave it a shot.

It totally failed. Oil is now spiking above $100 a barrel. As we me talked about in the beginning, the straight of Hormuz campaign has failed. What does Netanyahu have to offer Trump?

Not much. And Donald Trump doesn't seem to want to wage a joint campaign with Israel, although Israel might somehow get involved. Israel failed, by the way, in its 12-day war with Iran alone and needed the US to rescue it back in June 2025. So, it doesn't look good for Israel.

But they have to keep the war going. The objective for Trump started out as regime change, freedom. Then he threatened Iran to destroy Iran civilization and it became about removing their uh nuclear dust as he called it. Now it's about opening the straight of Hormuz and returning to the status quo anti from before February 28th.

There's no clear goal. It seems like he needs an exit ramp. But for Netanyahu, the goal is to keep the war going because it the objective for Israel is state destruction. They need Iran to just be totally destroyed.

They couldn't care less if millions and millions of refugees flow out of Iran. They'll go to Europe. They won't go to Israel. They'll go to the US and Canada.

They couldn't care less about damage to the world economy. They're living. They're the world's biggest welfare queen. the US has to still calculate some of these negative knock-on effects from the war.

So Netanyahu is here for one reason and one reason only, which is just to keep the war going somehow some way. And he's going to he's going to try to dupe Trump into starting the war again. and he's going to be working through figures like Mark Dubowitz who is advising Bradley Cooper to try to get the war going without adequate interceptor stocks. And what I see happening is Trump will eventually cave to some of this and it could escalate again.

It's already escalating around Yemen through the uh Saudi siege and the Ansar Allah counter siege of Saudi shipping. Uh it could escalate in Iraq where the new prime minister is trying to disarm the resistance by this February and by by this September. Um but ultimately it's going to wind up as a battle around Israel because the US is going to have to reposition its all of its forces back into Israel as the Iranian campaign of debasification continues a pace with great success. And so the final fight will ultimately be around the apartheid colony of Israel.

I couldn't have said it better. And you know, I think it's uh it's worth pointing out. I think a lot of people misunderstand how could Israel uh exert such influence, how could a such a small country exert such influence over such a larger country? It's exactly like you said, you know, concentrated amounts of money deployed strategically to certain key individuals, certain institutions goes a long way.

And I mean, I didn't know that about uh this idea of uh Israel's favorite general, this former Sentcom general. I mean, the idea that that even exists in the United States, you would think that would be an outrage. this would be, you know, something a headline in every newspaper, but no one really talks about it. Um, and like like you're saying, you know, it it's gotten to this point you have Israelis or Zionists calling for, you know, taking out mayors of American cities, calling in the National Guard, going to wars that we literally do not have the munitions to fight.

I saw a headline. Loheed Martin is now uh they're in a joint partnership with GM, the car manufacturer, to make more of these Patriot missiles, Thad missiles. I mean, it feels like we're now like orienting our entire economy around that we're shifting literally shifting our production to, you know, keep this war drive [clears throat] going and um to defend Israel. Exactly.

Exactly. Pete Hathth, the Secretary of War, actually had to eliminate or fire the Pentagon weapons inspection team, which is in charge of making sure that weapons are of high quality and will actually reach their targets because he said they're slowing down production rates because they need to race them to Israel because the US, again, it's run out of standoff munitions. Uh and then on the point of uh just how extensive the Israel lobby's program goes, how deep it goes, there was an interview I saw today or a clip of an interview with Greg Bovino. Remember him?

He was the commander-in-chief of the border patrol who wore that like SS like long coat and was, you know, Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then but then he like tried to throw a a tear gas can, but he actually threw kind of like a girl.

He was like [laughter] um Yeah. He was asked about his, you know, how what did what did he was it true that Israel trained the border patrol and he said actually in 20201 we were taken down to a training session and it was all Israeli trainers and they were really good and uh they gave us the best training we ever had. Agent with Bart Bartrol tactical unit. Uh they sent me to a VIP security school and it was ran by the Israelis and let me tell you so IDF actually does work with border patrol in ICE because I've always heard that.

Well it was uh that school is for all law enforcement. So even before 911 he was being prepared. [laughter] I mean it's extensive. Uh Jinsa I mentioned them before the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs they've train they've uh brought thousands of military officers literally thousands to training sessions.

The ADL they've brought hundreds and hundreds of cops and uh military officials to Israel. uh and they don't a lot of these guys don't they don't have uh any other framework for understanding the conflict. Uh so it makes a real impact on them and you know we can see it playing out but now it's also just straight up enticement through the most corrupt administration in history. Pam Bondi, I mean, one of the first things she does is get rid of the foreign corrupt practices division at the DOJ.

Uh, weakens Farah protections because she was the top lobbyist for Qatar. Um, and makes it that much easier for people in the administration to function effectively as foreign agents. And then you have the the whole MAGA verse megaverse of influencers. I mean, who's paying them?

[laughter] It's the most aggressive, largest foreign meddling campaign in history being run through Trump's former chief of staff, Brad Parcell. So, it's all coming to a head now. Bribery, intimidation, lies, deceptions, manipulation versus the cold, hard reality that this war has failed and that Iran has fought off a fading empire. [music] Hey,

Iran's Missile Strike TORCHES US Bases, Trump STUNNED | Larry Johnson & Col. Lawrence Wilkerson
Danny Haiphong
Streamed live 5 hours ago #iran #iranwar #trump

Larry Johnson and Col. Lawrence Wilkerson discuss shocking developments in the Iran war including a preemptive strike on US bases by Tehran and a US-Saudi bombing campaign in Iraq that has the region bracing for renewed escalation just days after the US's own self-imposed "ceasefire."

Transcript

Welcome back to the show. As you can see, I am joined by Larry Johnson and Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson to break down the latest developments. So, first we have Iran surprise strike on MUAF Salti air base in Jordan. Uh Iran announced that it launched several ballistic missiles at this air base in Jordan in particular against A10 fighter jets in this air base uh destroying them.

That is what Iran is claiming. Now Iran also says that three oil tankers were given a warning in the straight of Hormuz and struck and brought to a halt simultaneously. Uh Sensecom says that these strikes were all intercepted. Uh this is what they said here and here's the reality.

It seems like there was actual impact. Now Iran is saying a source close to Galibah said that the meeting between Netanyahu and Trump was actually the reason why this base was struck overnight because there were plans uh for a US operation and Iran says they were thwarted. Now Trump says that he is going to beat the effing out of Iran to Fox News and this is all coming gentlemen as US Saudi strikes. This is an interesting and surprising development on Iraq have killed 20 popular mobilization forces.

Now Saudi Arabia is blaming Iraqi resistance for strikes on its oil company and this uh gentleman is a big one for and I've seen reports of five IRGC members were killed in those US Saudi strikes. So let's get to your reactions gentlemen uh on this latest news. It seems like this war has opened up on many fronts very quickly despite the uh lack of US strikes on Iran in recent days. How about we start with you, Larry?

What the hell is going on? I don't know. [laughter] So, should I say pop? Yeah.

Boy, that's a good question. Okay, so let's let's start with uh the the Saudis defing deciding to open up a three-f frontont war. Uh they started by attacking Yemen or the Houthis, Ansar Allah, and Ansar Allah responded to very strong fashion by upping the blockade on Saudi ships and hitting uh this uh petroleum refinery, the most modern one in the world and uh and uh you know it inflicted major damage on it. So then uh Saudis responded by using their proxy force that attacked Yemen.

And then once again the Houthis responded by hitting another oil refinery in the east part of u Saudi Arabia. But the Saudis blamed it on the Iraqis. o yesterday the Iraqis with get attacked by the United States and the Saudis. Now, this group that's being attacked, it's actually it's it's formally part of the government of Iraq.

So, this is this is the United States and Saudis committing an act of war against the the nation of Iraq. They're going to respond. They're going to retaliate. And so, here is the Saudis putting themselves in a position where they have lots of targets that can be hit.

And and and in terms of manpower, Iraq dwarfs them. Iran dwarfs them. And um I think the Houthis are on par or maybe a little larger. I think that you know, you're looking at 20 million Arabs in in Saudi Arabia.

So uh right off the bat, the Saudis are expanding their combat operations. You know, the last thing you want to do is expand your conflict when you have limited resources. and they do have limited military resources. So I I expect we're going to we're going to see nothing nothing immediately today or tomorrow from Iraq.

They'll probably wait till Friday, Saturday because the the Shia pilgrim pilgrimage, the Arbain is underway and they they don't want the pilgrims to be targets of attack by either the Saudis or or the United States. So, you've got that going. Then this this uh curious attack by Iran. I say curious because it was just sort of like it appeared out out of the blue.

U now the United States insists you can't get it straight whether it's five missiles or six missiles, but we intercepted them all. Really? Yeah. Really?

I I have seen video of strikes. So, you know, they're using the same tactic the Iraq 5 minutesUkrainians have used. Jud deny everything claim it's just the opposite. Maybe nobody will look into it.

" I I tend to believe them. And I think what they're doing is they recognized the United States was going to gear back up for military strikes anyway. So, they're preempting it. So uh the bottom line is despite the optimism that reigned over the weekend that the talks are back on track.

They are the talks are going nowhere. I don't care how much intervention by Pakistan and Oman and Qatra there is. Uh the Iraqi position is very firm and it's not going to change. That is, if the United States wants to re-engage, it's going to have to force Israel out of southern Lebanon, lift the blockade, lift the sanctions, unfreeze the assets immediately, not at some point in the future.

Unfreeze the assets now. Show that you're going to comply with that agreement. Then we can talk about nukes. But the United States position is a do 180 degrees that no, no, we got to talk about nukes before any of that.

And Iran said no. not going to happen. Well, Colonel Wilkson, uh, your thoughts about this maybe beginning with Iran and extending outward. I think Larry's absolutely right.

Um, and I would go further and say, uh, as I did on the previous podcast I was on, um, go back a year when I was saying the propensity of the conflict in Ukraine and a conflict in Southwest Asia at that time were to break out beyond the homicidal, genocidal, whatever you want to call it, killing of Palestinians in the uh, in Gaza, the potential for these theaters of war to connect and become elongated as it were and connected is going to grow ripen with every day that goes by because war has a tendency of affecting borders and affecting people on those borders and affecting people who are indirectly impacted by the effects of the war you're looking at. And in this case in Europe, it has enormous potential for spreading all the way from the northern borders of Finland down to and including Spain and Greece and other countries that are going to be impacted ultimately by the weight of this war in central Europe. But it also has the tendency and is showing that tendency right now as wars have a way of doing especially when they're waged by idiots and fools to spread in ways that no one ever dream dreamed of dreamt of whatever word you want to use in the beginning. And we're seeing the kind of connections that these sorts of wars like the two central theaters we have going right now, South by Asia and Ukraine to sort of metastasize.

We're seeing, for example, Zalinsky thinking he has an opportunity to get back on Trump's good side, if you will, or back on the Europeans and Trump's good side by suddenly leaping into the war in Southwest Asia in ways that will reflect with them positively on him, he thinks. And we're seeing, as Larry just pointed out, other regional characters being drugged into these conflicts because of things that are happening that they cannot fail to respond to. All to say, I think, and and I haven't even mentioned the fact that we are doing some things right now in the area where Russia has invited China to help it work on developing, you ready for this? the toll structure and perhaps the passage structure in general for the massive distance that ships are going to travel once we get an ice free and it's here already.

They're just working ahead of time. um Arctic, the ships that are going to travel along that long coastline of Russia, which of course China shares nothing with, but now does management even of that regime up there for the ships to pass along there east and west. And we don't like that. So we're up there trying to pertabate that mainly with submarines right now, but we're up there and we're up there with full knowledge of what Russia and China are trying to do.

All to say that we could have a conflict going between the ice-free areas of the Arctic in the north all the way down to Bonderbas Chabahar and even out into the Indian Ocean to an extent because we have naval assets out there that are attackable and we have a blockade developing around Odessa that the Russians are constructing. Uh we have Erdogan looking at his own strait and what might be done with it to gain revenues for Turkey as well as to protect his own ass. This could go regional and then global very quickly. And all of it has potential for use of nuclear weapons.

Every stretch of it. This is not a good thing. It's not a good development. and Donald Trump bears a lot of the responsibility for putting the latter aspects of it into motion and not doing anything about it.

Yeah. And I wanted to uh continue on updating on what's been going on. We spoke about this a little bit before the program. An American LNG tanker was struck by a drone at Demiata Port in Egypt.

Uh this happened today uh early afternoon and Trump said he was briefed on it and it's more of the same. Iran is being blamed for. We don't actually know who uh fired it just yet. Um Larry, uh Donald Trump is saying this that there will be strikes tonight and then I'll get your comments on what's happening here.

In the meantime, uh we're going to be hitting them very hard because it's our turn to hit them. They know it's coming. They're asking us not to do it, but uh you know they tried shooting it last night. So we had five rockets shot going 8,500 miles an hour and all five rockets were knocked down to the ground, but they nevertheless took a shot.

So it's our turn and we'll see if we get there with an agreement at some point, but we're going to hit him very hard. I don't know if you all are watch sports talk shows, but there's a guy skipping it's it's my turn now. So that's essentially Donald Trump's response here. Uh Larry to you, what what uh please help us understand what exactly is going to happen here.

Yeah. The So if there were five missiles fired and if they knocked him down, what they knock him down with? Well, let's assume it was the Patriot. That means there are 16 more Patriots gone because they had to fire at least two at each one of those missiles or so, excuse me, 10.

So, you know, 2 * 5 is 10. If there were six, it's 12. And the those missiles run roughly $5 million a missile. So, that would have been around $60 million worth of missiles fired to take out but but but they didn't.

That that's the point. It's a lie. Uh and again, Trump keeps thinking this is some sort of uh sports uh activity, a game, you know, okay, you get the kick, now we get the kick, now you get the kick, now we get the kick. Uh Iran's Iran's not handling it that way.

Iran has proceeded with a very strategic approach to uh destroying the US ability to see what's coming. Iran has destroyed 19 radar systems and or satellite communication systems over the course of the last five months. And even Trump in his comment admitted that that strike that came in on Moaf alsi we only had minutes. I mean at the last minute we So he's admitting that the advanced radar warnings they used to have are no longer present because that's what Iran is doing.

It is dismantling, blinding the United States ability to see what's going on on the battlefield. Number one. Number two, they're forcing the US to redeploy its both personnel and air assets to other to places outside of the traditional bases they occupied in places like Aluded and the fifth fleet headquarters in Bahrain and and the two uh camps up in Kuwait. So the United States is actually being forced from the area and that that's why Iran continues to attack Moafik Alsalti just to make it to increase the pressure on the Jordanians and we're already seeing that happen in Jordan.

There are there was a large number of leaders, political, military, economic leaders that basically published an open letter yesterday to uh Prince King Abdullah's and you know get the United States the hell out of our country. So this is this is about making the United States no longer welcome in the entire area of West Asia and the the last last place they're retreating to is Israel. And and now we saw actually we saw a couple of very curious things out of out of the events surrounding Lindsey Graham's funeral yesterday. One after after Zalinski from Ukraine meets with Trump, the Ukrainian foreign minister immediately after that meeting immediately gets on the horn with with Arachi and going oh yeah about about that attack in the Caspian Sea.

Hey, listen. We're really sorry, man. That was a mistake. we uh we're a you know why' they do that?

Well, apparently Trump told him, you know, we're not going to expand this war. You may want to, but we're not going to and you better get this taken care of. So, Ukraine did an immediate um backdown uh on that. Um but but then we're still faced with the the shortages and the economic consequences.

Notice that once Trump start threatening this war again the stock market which had gone up about a,000 points on the Dow Jones has dropped over,00 points today one day alone and the price of oil which it dropped is now back up you know it's gone back up over 90 for uh for Brent. So the yo-yo effect, the effect on the economy continues and that's not positive for Trump or his agenda. No. And I pulled up there that immediate uh reply by uh Ukraine's uh foreign minister to uh Arachi who they and there were reports in Reuters and elsewhere saying that Iran was ready to actually retaliate but received that call in assurance that uh this was indeed a one-off and a mistake.

But I wanted to pull uh this up for you, Colonel Wilkerson. This is what you were referring to earlier. There are reports now that Ansarella is considering a fee for ship transit transiting uh ships transiting the Bob El Menddeb Strait. So, uh, this is getting contagious and and I'm wondering, you know, with this LNG taker in Egypt hit with Jordan being a target, some have said that, uh, Jordan also being a target is for Iran is really important because it is one of the uh, it's like the last layer of defense for Israel.

So, Iran is really paving the way here to demonstrate that like no part of the region is safe for the United States to launch its war. How do you see uh these developments? Well, let me make a comment on what Larry was saying earlier, what you asked. Um I I think u Sinsky may have been told that Iranian ballistic missiles can reach Keith.

So I I'd be a little circumspect about how I tried to expand this thing, too, which I think makes his fora into Iraq, if it's true that he has made a fora into Iraq, even dumber. Um, and maybe even some messages will flow over that. As far as the Red Sea and the straight that protects it or the straight that opens it, I think, as I've said many times before, that's a far more critical and more widely commodity oriented other than just oil and gas and those things we associate with the Persian Gulf, though it too has other commodities. And if you do something to the Red Sea that is significantly injurious to that commodity traffic, that is to say, you force it to go around the horn, which increased costs.

I forget the tabletop we did at the USS Institute a piece. We talked about the additional cost. I think it was one and a half or two one and a half or two times as much expensive for most ships to go around the horn. Um or if you take the Saudis and you plunge ahead and go through the Suez from a north, go up and out the straight of Jibralar, it's what or something like that more steaming time.

If you go that way 19 minutesand you're headed for Pacific ports, maybe it's even more than that. All to say the Red Sea is more important than Persian G. uh the conclusion of the tabletop we did with almost everybody at the USIP. I'm talking about MARAD, I'm talking about AIG, I'm talking about Lloyds of London, I'm talking about the EU, I'm talking about the separate European countries, I'm talking about Mercy Corps, almost everyone in the world with any interest in that region of the world.

Paycom was there, Aricom was there, uh, Endo Paccom was there. All represented, we all agreed that the strategic competition cockpit, if you will, was shifting from the straight of Hose to the Red Sea and the Babel Mandev. It also explains why we have and many other militaries too so many forces on Djibouti. And one marine said to me, if another Marine lands on Djibouti, it'll sink.

Um and the Turks even trying to get there too. I understand they couldn't so they are looking for land up around Somali land may have found it uh north of Djibouti. All to say that it is an incredibly important point of commerce lane of commerce and is also this is an aside but it's an important aside. It's one of the reasons as is the straight over moose as is Gibralar itself as is other things like that a reason a big reason the Chinese base road initiative includes railroads that through their economies and their speed essentially changed the whole nature of world commerce.

They change it from being fundamentally maritime to being fundamentally landbased. This has happened before in the history of empire. It happened 2,000 years or so ago when people got tired of paying the almost paradical rates of the Portuguese and others who maintain surveillance as we do today of the maritime routes. They got tired of it, built these internal routes and put these people out of business.

That's what the Chinese are going to do. That's why we're fighting some of this conflict. When we when you really search the strategic purpose that we're doing this, I don't think Trump has a clue, but there are people behind him who have lots of clues and they're trying to stop this. And this is a perfect example of it and an example that is more or less happen chance serendipitous that it's occurring in one of the most heavily traffked ocean routes in the world and it's occurring with these various aspects of this war that's going on and some of the people belligerent in that war.

Nonetheless, it's not changing the value of the route or the nature of what I'm talking about in terms of this change. So we're actually looking at those who are working to make this route more difficult and more expensive in whatever way adding to and accelerating what the Chinese and now the Russians and the Iranians too I think are doing and what they want to achieve which is to shift commerce from the maritime environment where who dominates us to the land environment where all of them, including China, Central Asia, Russia, Iran, will dominate. And that's what we're up against. And I think we're losing.

Well, Larry, doesn't what the United States is saying it's going to do in response to Iran overnight, all of this, doesn't all this activity from what Saudi Arabia and the United States are doing with Yemen and Iraq, doesn't all this just accelerate this process? Because there is so much attention now. It's a straight of four moves and it's now the babble men up straight uh given Saudi's interesting and maybe uh dire miscalculations. So your thoughts on this and and reactions?

Yeah, it's like uh hitting the strategy is hey let let's uh let's get rid of this glob of mercury. Let's hit it with a hammer. Well, you hit a glob of mercury with a hammer. What does it do?

It splits into four or five different pieces. And then if you keep heating it hitting each piece, it keeps spreading into other pieces. Yeah. So you you never destroy it.

All you do is you you create you make it a bigger problem for you trying to clean up that mercury. You you turn it into a mission impossible. And you know, it would be one thing if the United States was sitting on a well stocked inventory of weapons, particularly precision strike munitions, but we're not. It's just it's the exact opposite.

In fact, we, you know, go back and look at the during those 13 days of attacks, you know, a large number of the strikes were uh not high precision munitions and they tended to take place on the coasts. Well, what was that about? That means we were dropping. One thing we do have a pretty good supply of are called Jams.

Now, JDAM is actually a kit that is attached to a regular dumb bomb that is like putting wings on it so it can fly. Uh it can glide. And those JAMs can they can be glided with just like what the Russians are using that are called FABS. Except the big difference is the Russian FABS, they've got one that goes up to 6,000 lb bomb and they can travel a 100 miles or more.

The USJ dams have a much more limited range up to 40 uh I think it's 40 miles, maybe it's 40 kilometers, but not it's not beyond that. So that's what you know why you're seeing those bombs, those strikes along the coast and not deep into the interior. So it gets down that the United States has less ability to project force and to sustain that force projection. Th those are two critical elements.

And you know we we keep the lying to ourselves about oh we're much better than we actually are appear to be. No we're actually as bad as we appear to be. And just to add to that, Danny, I Larry may know more about this than I do, but I heard yesterday about this bruhaha that's going on between General Keane uh Kaine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Glad to hear that he's finally weighing in on some of this, and Bradley Cooper, the Navy Forstar, who's in charge now after the absolute utter ass we had before of Central Command.

And the bruhaha is over Bradley Cooper. essentially saying that we can go on doing this for as long as we want to. And Cain, who has to look over all the other unified command commanders who no doubt are doing exactly what I'd be doing if I were one of them. What the hell do you mean exhausting all these munitions so that I can't even fulfill my war plan should they have to be executed?

Yeah. Because I guarantee you that's going on. And so there's this battle going on between Cooper and the chairman right now. And I can tell you who's probably going to win that in the long run unless Trump weighs in for Cooper and that is Ka uh Kaine because he's right.

You can't keep doing this. You run out of the kinds of things you need in all the other areas for uh not just implementation of war plans should it be necessary but also for presence missions and such. So, I can see that there. And I heard some other things of Bradley about Bradley Cooper that I didn't know that he's a real Jensa fan, that he's almost as plugged in to the Israelis as uh the gorilla was.

Um, this is not good that we've got Israel even at that level in instructing people on what to do and how to do it. Um, so if this is a problem in the chain of command, then Hexath, God bless his soul, needs to do something about it because Kane's right. And by the way, the JDAMS Larry was talking about is what we worked on so hard to get the Saudis out of getting from us when they were waging their war against the Houthis with our with our help. Um, and I think it's I think it's fair to say that the Saudis were not too good with their extended range F-15s delivering them.

What they would do was pickle them and they would go to the end of their guided range and fall as just nothing more than dumb bombs. I think that's like one that hits a bus that killed the 48 school children or whatever that had Rathon on the side of it. These are not, as Larry was insinuating or saying there, these are not long range munitions. So that tells you something.

If if we're using principally JD dams, not only do we not want to overfly Iran, we we're not going to hit anything. And then I think it's I think it's 29 miles is the extended range on one of them. Yeah. About about 40 kilometers.

Um so, you know, this is this is not good not good for the empire. Yeah. Yeah. And there's predictions, Larry, that uh or at least there are mumblings, rumblings that the United States is going to uh contrary to, uh Colonel Wilkerson's suggestions, uh try to strike deeper into Iran uh tonight.

Uh, and I'm wondering your thoughts about the role of Israel in this too, because now more details are coming out of this meeting that they had, including a uh a declaration by Israel to Trump that they will not attack Iran first again and they will only follow the United States and would only respond if directly attacked. I'm curious on what you believe Israel's role in all this is and the the risks, the dangers of of trying to deepen uh strikes against Iran at this time. Well, uh Defense Minister Katz got himself in hot water by claiming that uh US had launched strikes on Iran using Israeli territory. And boy, he got he got uh blasted for that by the United States.

Um, so they're trying to they're trying to actually keep Israel's role in this quiet. [clears throat] They want to keep it play it down as much as possible. Why? One, because the Israeli air defense system is depleted.

Two, they've suffered some damage to the sole two refineries they have that make diesel and aviation fuel. If if Iran decides again to renew its attack on Israel, there's nothing not a damn thing Israel can do to stop it. It's going to it's going to absorb a lot of punishment. And some of that punishment is going to be longlasting.

" No, it's some of it may not be fixable, which is which is the problem they face. So, um, what, uh, what the United States is basically trying to keep Israel from getting getting to the middle of this as Israel itself prefers to stay out of it. But, but, but I don't think I think this go round that's not going to happen. And as they get as they really face a pounding from um from Iran, uh you know, it's going to it's going to expose as we saw in the 12-day war that Israel cannot take the punishment and then it starts pleading with the United States to find a negotiated settlement.

The the difference this time though, I don't think there's a negotiated settlement to be had. I think uh the Iranians are at the end of the rope and they're they're not willing to make any further concessions. And uh I wanted to bring up this graphic uh Carl Wilkerson because it seems like it is going to be a very busy uh evening, rest of the week and into the weekend because all of these fronts are now open. Uh Iraq has been added to the mix.

you have uh the US need to respond to the Iranian strike or saying it needs to respond to the Iranian strike on the Jordanian base and of course Yemen is still very much in this and uh uh has been struck recently. So I mean where where does this all lead? Yeah, please put that back up for just for a second, would you? Sure.

Look at look at that. Look at the uh the I think it was the third bullet if I remember right. Sure. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Unless a peace deal comes out of nowhere, the situation will dangerously lots of missiles. Yeah.

A peace deal will come out of out of nowhere. [laughter] Donald Trump will say, "Oh, we got negotiations going on and we're just about there. The Iraqi the Iranians are really sweating and they want to talk. " That'd be my most likely prediction.

Um, otherwise we're going to just resume the idiocy and we're going to find out as Larry said and as I agree 100% with just how much idiocy it is that we're involved in and how different it's going to be at the end of the day when we really are out and we don't have anything left. Yeah. He and then to both of you Larry, you can start the longer this goes on and the more that the United States either says it's responding to Iran or aggressively attacking Iran and now with all these other fronts open the leaves less and less room for any kind of exit or offramp for the United States. uh just thinking in the eyes of a in the mind of a of a hedgeimon, the more conflict there is, the more war and chaos that is being sowed, the less likely the United States is going to pull out.

And even if it does go back, go back to what uh there it just seems like now the inevitability here, the only one is war. Well, yeah, war, yes, but with with what? With what? Power projection.

In other words, the United States doesn't have unlimited resources. 34 minutesAnd so, its ability to start a fight, sustain the fight, and end the fight have radically diminished. And we've seen it over the last two years. We got the first hint of it year ago, May, when after seven weeks of attacks on the Houthies, the United States declared victory and left.

Said, "Oh, the Houthies capitulate. " Now, the Houthies did no such thing. It was the United States that effectively capitulated, admitting that our carrier strike group could not defeat the Houthis. In fact, I think there were two carrier strike groups at the time.

Okay, so now we're back with they're off the coast of Iran. Once again, the the the entire foundation of US military force projection in the la, you know, the last quarter of the 20th century was built upon carrier strike groups that no government on the face of the earth could withstand because they were so powerful. uh they could they could bring a aircraft carrier to your shores and the air strikes would be decimated. That u our our military our our our our ground force was again with unmatched in the world and then on top of it our air power.

Boy, who wanted nobody wanted to confront the United States with its massive air power. And now what has Iran shown in the in the course of five months? One, the US is terrified to put its uh carrier strike group anywhere close to the straight of Hormuz. You know what uh 40 roughly 40 years ago in 1987 or let's call it 39 years ago.

Uh the USS Carl Vincent sailed through the straight of Hormuz into Bahrain docked. I got that from one of the sailors who was on that ship at the time. Doc sailors got liberty. Not you know and Bahrain's not Manama is not some great liberty port.

I'll concede that. Uh but uh nonetheless the United States had no problem putting his carriers in there. We don't do that today. And our ground forces.

Hell, our army is down to 472,000 globally. And you know that that represents about 40, you know, we used 40% of that force back in 19 in 2003 to invade Iraq. So we're not even we're not even equipped in terms of manpower to be able to uh if you will recreate what we did in Iraq in 2003, much less invade Iran. Uh and then that leaves air power.

And as we've seen with the air power the apart from the 37 minutesF-35 being a hanger queen that needs uh you know she need that that plane needs more attention than a opera diva um the weapons that are supposed to launch are becoming unavailable. So now all of a sudden the United States has got a complete it's got budgeted and designed for a military operation it cannot carry out and the rest of the world is suddenly discovering that going hey you know we thought that they could do this and now we know that they can't. Yeah. Yeah.

But it keeps keeps going anyway. Uh Colonel Okerson keeps going on air and Trump's promises. Yeah this is true. This is true.

This is true. Yeah, Colonel Wilkerson, your thoughts. I mean, we have also reports. I don't know if you saw them.

Uh, hard to know if these are accurate. Reuters is saying that China is reportedly preparing to transfer hundreds of shoulder fire air defense missiles, the man pads to Iran. Uh, it's reported that it will be 300 to 400, including QW12, FN16, modern portable surfacetoair missiles designed to engage drones, helicopters, cruise missiles, and lowflying aircraft. China's denying the reports as of right now, but uh there has been a lot of talk about China and Iran's relationship, Russia and Iran's relationship, especially in light of what Ukraine did to the Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea.

Uh your thoughts on on these reports and uh what it what it says about Iran and the state of the war in particular. I don't think China would be so non circumspect to do that in a way that would be as visible as you've just indicated it is. Um not that they wouldn't ultimately and eventually do something like that and I would think it would be more than just man pads. Um but I don't think they believe that the situation is untenable right now for Iran.

I think they believe the exact opposite of that. I think they believe and rightfully so in my view that Iran is more or less winning. Uh going back to that headline in Harets who which I think was very descriptive on 28 29 fee not 29 but probably one March somewhere right after 28 February where they said all Iran has to do is not lose to win and all Israel and the United States have to do is achieve a spectacular victory to win. Well, there's not going to be no spectacular victory for either Israel or the United States or the two in communation combination.

So, Iran's already won because they haven't lost. And China knows that. And if there is a prudent circumspect leadership in the world to match Putin and Lavough, it's Wangi and Xi Jinping. So, they're not going to take any overt action that would uh injure their possibilities, you might say, with regard to their support for this conflict.

Um, they're going to do things like apply their overhead intelligence mechanisms and maybe ship things on the railroad and ship things otherwise that are necessary, as is Russia's probably doing across the Caspian and perhaps China, too. It's not that far to Jing Jang Province. Um, and and there's a railroad that runs right up there, too. So, out of out of China.

Um, I just don't think I think that's a rumor. Uh, I don't think it's good rumor. Um, I don't think the Chinese are in any position to be worried. really the most they're worried about is probably this bigger struggle that I'm talking about and how much even this inept attempt by the empire and its deep state to check them in terms of their base road initiative is slowing them down.

Um it was slowing them down majorly in Pakistan you may have noted and all of a sudden it accelerated. all of a sudden they're getting everything they want pretty much. And the Pakistanis have pretty much made it obvious that now they've thrown their weight in with China principally as opposed to being with the empire. Um, no one's talking about that, but that is where things are going now in Pakistan.

So, China's got the game going for itself. Why why screw it up when it's going well? Yeah. Well, here Larry is, you know, when you see responses like this, that kind of confirms Colonel Wilkerson's uh, you know, assessment there.

This is how Donald Trump responded immediately to Iran strikes on the US base in Jordan. And President Trump reacting to that Iranian attack on US forces overnight in Jordan. " He went on to say, "We'll be hitting them hard. " So, so, uh, exclive laden, Larry.

And the fact that a reporter, I mean, Trey Inks, you know, I wouldn't call him a very respectable figure, uh, nonetheless. But the fact that anyone would read something like that out loud and take it seriously is something to behold. But Larry, your thoughts on this? It doesn't really bode well in terms of how the US is coming off right now as this war, you know, drones on.

Well, [snorts] if if if Trump's words translated into victory, then yeah, he, you know, he'd be he'd be winning one war after another. But, you know, these kinds of threats when they're when they're not followed up by by any kind of action that validates it simply again makes it increases Trump's weakness that he's seen as feckless and you know people stop taking him seriously which that could be dangerous in that you know one of these times he actually may be serious about you know threatening some mass use of violence U but but for now it's just you know we're let's see it is currently uh almost 5:00 or till 5 here. So add 8 and 1/ or 7 and 1/ and so that puts it at 1:30 in the morning and usually by now we're we're launching those air strikes. They haven't started yet.

So maybe they'll wait till a little bit later. But, you know, once those air strikes begin, then Iran retaliates and starts hitting its share of targets. So, we're going to see where those if those targets expand tonight. And then on top of that, we're going to see what are the Houthies going to do and what is the, you know, the the militia in Iraq, as I mentioned earlier, they're gonna probably hold their fire for a couple of days.

But, you know, this this whole area is gonna it's it's gonna, you know, basically be on fire and that's not going to help the oil market situation at all and it's not going to help the US stock market at all. And the oil markets are very curious. They're going up now, but even despite the activity, uh, they have not been matching as we have seen ever since the Aprilou, Colonel War, they have not been matching necessarily the reality on the ground at all. But uh one reality that has not that has been uh acknowledged to a degree is uh the United States SenCom told or at least US officials told NBC that since February 28th, Iran has fired at least 9,000 missiles and drones uh at US assets.

Now, Colonel Wilkerson, before this war started, we were told that Iran didn't have that much left. they were uh you know that these the the 12-day war depleted them that the strikes that the United States had carried out during Operation Epic Fury depleted the missile stock piles and yet 9,000 in counting and Iran doesn't even seem like it is phased. Actually, Professor Muhammad Randi comes on this show often and says they're still using old models and I think Wall Street Journal confirmed that saying that they have been refurbishing old uh models of missiles uh and are still going through those. So that this is this could go on for quite a long time.

Carl, your thoughts? Yeah, Larry can probably speak this better than I, but I'm hearing from the few contacts I have left in the intelligence community, most of whom admittedly are retired now. um that the estimate at the agency is 60% of their inventory is still viable. So I mean they've shot 40% so just do the numbers that they've shot and then you know what the 60% is if that's valid and I suspect it's close.

I I I do and I I also hear that that's what un unfortunately in in many cases that Netanyahu is being told by his own intelligence that they have quite a bit left at least a half plus of what was estimated to be before and further I'm being told by people who seem to know a lot more than I do that they're building more underground. Yeah, that's the key. That's the key, right? Yeah.

Well, yeah, Larry, your thoughts? No, no, and that that was exactly the point I was going to make that the the problem the United States and and Western intelligence has had in assessing what Iran's actual missile capability is is, it's all underground. So unless you've got a human source and CIA has been terrible at human sources and even Israel has well well whatever success they have I don't think they've been able to get anybody effectively underground to see what's going on in these they call them missile cities but they it's not just confined to to ballistic missiles. They've got they got drones.

Uh they've got boats. Uh they've got mines. " And they have been. So right now, whatever they have expended, they're still able to continue the construction underground.

the fabrication of these missiles because their supply market is intact. The supply chain particularly with China is not at all in jeopardy and they have the technical skill to do it. They had the raw materials. So um that's why I think they can continue this for quite some time and and we don't even have a good you know we hear about the missile launch.

We we're told it's ballistic missiles but we've seen no proof of it. We have seen one impact. Uh we saw some Patriots being fired but no evidence of actual interception. So we don't know were these old missiles that Iran was firing to continue to drain US air defense systems and so then hit them with something stronger.

Don't know but you know kinds of questions that ought to be asked. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it it it appears uh that whatever the answer to those questions, Larry, uh these strikes are are very are very calculated.

They're strategic. They're not reactive. And I think last night showed that very clearly. And that's why many are calling it a surprise attack, Colonel Wilkerson, because no one expected Iran to during this lull uh to uh take such a measure despite the fact that Iran said that the war has not ended.

It considers the blockade a war. And hell, you had that 49 minutesmeeting that Trump and Netanyahu had on the sidelines of uh Lindsey Graham's funeral being called an intel uh uh you know sharing meeting where Netanyahu was bringing intel that would support the war effort which to Iran signals well the war is still very much on. So uh Colonel Wilkerson, your thoughts on this? Would would you believe BB Netanyahu if he gave you any intelligence on Iran?

Well, he wasn't he collecting intelligence on the Oval Office. [laughter] Wasn't there a story about him? They do a better job with that than with elsewhere. Um, you know, I I think Larry's right.

I I think we're almost at our wits end. I think the Iranians know that. I was just thinking as as Larry was talking about u uh the Iranians and how their disposition logistically is that one railroad comes right in from that mountain town to the east of Thrron into Thrron and of course it's only what 100 maybe 110 kilometers at the at the most or maybe it's nautical miles from the Caspian uh down to Tehran. Not that Thrron's a logistics center or anything, but just [clears throat] just to show you how much there is of capability logistics wise to keep Iran in the fight.

Um, and you know, anybody will tell you that wars aren't won by generals, they're won by logisticians. And in this case, Iran has an inexhaustible supply of things that it might need to include some of the things it might need to continue building on the ground, the ballistic missiles. I I'm told that they're pretty much self-contained, but uh I'm sure they need some things and those things are coming into them. So, if you're up against something like that, you're not going to beat it.

Not with what we've got left. And what we've got left, I say very, very sincerely, because what we've got left is not a lot. Uh, and what Israel's got left, I don't think, is a lot. Particularly if Iran decides and makes some real effort to strike them hard and fast and everywhere they can with everything they've got, Israel will virtually cease to exist.

Um, we're not talking about that much. BB doesn't talk about that much, but I think it must be at the back of his mind all the time. Which brings me back to my chief concern about Israel and about the region in general is somebody's going to use a nuclear weapon here. Yeah.

To what end, Larry, though? Uh what your your reaction to that? Why did they jump off the mountain? Why did they jump off the mountain when the Roman legion was down there?

[laughter] Yeah. No, the look, I think the ultimate determinant in this war going forward is it's going to be the economy. Yeah. And the the ramifications of the of the it's a global shortage of diesel and jet fuel now.

And that's until until the Persian Gulf is reopened, you're not going to fix that shortage. And the shortage is particularly acute throughout Asia. Why? Because there are really four geographic centers in the world that are design the refineries are built and designed to handle the sour crude or the heavy crude.

They're they're not it's not an interchangeable name but basically the refineries can handle both the sour and heavy crude. uh and those are along the Gulf Coast in the United States in in India uh in China and then in uh South Korea/Japan. That's it. And so it's not like they could take an alternative source of oil like um the sweet crude that it doesn't it doesn't fix it.

So they they need that sour crude which comes out of the Persian Gulf. And that with none of that, this diesel aviation fuel shortage will continue to grow and it's going to jack up costs around the world and it's going to create further supply problems. So at some point it's going to be the war will be unsustainable economically. I believe that's where it's ultimately going to head.

Yeah, I don't I don't disagree with that. where I think I think we're I think we're headed for that much more swiftly than Bessant or any of those people supposed to be monitoring these things too. Yeah. Yeah.

And then the question is and how because uh for Iran and it now a greater portion if not the entire axis of resistance uh there's a deep understanding that this is going to be a very long war and likely an ongoing war. And so how does Iran and the rest from Yemen to Iraq deal with uh pauses in this? because a pause is of course we've seen it with Ukraine, we've seen it with Iran. A pause is often used as an excuse to replenish and then go again.

Uh but now the problems on the US side is that replenishing seems to be a a yearslong uh uh you know uh endeavor rather than simply a matter of months or weeks. Your your thoughts? And that's what happens when as Norm Augustine who was then well he just been Loheed Martin's CEO as he said at that time 199192 I think it was uh if you get down to five contractors they're just going to charge you an arm and a leg for shitty products and punish you and laugh at you when you say you don't like it. That's where we are.

And so that's part of our problem. We couldn't make these things in two to three years if we tried hard. Yeah. Now, they would say they could and jin up to do it and all that crap, but they're not going to 247, three shifts a day.

Um, they're going to keep on doing what's necessary to pay their shareholders and themselves these millions of dollars. You know, Eisenhower just did a comparison between the CEOs of major American corporations, steel, automobile, and so forth, and the six biggest contractors, defense contractors, they double the take-home, they double the stock options, they triple other aspects of their remunerations. It's incredible what these guys make. Much of the defense budget goes to them.

it goes to them and the shareholders and others involved in the company whether it's RTX, Loheed, Martin, Boeing, Grumman, whatever. Um, so Larry's absolutely right. We couldn't replenish ourselves probably to the point where we could wage a major war for three freaking years. Yeah, Larry, I know you got only a minute.

Uh, so I'll uh final comments . No, it's logistics. Always logistics. Yeah, you know, every everything else is secondary.

If the logistics are a problem, then you can't win a war. And that's that's the bottom line for the United States. So, with that, I'll have to exit. All right, Larry, I'll see you again soon.

Thanks, guys. Later. Bye. And Wilson, we can close out.

Uh in just this last comment I wanted to ask you about you know uh Larry mentioned earlier in the program that there's a pilgrimage going on uh in Iraq right now to Iraq right now of uh um I believe uh to Carbala um for uh I don't know how to say this our Bayan it's the world a largest annual religious gathering and Saudi Arabia Colonel Wilkerson Saudi Arabia took part in strikes on Iraq during this time. I mean, maybe you can end it on this with the United States and of course likely with the United States at the head. Um, I am no longer a an ascriber of uh Saudi Arabia having really any sovereignty. Your thoughts uh Colonel Wilkerson on this?

Would you do that if you knew the volatility of such issues in the region and you had the most massive haj pilgrimage whatever you want to call it to Mecca in the world would you do that [laughter] and you've already had huge problems there with terrorist groups and such. Uh it it just doesn't make any sense. It really doesn't make any sense when you when you get to the religious overtones of this. That's how you really vow some of these people to do the vilest forms of terrorist acts like ash and so forth.

I wouldn't be doing that. Yeah. Well, uh workers and final comments as we clo close on the show and how we can understand this uh moment in time as the developments move quickly. I think we're in deep trouble.

I really do. Um deep trouble is an empire. Deep trouble is a democracy and a republic, which it's very questionable we are anymore. And deep trouble in terms of uh the three bodies of our legislated, if you will, constitutional government who all seem to be owned by the same group of people and all seem to be acting in ways that are enimical to our interests, security, and domestic.

Um I I don't know how we get out of it. I really don't. I hate to say that, but I don't know what the solution is. Yeah.

Well, keep on telling the truth. 59 minutesThat's what we'll be doing. And uh you know, keep on pushing people to change this uh very ugly dynamic that is only getting uglier politically in the United States. And of course, it's having huge ramifications worldwide.

Colonel Wilson, thanks so much for joining I want to make sure everybody knows that also Larry Johnson's sonar 21 and transition protocol YouTube channel is in the video description so you can support his work there. All the places support this channel from Patreon subsecure are in the video description too. m. Eastern time.

A bit of an earlier show. m. m. Cre European time.

Without further ado, we're going to head out together, Colonel Wilkerson and I. So, thanks so much for tuning in. m. Eastern time, July 30th.

Until then, take care. Bye-bye. Take care any sea.

Iran Strikes US Base In Jordan as Netanyahu Visits Washington
Reason2Resist with Dimitri Lascaris
Jul 29, 2026

On Friday July 24 - only hours after the price of Brent Crude hit $100/barrel for the first time in two months - Trump suddenly declared a 'pause' in his bombardment of Iran.

From that moment until yesterday (July 28), the US military refrained from bombing Iran, and the Iranian military refrained from striking U.S. military bases in West Asia.

Last night, however, as the war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu met with Trump in Washington, Iran's military attacked a U.S. airbase in Jordan. Hours later, the Saudi airforce and U.S. military launched deadly attacks against Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq.

Meanwhile, Iran and Yemen's Ansar Allah continue to block oil tankers in the Bab Al-Mandab and Hormuz Straits, and the price of oil is soaring again.

In this report, Dimitri Lascaris breaks down all the recent developments in the escalating war between the Resistance and the Epstein regime.

Transcript

Good day. This is Demetri Lceras coming to you from Montreal, Canada for Reason to Resist on July 29th, 2026. On Friday of last week, Donald Trump, the mad man in the White House, unilaterally declared a pause, as he put it, in the US criminal bombardment of Iran. The so-called pause was nothing but another uh chapter in this interminable peace kabuki theater that we have been subjected to since Trump returned to the White House in January of last year.

Yesterday, Iran put a merciful end to this absurd Kabuki theater by attacking a US military base in Jordan. The pause is now officially dead. In fact, it was never really alive to begin with. So, let's begin with uh this statement issued by Sentcom, that uh segment of the US military that's responsible for West Asia.

m. And I believe that that is Eastern time. The statement itself uh refers to Eastern time. m.

Eastern time yesterday, according to Sentcom, the IRGC forces launched multiple ballistic missiles from Iran, in an attempted surprise attack, I stress the words surprise attack on US forces based in the Middle East. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted. US forces remain vigilant and at a high state of readiness. Now, I'm going to come back to this notion of this being a surprise attack, but first I want to address the claim that all Iranian missiles were uh successfully uh struck down by the air defense systems of the United States military in or near Jordan.

Well, as I mentioned many times, uh, one of the leading uh, weapons experts in the United States, a former Pentagon adviser, former professor of, uh, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ted Postol, has repeatedly uh, dismissed scornfully the idea that the Patriot air defense systems, which are really the backbone of the US military's air defense systems, is capable of bringing down uh, ballistic missiles in significant numbers. numbers. Now, I think this is such an important point because it reveals the extraordinary vulnerability of uh the Arab Gulf autotocracies to and their oil infrastructure to ballistic missile attacks from the resistance. And so, I think this is such an important point that I've actually uh I'm going to show you an extract from one of the interviews in which Professor Postal explains his position.

This was an interview he did on Daniel Davis's deep dive about uh a month ago, and it's a two-minute segment, but it's eminently worth listening to. What I want to talk about today is the overwhelming I mean it's unambiguous evidence that the performance of the Patriot Pack 3, the more modernized version of the Patriot Interceptor uh is uh close to uh two or 3% intercept rate. It's not 90%. It's not even close.

Let's just pause there. He says unambiguous evidence. So he's not making a wild guess here. This is his considered professional conclusion based on abundance of evidence that it's not even 3% of ballistic missiles being taken down by the Patriot.

Listen to what else Professor Posttol has to say. Incidentally, we had uh an experience similar to this during the Gulf War of 1991. in during the Gulf War of 1991, uh the Army Air Defense Artillery and 4 minutesthe um the the contractor who built Patriot, the Rathon Company, were telling the American public that the intercept rate of Patriot in the Gulf War of 1991 was near 96%. Now, this campaign of of misleading information, or I'll call it lying, because they had to know.

They knew what they were doing. Um, this campaign of misleading information even misled the Secretary of Defense, Dick Cheney, and the President of the United States, George HW Bush, into believing that Patriot was actually performing in the Gulf War of 1991. They both learned that um this was not the case when uh they had a meeting with the foreign uh uh the foreign defense the the defense minister of Israel who told them in a meeting I think it was February of 92 that um the the patriot was not performing at all and they were shocked. That is how fraudulent Rathon is.

They lied not only to the public. They lied to the president of the United States and to the secretary of war at the time or the so-called defense minister, the psychopath Dick Cheney. They're even lying to those war criminals about the capabilities of the Patriot system. You think they ain't going to lie to you?

That's exactly what they've been doing. So, uh, this raises the question, were any of these, uh, ballistic missiles likely to have been struck down? The ones that were shot, uh, yesterday evening Iran time at the Jordanian, uh, the US military base in Jordan. Well, uh, as far as we know, the number of 6 minutesmissiles that were shot were at least three.

Uh, and here's a video that was taken of the launch or just after the launch. You can see there are it appears three uh uh lights in the sky ascending upwards. Let's watch that again. One, two in the center.

And then there's a third one on the left in the lower corner now. So that that appears uh to be uh the minimum of uh the number of ballistic missiles that were fired by Iran at the US military base in Jordan yesterday. So, if you're going by the just the odds, if the Patriot system generally uh takes down less than 3% of uh ballistic missiles, you would expect that none of these ballistic missiles was taken down. Uh and that perhaps if they were lucky, uh the American uh military managed to shoot down one of them.

It's extremely unlikely given the poor performance uh that all three of the Patriot uh documented over decades that uh all three of these ballistic missile missiles were shot down or even two of them were shot down. Now um it does appear uh that at least one of them got through. Uh this is an image of uh the aftermath of a hit last night on that US military base in Jordan. And you can see there a plume a plume of smoke.

Uh I don't know from what distance uh that uh uh photograph was taken, but if it was far away, then that's obviously a sizable uh plume of smoke. Now, in any case, this all has caused uh Donald Trump to completely blow his stack. Predictably, uh, he threw a few fbombs at, uh, one of the talking heads over at Fox News. Back on US forces overnight in Jordan.

" He went on to say, "We'll be hitting them hard. " So clearly, the United States is going to respond to what the president described as a surprise attack. He says US forces had just minutes to shoot down these incoming Iranian ballistic missiles. The president says he has reviewed video of the shootown and it was US forces conducting this operation to defend that area.

He said it was real time they were calling out coordinates and ensuring that none of this incoming Iranian fire got through. I also asked the president about those US and Saudi um if he's got video of the ballistic missiles being shot down. Why hasn't Sentcom shared that video with us? Uh, that's cuz they didn't shoot down the ballistic missile.

Certainly not all of them. Uh, they would be only too happy, I would think, to show us the video and they could, you know, redact images if they needed for some security reasons. But give us some evidence that you actually shot them all down, you pathological liar. But this notion that, you know, this is a surprise attack.

Oh, shock and horror. They only had minutes to prepare for the strike. As if what? the Iranians have an an obligation to give them advanced warning that they're going to hit them.

Now, in so far as this was a surprise attack, this claim, uh, who has engaged in this kind of treacherous and perfidious behavior more than anybody else? Well, of course, it's Donald Trump, you know, pretending to be negotiating with the Iranians in June of last year when uh they launched the 12-day war uh in violation of the UN charter in Iran. again in February of this year pretending to negotiating with Iran and then launching the Ramadan war and slaughtering uh you know Iranian political and military leaders including the supreme leader and his 14-month-old granddaughter and his daughter. This man is going to complain about surprise attacks.

But here's the thing, folks. This shouldn't have been a surprise at all. Why do I say that? Because just before I launched these missiles, it issued this warning.

The headquarters of the IRGC stated, "The United States has continued its hostile actions and efforts to fuel instability in the region while attempting to impose an illegal naval blockade on Iran. I stress again an illegal naval blockade on Iran. This blockade remained in place after the so-called pause began on f. And it is an act of war.

It's illegal. It's designed to do immense harm to innocent Iranians. and it is an act of war. So the statement went on and said, "Over the past three days, it has it being the US uh military has threatened Iranian commercial ships, boats, and oil tankers operating in our country's territorial and coastal waters.

We warned that this American action constitutes an expansion of the war in the region. As the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have already demonstrated on the battlefield, they will not leave any threat or hostile act by the terrorist US military unanswered and will respond accordingly. Uh, so you 11 minutescould take your claim of having been surprised and stick it where the sun don't shine, Mr. Trump.

Now, the Saudis, uh, the Saudis, uh, and the US in the interim have decided to expand this war even more, uh, throughout the region. Last night, US and Saudi forces launched murderous attacks against the popular mobilization forces in Iraq. m. So this would have been about uh 2 to three hours after the uh attack by Iran on the US military base in Jordan.

And the statement uh of Sentcom issued at that time said that US Central Command and Saudi Arabian armed forces conducted precision strikes in Iraq July 28th against Iran aligned terrorists that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps directed to attack US forces in a Saudi energy infrastructure. I'll come back to that claim in a second. US and Saudi fighter aircraft struck multiple terrorist logistics and weapon sites across eastern Iraq in a strong response to over 30 IRGC directed aerial drone attacks in the last . The unwarranted attacks against US forces were not successful.

All of this is lies of course. I mean the US and the Saudis and the Israelis uh they are the terrorists here. They are the ones who target uh children. They're mass murdering children all over the region.

Um and you know they are the ones who are acting without uh justification for their military aggression. Uh they are the ones who are in violation of the United Nations charter charter and a broad range of uh legal instruments particularly pertaining to human rights. And then the statement uh continues uh from February through April 2026 there were more than 600 attempted attacks on US citizens and facilities by Iran aligned terrorist militias in Iraq. Uh, excuse me.

The Americans are illegally occupying the country after having illegally invaded it and uh caused the deaths of over a million innocent Iraqis over the past two decades. Uh, and uh, and therefore all of this of course is a stinking pile of crap. The one piece of truth in it is that in fact they did attack Iraq last night and caused uh, extensive uh, injury and damage. Uh, I'll come back to that in just one second.

uh in so far as the claim that Iraqi forces struck Saudi energy infrastructure which you can see here in the first uh paragraph of this sententcom statement. The Iraqi resistance denied this before uh the Saudis in the US military launched these attacks on Iraq within the past . And here you can see the denial. This was published on Fotus Resistance Channel on the 26th of July.

The Iraqi resistance denies the accusations by 14 minutesSaudi Arabia regarding the drone attack on Aramco facilities this morning. This is a reference to the massive uh uh crude processing plant in eastern Saudi Arabia called akai. Uh this is near the Persian Gulf coastline uh and Kataran Bahin. Uh it it is in fact the case that huge damage was done to that facility, but the Iraqi resistance denied from the outset.

The Saudi allegation that they were behind it. And um the statement by the uh uh the uh Iraqi resistance goes on to say that the fabrications are nothing more than an attempt to justify their inability to respond to the devastating Yemeni attacks that have targeted the depths of their infrastructure out of fear of the nature of the next Yemeni response. So they're not explicitly saying this, but this seems to imply uh the Iraqi resistance uh denial that uh perhaps it was Ansadalah that was behind this attack. And Ansalah has not been shy whatsoever of uh taking credit for uh its very effective attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure.

Now, after today's murderous attack uh which reportedly uh killed at least 20 persons and injured dozens of others, the Iraqi resistance uh published uh photos of some of the martyrs. At this point, uh there were 10 persons known to have been killed and you can see them up on the uh the screen. Uh judging from their attire, these were mostly if not all uh members uh active members of the uh popular mobilization forces in Iraq. The Saudi US attacks uh are said to have struck uh popular mobilization force headquarters in the provinces of Baghdad, Wasit, Ninevea, Bazra, Kirkuk, Karbala, and Diala causing varying degrees of material damage to a number of headquarters vehicles and military equipment.

And we also have uh a video of uh the aftermath of uh some of those strikes. And here's that video. Hello. Now, as you can imagine, the statement of the popular mobilization forces uh in response to these attacks is a rather harsh one.

I think uh it uh it merits a closer inspection. The statement begins uh the Islamic resistance Harakat al-Nu Shaba uh the forces of global arrogance and subservience represented by the brutal American occupation the mercenary Saudi coalition once again revealed their true face and bloodstained doctrine of treachery violating every principle of sovereignty and national dignity. At dawn today, the hands of treachery and aggression extended to target the heart of Iraq's peaceful cities with aircraft and missiles in a blatant act of aggression that leaves no doubt that this suspicious alliance recognizes neither sovereignty nor agreements, but desperately seeks to subjugate the proud Iraqi people who have defeated the tyrants of the earth. And then they issue uh the resistance five demands addressed uh at least in part to the Iraqi national government.

First, expel the occupier and eradicate collaboration. The continued presence of US occupation bases and facilities on Iraqi soil has become a grave threat to the country's security and stability. Second, end all forms of cooperation with the criminal Saudi regime, which has proven itself to be the head of the serpent and a financeier of terrorism against Iraq and 18 minutesits people. Third, we call on the Iraqi government to immediately break its silence and not limit itself to statements of condemnation which only encourage the aggressor and embolden further escalation.

Fourth, we demand the immediate acquisition of advanced air defense systems to protect the country's sovereignty and airspace and that all those responsible for leaving Iraq skies exposed to the will of the aggressors be held accountable. And finally, we in Harakat al-Nujaba will not allow the tyrants of Washington and the Arabs of Saudi Arabia to violate Iraqi soil without paying a heavy price from their interests and security. And I think it is a virtual certainty uh that uh the Iraqi resistance is going to inflict serious blows upon the murderous Saudi autotocracy uh which has shown itself to be extremely vulnerable. certainly its energy infrastructure and in fact the US military bases even the US embassy in Riyad the CIA section of that embassy have been struck with drones and missiles.

So uh they are literally uh it seems to me the Saudi autotocracy in the process of potentially committing suicide. Uh but that's what happens when you're nothing but a vicious corrupt vassel of Washington. you act in ways that are profoundly contrary uh to the interests of the very people you claim to represent. Uh one other party note I want to mention here before I leave the subject of uh Iraq is that uh a comrade of mine by the name of Hussein Bud who uh leads uh one of the organizations in Iraq uh that is pro- resistance.

He himself is not a militant. Uh he spent a lot of years in the US. He then traveled back uh to Iraq uh some time ago and when I was in Baghdad in 2024, I met him and he acted as my guide as I reported from Baghdad for reason to resist. Uh well, we learned uh within the past and I that Hussein has been arrested by the Iraqi government.

Apparently, he is accused of having issued some kind of a threat against the Iraqi prime minister. Uh I'm not aware of any evidence to support that claim. Uh and this could just be part of a uh a broad campaign by uh you know an Iraqi government that has been far too collaborative with the United States aggressor uh to suppress uh the resistance forces in Saudi in Iraq. But in any event, we will continue to follow uh the news about Hussein Bahud's uh incarceration and we'll share it with you as we obtain it.

On a final note with respect to Iraq, it appears uh that uh the Iraqis have successfully taken down an American drone over the Almha area in northern Babylon province. Unconfirmed footage circulating online shows the wreckage of 21 minuteswhat is believed to be an MQ9 Reaper. Now, in addition, Iranian forces continue to target hostile Kurdish separatist forces in northern Iraq uh near the Iraqi city of Arabil. Uh here is a video unconfirmed of u a strike on Arabil by Iranian forces last night.

Now, there's also a video uh circulating of uh the aftermath of apparently that strike. And uh as you listen to this uh you'll hear secondary explosions suggesting that what the Iranians hit there was an ammunition depot. In addition, the IRGC just published a video of missile launches uh it refers to as the Sahara operation and uh it describes this as part of the IRGC's Nasser 2 operation against US air bases and US Central Command Center in Jordan. Apparently, this this missiles, as best as I can tell, were launched uh after the uh yesterday's launch of missiles at Jordan and after the Saudi and American attacks on Iraq.

And here is a video of uh that launch. As you can see, this uh particular round uh appears to consist of at least uh two ballistic missile launches by the RI IRGC. This takes us uh to uh the question of what is happening in the straight of Hormuz. And uh the short answer is Iran's military continues to throttle traffic through that allimportant strait.

And here you can see a statement issued in the past by the IRGC announcing that three oil tankers ignoring war warnings by Iran were struck and brought to a halt. Also uh they mention here that they targeted a US air base and central military command center in Jordan with several ballistic missiles. An image shows a likely impact at the Muafak Alti air base. Uh that's the image in the upper leftand corner uh which we've already uh shared with you.

And u in the past seven days uh the uh shipping intelligence firm Kepler estimates that a mere 2 million barrels uh of oil exited the straight of Hormuz. a total of uh 15 tankers exited with four of them being related to Iran. So that would have been over the course of seven days. You're talking about an average of less than two tankers per day.

Uh the pre-war level of traffic was around 130 to 140 vessels going through the straight of Hormuz every day. And uh here by the way is uh some imagery published by Kepler showing how little traffic is currently passing through the straight. And you can see uh there is a collection of green and red dots uh in the upper half. Those are vessels that are basically anchored uh off of the uh Iranian port city of Bandar Abas.

And uh the mo the vast majority of them are not moving. And to the extent there's any traffic going through the straight of Hormuz, you can see here that it's happening closer to uh the Iranian coastline. So this would be the authorized lane which the IRGC has set up. And there's almost nothing going along the uh coastline of Oman, which is the uh lane that the United States tried to open up uh and has uh attempted to uh facilitate uh with uh military uh intervention.

So, I'm going to show you this once again. You can see there's virtually nothing happening there uh along the coastline of Oman. Now let's turn to the war between Yemen's Ansadalah and the brutal Saudi autotocracy. First of all, uh this is my daily reminder that the Saudi dictator had a bromance with the notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

And there you can see a photograph that was recovered from Epstein's uh opulent mansion in Manhattan uh showing uh him and the so-called crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bill Solomon, yucking it up. Uh Solomon again putting his arm around notorious pedophile who's smiling broadly uh holding on to Epstein for dear life. That is the nature of uh the Saudi beast, my friends. Let us never forget that as this uh extraordinarily dangerous and destructive war unfolds.

Uh the Saudi autotocracy is at the core of this fight and I believe all indications are that it is entirely compliant with the wishes of Washington which seeks to destroy not only Iran but any and all forms of resistance to US hijgemony in the region. Now, a few days ago, we showed unconfirmed video of an apparent Yemeni missile strike on the Saudi Red Sea port of Yanbu. This is a very important port uh during the current war because uh there is a pipeline running from eastern Saudi Arabia, I'm sorry, yes, eastern Saudi Arabia to the Red Sea coastline uh in western Saudi Arabia. And that pipeline ends in Yanbu.

And through that pipeline and from the port of Yamboo, Saudis have managed to uh export millions of barrels of oil per day during the course of this war, even when Iran was being precluded from exporting any of its oil by maritime transportation. Now what was getting out of Yanbu although significant was much less than what Saudi Arabia was exporting uh during uh the pre-war period but nonetheless it was enough to significantly alleviate the crisis in the global oil market. uh if in fact Yanbu was hit and if that has compromised uh Saudi Arabia's ability to uh export oil through the port of Yanbu, then that is going to uh significantly worsen the already uh uh extremely dangerous oil crisis in which we find ourselves. As it turns out, uh this unconfirmed video that we showed a couple of days ago, uh it has now been confirmed by satellite footage that in fact Yanbu was struck.

And uh here, let me show you one of those satellite images. Right here you can see before and after photo of uh a significant part of the Yanboo uh oil uh infrastructure uh being wiped out by uh what app apparently was a Yemeni missile strike. The Saudi autotocracy has now revealed that it has uh shut down the facility at Jazan. That would be the state-of-the-art refinery there.

and uh it's unclear when if ever uh that facility will be back online and operating at full capacity. In addition, Ansadala continues to strike Saudi tankers in the Red Sea. Uh for example, it reported yesterday uh that Yemeni armed forces carried out a military operation targeting the Saudi oil tanker 30 minutesNCC Gazal for violating the maritime navigation ban imposed on the Saudi enemy and disregarding warning calls. The vessel was targeted with several ballistic missiles and was forced by the grace of Allah to retreat and turn back.

The Yemen Yemeni armed forces affirmed that they will continue enforcing the maritime blockade against the Saudi enemy under the equation of blockade for blockade and comprehensive escalation for comprehensive escalation. What are they referring here uh to when they say uh blockade for blockade? Well, they're referring uh of course to the uh criminal genocidal blockade led by Saudi Arabia on Yemen for over a decade which has caused the deaths in all likelihood of hundreds of thousands of innocent Yemenes. Uh the uh the Ansarala forces are fed up with this blockade.

They're not only having to deal with that blockade, of course, but they were attacked uh by Saudi Arabia several times in the past uh two or three weeks. 31 minutesAnd uh they are saying that unless and until uh the Saudis lift that uh decadesl long uh blockade or that more than decadel long blockade, they are going to continue to uh blockade Saudi ships in the uh Babal Mandab straight from the Red Sea into the Gulf of Aiden and will continue to target uh Saudi oil infrastructure which as we can readily see is extremely vulnerable to attacks. by the resistance. And you'll see here I put up on the screen uh another statement put out today by uh the Ansaralah forces.

And they say they're ready to intensify the conflict with Saudi Arabia. Muhammad al- Al al-Huthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen says as the battle drags on, the Yemeni people and their armed forces will become stronger and more advanced at all field and tactical levels. The Yemeni officials stated today the balance of power has changed in favor of the resistance and the enemies have no destiny but decisive defeat and they will not and if they do not learn from time in history Yemen will teach them a great lesson. Douloola al- Shami a member of the Sana government and a prominent member of the Ansurala movement's political bureau in his turn announced in a speech to the same effect that Yemen is ready for any action to fight the enemy and break the siege.

So the only thing that is going to stop uh the attacks on Saudi Arabia and the blockade on Saudi shipping is a lifting of this genocidal siege on uh Yemen. And so far there's no indication that uh Jeffrey Epstein's bosom bosom buddy, the so-called crown prince is willing to uh finally lift that criminal uh siege of Yemen. Now, as one would expect, uh this has caused the price of oil to spike again. com just before I began this video.

Uh that would have been at around noon today, July 29th. And at that point 33 minutesin time, uh the price of Brent crude had gone up 8% uh since the beginning of trading this morning, pushing it back up to the level of almost $91 US per barrel. Uh it was just above $100 per barrel on Thursday of last week. Uh but when on Friday Donald Trump announced his so-called pause, this fraudulent pause, the uh price of Brent coup plummeted and it got down to as low as $83 a barrel yesterday.

Even though all of this vital energy infrastructure is going up in smoke in West Asia and even though uh there are uh huge blockages of tanker traffic through the Babal Mandab strait and the straight of Hormuz uh and even though uh global oil inventories are continuing to be depleted and in fact uh the most recent report about the strategic petroleum reserve in the United States is that it drew down during the past week another three million barrels. uh putting it at its lowest level since March 1983, shortly after the strategic petroleum reserve was established. So uh by all indications, the price of oil should be way over $100. It's extraordinarily suspicious that it is uh only at the $91 level now.

Uh but sooner or later uh the chickens are going to come home to roost and the price of oil is going to uh reflect the physical reality in the oil markets. and the physical reality is increasingly dire. Now, with that, I'd like to turn briefly to the subject of Lebanon. With all the drama in the uh Persian Gulf, uh the genocide in Palestine and Lebanon has uh seated from public view to a degree and um I suppose that's understandable given that the uh oil crisis threatens to destroy the entire global economy.

But nonetheless, these are horrific crimes being carried out to which we must continue to pay attention. And uh I just want to highlight uh at this particular moment that the Lebanese resistance continues to resist Israeli aggression in South Lebanon. There have been multiple reports during the past several days, some of them backed up by photographic evidence of Israeli artillery strikes on uh targets in southern Lebanon. And uh the uh Lebanese resistance retaliated uh to some of these strikes by destroying uh what is reportedly a D9 Israeli military bulldozer in South Lebanon.

And here is a video of the aftermath of that strike which was carried out with a loitering FPV drone. Now, what you heard there, I believe, was another artillery strike. That sounds like an incoming artillery shell, which was fired undoubtedly by Israel. But in the uh distance, you can see that yellow glow.

Uh, and that reportedly is uh the wreckage of the D9 bulldozer that was struck by the resistance. This brings us finally to uh the war criminal Netanyahu's current and ongoing trip to Washington. Uh ostensibly he went to Washington to attend the funeral of that bloodthirsty wararmonger Lindsey Graham. Uh and so too did uh the Ukrainian kleptocrat Wimir Zalinski.

And of course Donald Trump was there. It was a cornucopia of war criminals and uh corrupt thieves. uh suitably I would say at the uh funeral of this uh bloodthirsty wararmonger. Uh one of the interesting aspects of this funeral by the way uh is that it was invitation only whereas uh as uh I have covered extensively here on reason to resist.

The funeral of the martyed supreme leader of Iran was open to the public for six of the seven days and tens of millions of people showed up. Uh I can assure you that uh the number of people who attended the funeral of Lindsey Graham was an infinitism infinitismally small fraction of those who showed up voluntarily uh to mourn uh the murder of Iran's martyed supreme leader. But another interesting detail about this funeral, you know, there was a lot of speculation about what actually killed Lindsey Graham. Some people wondered if he was killed uh in a Russian strike on a Ukrainian military-industrial facility that Graham visited shortly before his death.

Uh and uh I can't say whether the official version is correct or not. What I can tell you is that his funeral was a closed coffin funeral. Why didn't they uh allow uh the mourers uh to see the 38 minutesbody of the uh dead senator? Well, I'll leave you to speculate as to uh the reasons for that, but at the end of the day, uh I think there is good reason to be suspicious about the official version of uh Lindsey Graham's death.

Uh now, returning to the subject of Netanyahu, uh Netanyahu and Trump held meetings after the funeral and both of them claimed that the meeting went swimmingly. And here in fact, is a photograph that was published by the madman in the White House on Truth Social. And you can see both him and his fellow uh child murderer grinning from ear to ear uh in the opulent uh something or other room at the uh at the White House. Now, why wouldn't Netanyahu uh be swimmingly happy?

After all, the US is doing all the heavy lifting in the criminal war on Iran. And even Israeli officials like Smotri are bragging uh that uh it's the Americans who are paying the cost and taking all the casualties at this particular point in time. Something which should cause America firsters to be uh particularly irate iate I would think. Uh but all of this is likely to change very soon.

Uh part of the reason for that is that the Israeli minister of war, himself, a war criminal, Israel cats, uh revealed over the last uh that the United States has been using Israeli military bases, air bases to uh launch aerial attacks on Iran during the past two weeks and bombardment. And uh we're in the remarkable situation where the Israeli occupation army radio is now accusing, as you can see up here on the screen, the uh war criminal cats of violating military censorship regulations by revealing during an interview with Channel 14, that US aircraft had taken off from bases in Israel and carried out strikes in Iran in recent weeks. This information concerns a report that had been prohibited from publication in Israel over the past several weeks. Military censorship was later compelled to authorize its publication following the war minister's remarks.

It is important to note that under Israeli law, the only one authorized to approve the publication of classified information apart from the chief military sensor is the prime minister. In other words, the war minister has no authority to disclose information of this nature. Notice that there's no denial in here uh that what Kat said is true. Uh so effectively, Israeli occupation army radio is admitting at least implicitly uh that US uh the US air force has been using Israeli air bases during the past two weeks to launch these criminal attacks on Iran.

Well, it's not surprising that the Iranian military has reacted strongly to this. And here is a statement put out today by the R or 41 minutesyesterday I should say the IRGC after uh cats started flapping his gums in violation of military regulations. And the spokesperson of the IRGC is quoted as having said anyone in Israel who wants to stay alive should leave immediately. We are heading toward a prolonged war and its end will be very frightening.

We are fully prepared. This war will only end with the destruction of Israel. Now, since we're on the subject of Netanyahu's visit to uh Washington, I have to say a few words about uh these Western war criminals who are allowing Netanyahu's plane to fly through their airspace. They include the Greek prime minister Kiryako Smitzotakis.

Uh the leader of Italy, Georgia Maloney, uh the Netanyahu's plane traveled through their airspace. I believe it also traveled through French airspace. Uh yet another sin to add to the long uh litany of uh sins of Emanuel Macau. And of course, predictably, it also traveled through Canadian airspace.

This has been confirmed not only by uh you know sites, websites that monitor air traffic uh but also by the Canadian government. And in fact, the Canadian media uh was prepared on this occasion to challenge the government of Prime Minister Goldman Sachs, also known as Mark Carney, on its apparent decision to allow Netanyahu's airplane yet again to travel through Canadian airspace after he was indicted by the ICC. And here is an article uh published yesterday by the uh state broadcaster, the CBC, noting that uh Israel, according to its government, asked Canada for permission for Netanyahu to use Canadian airspace. And the article confirms that Netanyahu flew over eastern Canada for the third time, but the Carney government won't say if it let him do it.

And uh the body of the article reports that uh at the same at the the same spokesperson of the Canadian government declined to say whether the government of Canada had granted permission for Netanyahu to enter, suggesting that it was up to the leader of Israel to decide whether to use Canadian airspace. Quote, "Global Affairs Canada does not comment on which route a foreign state chooses to take. This is a lie. uh and it is not up to uh the uh war criminal prime minister of Israel whether he gets to fly through Canadian airspace.

In fact, that is preposterous. " And uh he notes uh he wrote a book in fact justice in conflict the effects of the international criminal court's interventions on ending wars in building peace. Uh and I uh did a little digging this morning after seeing this article because I was pretty sure that uh the Canadian government had barred Russian uh linked aircraft from using Canadian aerospace. And it took me just about a nancond that's all to find this.

This is a statement from uh NAVCAN which uh regulates uh aerial transportation in Canada uh back from uh 2022 when the invasion of Ukraine began. " This is just after the invasion began. Transport Canada requested that Nav Canada, the independent operator of Canada's air navigation system, issue a notice of airmen accordingly. " Now uh Russia's president at that point in time had not been indicted uh by the ICC.

That came later on. It did happen a lot faster than uh Karim Khan was willing to indict uh the Israeli war criminal. Even though uh Russia is not accused by any international tribunal or before international tribunal of committing genocide in Ukraine, it has had various allegations leveled against it, particularly by the Ukrainian and other western governments involving violations of international law. Uh but there's no credible allegation that Russia is committing genocide in Ukraine.

uh whereas uh it's very clear and has been for quite some time that uh Netanyahu is committing genocide in Palestine and this is something that even Israeli human rights organizations have uh have opined in addition to Western human rights organizations like Amnesty International and despite that fact the United the Canadian government on three separate occasions has not used its lawful authority to bar the entry of Netanyahu's uh airplane into Canadian airspace. Uh at the end of the day, Mark Carney is fully complicit in the uh crimes against humanity of Israel. Not just because he allows this uh this wararmonger, this this child murderer to travel through Canadian airspace, but also because he allows weapons and weapons components made in Canada to be sold directly or indirectly to Israel as it carries out a genocide and is also purchasing uh military equipment from Israel as it carries out a genocide and is also sharing intelligence with Israel and continues to confer economic benefits on Israel through the Canada Issrael Free Trade Agreement. And I could go on and on.

So, uh, yes, Mark Carney, I say to you, you are a war criminal and you should be hauled before an international tribunal and tried for your complicity in war crimes, you disgusting human being. Now that I've got that off my chest, I'll call it a day. And uh, thank you very much for listening. We will be back to you uh, tomorrow with more on the uh, unfolding crisis in West Asia.

Alastair Crooke discusses renewed US bombing of Iran, Iran retaliating by destroying three fighter jets in Jordan, and Trump's panic as the US runs out of military options.

Transcript

Welcome everyone. As you can see, I'm joined by Alaistair Crooke of Conflicts Forum Substack to break down the latest developments. First, we are talking last night's strikes. The United States said they bombed Iran in a heavier manner and Iran retaliated on Moaf Al-Stati air base in Jordan, saying that they destroyed three F-35 fighter jets as well as injuring and killing multiple US service members who were working on those jets, repairmen, and the like.

Now, here's the list of strikes by the United States. Lots of haimars fired from Kuwait on these various towns and cities like Abadan Avas and Keshum Island. There were two civilians who were killed, two parents with their children now orphaned uh at Cha Tangui neighborhood in Keshum. Now, Donald Trump does not seem to be satisfied with the results of the Iran war.

In a recent meeting with top US defense officials, he was exasperating, cursing, and panicking over the Iran war strategy with US officials saying that there are very few options left on the table worth pursuing. Also, uh, top Jordanian figures, legal, political, and otherwise, have signed an open letter saying that US forces should withdraw from Jordan lest the country be drawn into a catastrophic war on all levels, economic, political, and otherwise. Many might say, Alistister, that this has already occurred. Your reaction to the developments uh at hand here, Alistister?

It appears the war is not only escalating but it's also carrying now with it many fronts and I wonder if you could comment on this uh given developments last night and uh in recent days.

Uh well on the the attacks last night I think they reflect pretty clearly the uh that the United States does not have a clear objective and this is what his team have been saying officials in the US we always have to be careful of this because we never know whether this is a deceit or if it's real but in the fact that it's very very basic and they're saying you Well, what is the um what is the objective? Is it to destroy the nuclear power possibilities? Is it to destroy the ballistic missile?

Um what is the purpose of this attacks? Because there seem to be various things that have been signaled. Is it to to strike at hormuz? All of these things are possibilities, but there you there is not they don't if you like coordinate into a single target.

They're all diverse targets and if you do one, you can't do the other and so on. Um I think the bottom line is um militarily the United States is defeated. It just it can do what we saw last night. Um but essentially um it hasn't got the means to bring about uh the sort of change in posture in Iran that Trump has been looking for and that this is deeply frustrating to Trump uh and makes him very angry.

As you said, there was probably quite a testy meeting with his team because he feels frustrated that, you know, there isn't some answer. Um, but I think this is I mean, let me just put it like this. You know, this is where it is. I mean there are options, but none of them are really working.

the option to go on bombing around Hormuz and the sort of bombs that were done last night. Um the admiral in charge of SenCom has said pretty clearly, you know, this isn't achieving anything. We're just wasting our resources doing these operations. We're not achieving anything.

um with respect to attacking the missile program. I mean you know they have been bombing and bombing these mountain reducts. Some of them um I think Islaba has been bombed 45 times by the United States and the bombs just bounce off and the Iranians start firing within half an hour from the tunnels um in the mountain through um openings. Um and so that is achieving really very nothing um literally nothing.

And so what else? attacking pickaxe mountain. Well, that I just think he has gone into the realm of fantasy. Pickaxe is a granite mountain, solid granite, big mountain.

And the um elements, the Iranian infrastructure is located a thousand mters down, thousand meters down. And the only way they could get it and they say, "Oh, yes, it's technically possible. " Um, that would be then vertically driven further and further right down a thousand meters and then we could neatly drop a tactical nuclear weapon down there. Come on.

you know, this is a steep granite slope. What happens when you drop a bomb on it? It bounces off. Um, you know, you're not going to get a neat, tight, round sort of hole that you could drop a bomb in in anyway.

I mean, you know, the the Iranians have made pickaxe pretty well bombroof. It is bombroof. So, I mean, first of all, there are just no good targets. Okay.

Militarily they haven't got much choice. So what is that to try and do? Well, again the the the hope was that now Trump could suddenly switch back and pivot back to theou and say they're begging for a ceasefire. They're asking for us to go back to theou.

That was all lies. Again, of course, Iran are not begging him to go back to it. In fact, they're saying the opposite. They're saying, "No, we're not going back into this game of ceasefires.

That's why we had what we had last night. This is Iran um if you like dictating and imposing um their control over the temper over the shape of the war and not accepting that Trump can dictate the term terms of it and really they're not looking to come back um at all. I mean um you know I I read of course the famous Barack Ravid every Monday or so comes back and says you know there's a new a new deal. I mean the mediators are saying Iran's longing for a deal.

It's just not true. The mediators that's what they do but it's not true. So there isn't really any any solution for Trump. And he's finding this extremely frustrating.

He's tried to put pressure on other means. And this is where I come to your second point because you talked about you know the attacks last night. Um but actually that wasn't the significant thing that happened in these days. the this was really just a a side.

What has really been significant is what happened with Saudi Arabia and the consequent um reaction of Saudi Arabia and the United States. This is vastly more significant to the world economy even than Hormuz because what we've had and [clears throat] of course it's sort of disputed about who was responsible but both ends of Saudis east west pipeline have been destroyed. um the one on the Red Sea has been completely destroyed and the one um on the other side of Saudi Arabia that linked into it, the pumping station has [clears throat] been uh destroyed. Um and that is I mean this is a large amount of of of of oil um that is now offline to the west.

Now who is responsible? Well, it seems like the the Yemenes, the Houthies, Ansala may have been um responsible for at least the one on the Red Sea, the attack on the refinery. And it wasn't just any refinery. This is the refinery for Saudi Arabia, Aramco.

It is the all singing, all dancing refinery that was supposed to be the most modern in the world that can do anything. You know, we've been fed from the sort of the Russian Ukrainian conflict, which is, you know, every night or so a refinery is hit and then within a few hours it's back into operation. This is not like this. this refinery has been in Trump's words obliterated.

Um so it's it's a major major change. Now what Saudi is saying um is that the um attacks on the pipeline and the refineries were done by Iraqi militia, the Hashabi. Um and they denied it. But that prompted America and Saudi Arabia jointly to attack six cities um in Iraq um killing um many of the militia and also it seems to have been an attack on the procession which marks the end of 40 days morning the Abain that where pilgrims walk literally walk all the way in this temperature uh to Kala.

I've seen them. I mean, it's incredible. They just come all the way from Iran, from Iraq, and they walk all the way um to Kerbala to go to the Hussein shrine um in the mosque. So um the um the Saudis say these people were responsible.

America says it was done with the consent of the Iraqi government. I'm not sure if that is true or not. I would be rather surprised if it was so. Um, but what that has done, this attack on the Hashad is open another front in the war.

So, we already had the fronts being open. one front was the war between Yemen and Saudi Arabia because the Yemenes have said I mean could say the Yemenes but I should say and Salah more correctly have said we are imposing a siege for siege on Saudi Arabia. There has been a Saudi siege of Yemen on their airports and their ports um for about 12 years now. as a sort of ceasefire.

But not long ago um an Iranian plane was going to land Sana to take um a delegation of the Houthies to the funeral um uh commemorations taking place in Iran and the Saudis bombed the airport so that the plane could not land. plane ultimately landed at the airport to but for the Yemen the Yemenes for the Ansala that was it it's over the ceasefire tentative as it was is finished and they declared war on Saudi Arabia on its ports and its apples and they are in um if you like imposing a blockade on the Red Sea of Saudi vessels and Saudi vessels tankers are being attacked and set on fire. Um, so it is blocking off if you like the Red Sea in addition. But that's only part of the story because the other part is um the hash a hash a shi who were injured including four IGC trainers that were were with and you know the language in the west you know the rather sort of condescending language in the west regards um the hashad as Iranian proxies.

I mean, you know, they're just sort of like those Chinese humanoard robots. You know, you send them an order and they go and do it. It's not like that at all. I have met the Hashad.

I met them actually in Kerba. They are a very impressive people and they are not Iranian stooges Washington. They are not stooges of Iran. These are fiercely nationalistic Iraqis [laughter] and yes their interests and those of Iran coincide quite often.

They are Shia and Iran of course is hia. Uh and so they do have interests that coincide but to paint them as somehow sort of you know robotic proxies of Iran is totally to misunderstand the situation again. And so um they have promised um that there [clears throat] will be a reaction. Now Washington is thinking oh well you see there's no reaction.

No there is no reaction until Abayain is finished. They weren't attacked during that but I think the albai is finished today or tomorrow. I'm not sure. You'll see an attack from the Hasha.

They won't let this pass. And the the there's again, you know, a a a really major misunderstanding of the region, I think, intelligence failure to to to to really grasp. I mean, you know, I know that this was not understood at the time of the Iraq war, but Iraq is a majority she country, maybe 60% um Shia. The rest is a mix between Kurds and Sunnis, maybe 20 25%.

But the shei are a very powerful majority. And um these are the people that also followed the supreme leader of Iran as their maj as their source of emulation, as their spiritual leader. And so they are very angry. And the evidence of that was in front of the West.

If only they had chosen to look because look how many people turned out in Iraq to the funeral ceremonies. Um how many people turned out uh at Kbala? Um something like I think four or five million. Uh the same again.

Um uh when they went to um uh um when they went to the other cities, each of them three cities each four or five uh million people turned out um the whole the total was enormous. This was a huge sign of the the strength of the Iranian civilization. I don't call it P, I call it civilization. It's the civilizational model that that is um and the religious model of of of the she.

So I think there will be um certainly a a reaction and I think the government will find himself in an weakened position if it is really true that they gave the okay to America to attack um what they call in Iraq the PMU. Um the um [clears throat] these are the um protection units, military units which are part of the part of the officially part of the state in fact. So we will see. So that was a major front opening.

Iraq, Saudi, Saudi um and Iraq, America because America was also part of this and also then the front that opened um between Yemen and Saudi Arabia and all of these are quite serious. I mean it shows, you know, the fragility of the region and how when you open something like this, I mean, everything begins to catch fire. And so you have all of these sort of bushfires uh you know, slowly slowly igniting across the region, not just the ones I I mentioned, but also in Lebanon. The defense minister in Lebanon has announced with somewhat great glee how many how many houses he um that um the Israelis have completely destroyed whole villages destroyed as he underlies and 20 20,000 people being homeless and he says 20% um 70% of Gaza has been flattened has been completely leveled And at the same time again largely unnoticed in this equation um Bengier and Smotric two of the sort of more messianic elements of Netao's government both ministers um have made it plain uh that they would like to see um the settlers um in West bank uh go to war with the Palestinians to such a degree that it will force them um to um to to leave the to leave the the West Bank.

In other words, to be expelled from from the West Bank. So we will have that is also another friction point um that is um uh stirring up. And on top of that you have another one uh which is in Syria um where Trump has asked uh Shah um to intervene in Lebanon. Maybe at the borders of Lebanon there are a number of Shia villages to attack those.

It seems um the message we've heard is that Erdogan is um not opposed to this, but he's quite cautious about it. And what has happened? Well, of course, when they've said they might go and intervene and go into uh into into Lebanon to attack Hezbollah, which is what Trump wants, he wants his buller disarmed. Um what have the um what has been the response?

Well the well the Iraqis have said to the Syrian government Shah they said you if you go in to Lebanon we come into Syria. So it is going to be incursion for incursion. You incursion to incur into Lebanon we'll incur into Syria. So the whole thing is is slowly sort of catching fire.

And then there's the 22 minutesfinal rather bizarre part of this, if I could call it a sort of landscape of of smoking embers, which is um that um the announced attack by uh Ukraine on an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea, killing one Iranian sailor. after after an attack that the Americans did on a port um in the Caspian Sea in the the Iranian part of the Caspian Sea in their territorial waters. So, is that a coincidence or is this the start of something more? I mean, when you have the Americans attacking on the Caspian coast and then a ship attacked by Ukraine on the Caspian Sea, um maybe 23 minutesmaybe this is concerted.

Maybe this is coordinated with the US and another front is opening. Well, we'll have to see. Wow, Alistair, that was an incredible rundown of the uh regional and now global situation that is has been sparked by the US's in Israeli aggression on Iran and of course now Saudi getting into the mix.

I wanted to earlier your point on running out of targets.

Well, in this report on the F-35s being hit by Iran last night, according to Iran, it was a retaliation to a bunker buster attack on residential homes in Keshum Island which killed three civilians, not just two parents, but two children were orphaned from those strikes. And then I wanted to pull this up that the Saudi economy, so this is having impact already. uh Yemen's siege counter siege uh to Saudi Arabia's long-standing blockade as well as what's happening in the straight of form. 8% in the second quarter of this year.

So uh impact is being had Alistister but yet the markets the oil markets are not showing this impact necessarily only slight r raises uh in this. We know that you mentioned Brock Ravid we know uh our favorite unit 8200 reporter at Axios plays a bit of a role in the Trump administration's market manipulation. Uh but what do you make of this? Uh there seems to be I've been calling it like whistling past the graveyard, but it seems like eventually, you know, is going to hit the fan here.

And maybe any comments you have on this uh amid these developments, bunker buster attacks on on residential homes that seems quite while uh not surprising from US's standpoint and record of uh targeting and killing civilians in wars. it it but uh it also uh seems very desperate and uh indicative of where this war is. Oh, well, it's desperate, I think, in the sense that they just don't have any targets. And um and this is what, you know, the Pentagon is scraping around.

You know, they get orders to hit Iran hard, but I mean, there aren't any, as I've described, there aren't any suitable targets. And so, inevitably, they end up, you know, striking at civilian targets. That's always been the way of this American way of war or the Israeli way of war.

I remember in 2006 when I was in Lebanon during that war. I mean after a few days the Israelis ran out of targets. They spent they expended their target base and after that they started attacking civilian targets because they couldn't just stop as they saw it. They had to keep going. So, you know, then they just scramble around for things to attack.

So, I think um that element is is is very is is clear. Uh I think the the wider thing that we're looking about Saudi Arabia and the and the oil price and so on, I mean, is just bizarre. 7%. What you know at a time when you know Saudi Arabia was attacking Iraq and Saudi Arabia just had its two refineries destroyed.

Why would you know oil price go down instead of going up? Well, it went down because overnight a huge whale of shorts, that is people selling oil struck the market and so it dropped dramatically and then started rising and now it's risen much higher because people are beginning to assimilate the realities. Um, and I don't know. I mean, even the Financial Times is suggesting this is probably the or that this is a Treasury dumping um short um sales into the market to manipulate the market.

Having said that, I underline that is illegal in American law to manipulate markets. Subject to 25 year imprisonment, I think even uh as a maximum. Um but obviously huge manipulation in fact and I just want to go back because maybe people haven't seen the picture so clearly is that actually how Iran looks as this is that it is all about manipulating markets that this pattern that is so regular that you know that the conflict goes on during the week and then come Friday, you know, it gets worse and then on Monday, Trump announced they're longing for a deal and it goes down. So, you know, it's conflict ceasefire, conflict, ceasefire.

And this is why the Iranians have said, listen, you know, this has got nothing to do with the mou, nothing to do with negotiations with us. You're totally doing this for manipulating markets. So why should we bother? So that's why they attacked last night.

I mean, you know, we're not going to just go and play this game of going on ceasefire every time, especially when you then, you know, when when when when you've just attacked Hashad forces in in Iraq. So we hit back. That's how it is. It's all the access.

It's one. It's all or none. So if you attack any one of the axis, we will attack infrastructure and attack your forces in the Gulf. They're taking a tough position on this.

But this whole thing has been become not about, you know, theou or a deal likely deal coming out of this. It's all about, you know, preparing the ground for um, you know, Axios to come out with its regular stories that, oh yes, we're about to see an increase in conflict and then we're going to see a deal and then and managing the um, markets uh, that way and the markets seem to be ready to be managed in this way and I think the reason for this is because so much of these um, traders are now managed by algorithms, the familiar algorithms that rule our lives. And um I I think that what's happened is, you know, the the algorithms have been um primed in in given a variable that is because they read the headlines. These algorithms that can read news ticker tapes coming in in Wall Street deal.

Okay. Right. you know, we we sell or war, buy oil, and then they do this all automatically. And they then I imagined this is just speculative.

I think they've been programmed you know to say that well since America has sort of escalatory dominance in most wars you pay more attention you give a higher variable to what America says than to what the IRGC say. And therefore, you know, if Trump says something, you react. The algos go up and the markets respond accordingly buying or selling. And if the GC says something is largely ignored by the algos because that's not in there in in the settings on the algo.

So I mean this is just totally detached from reality totally. And one day that very shortly this is going to strike home and it's going to be much more painful because no one is ready for it. There's been no preparation, no psychological preparation.

What have you seen in America? Because I don't read much American press, but in Europe, there's nothing really nothing about the Saudi I mean barely mentioned um what's happened to Saudi Arabia, the lost Saudi Arabia is out of the market almost. Isn't that you know something that you know a little while ago top news? " And nothing. Just quiet.

They don't actually even mention here in Europe the the the the the prospect that very soon, you know, we're already at the edge of the inventory level of the strategic reserve and beyond it we're at sort of cavern collapsing level of the strategic reserve. We're at that level. Is it mentioned and you know that this actually will have consequences? Prices are going to go up.

Oil is probably I mean diesel is going to become scarce. Um kerosene is going to go up in price or vanish and you won't be able to fly so easily. Is it being discussed in Europe? Barely mentioned hardly at all.

Yeah, it's it's incredible. Well, I wanted to ask you about with regard especially to Saudi Arabia. What I find very striking and I saw uh a friend say this on X. They said something to the effect of u Iran's retaliation to US and Israeli aggression throughout this 5 month period hasn't killed a single um Muslim civilian in the region.

while Saudi Arabia with of course US support uh killed dozens of them uh in their strikes on Iraq uh which was also quite strange because uh the popular mobilization uh forces Alistister did not take credit for any of the strikes on Saudi oil facilities and on on the airport etc. So I think that's just a striking contrast. You know, Saudi Arabia stayed out of this for a bit, as long as it could since the initial wave starting in February 28th between the United States and Iran. But now I I mean this is uh as you said earlier, this is this is quite something uh quite very significant with Saudi Arabia now uh going from trying to hide away from conflict uh while being a party to it of course but now being directly in it on multiple fronts opening up uh more than a few uh in such a rapid period of time.

I think you I mean and this highlights you know the whole sort of seemingly miscalculation uh taking place uh because you know the question is why didn't uh Saudi Arabia retaliate at the Houthis instead of which they struck uh at the Kashad who as you rightly said have denied that they attacked Saudi Arabia. their refineries, the Irano refineries, they've denied it, firmly denied it, and said now they're going to retaliate. And then other stories have emerged. I can't say how credible they are, but I've seen Iraqi security officials say that actually they believe that some of the drones fired at Saudi Arabia were um initiated by Ukrainian um special intelligence forces working uh with Mossad and the Kurds in the south uh in order to provide a false flag to Saudi Arabia to strike it.

Well, I think Saudi Arabia just chose to strike in Iraq because they knew that if they struck at the Houthis, the Houthis would use missiles would destroy the rest of their infrastructure. In the end, I mean, they've achieved neither. They've both lost their infrastructure, and they've got an enemy of the Hashad and the Iraqis on their border. um and um and which will be very threatening to [clears throat] to to Kuwait and to Bahrain.

Um so you know the whole thing is just sort of slowly sort of the temperature the hot plate is getting hotter and hotter and hotter and then we have the story uh that the attack by Ukraine was to try and merge the Ukrainian war with the war on Iran. And I is this vaguely true? Well, as I pointed out, I mean, it is. I never really believe in coincidences.

And you know, how come the American forces suddenly attack a port in a Caspian port of Iran out of the blue? Um because Caspian is is is got I mean yes it's got vessels flying it but it's mostly about commodities. I mean this is the the the route in which um um Iran um imports food and supplies through the Caspian and also through um through Pakistan through the corridors in Pakistan. Um so that happens and then an Iranian vessel gets struck.

I think it's something like one with a by a missile from Ukraine over a distance of something like one and a half thousand kilometers. I mean, isn't that what's going on? I What's happening? Well, we don't have a complete answer.

Um but um the IRGC say we're going to respond to to to this and parts of the American press as you would have noticed is talking about you know emerging emerging of the war and a new vibe in America about that Ukraine is doing so well and that this is Donald Trump will be impressed by this and that what um Zalinski was doing by attacking the Iranian vessel was, you know, rather like a small child saying, "Hey, look at me. I'm here. Don't [clears throat] give me more attention. " Uh, that's one possibility, but it looks as if it could even be something more substantial because we have this strange story.

I'm sure you've seen it that Laura Luma, who is someone that Trump liked in his circle, who traveled with him on, you know, campaign planes and things like that, who he speaks to on the telephone and is considered to be an important influencer um in the States supposedly with the MAGA, but that is not really credible, especially the young MAGA. But she suddenly had this sort of conversion [clears throat] and she's gone out very publicly. She's been to Kiev and come back and said, you know, I'm all for Ukraine. I used to be in different and I've done 180 degrees and I now support Silinski completely.

" Well, uh, you know, first of all, Luma doesn't have any any standing with young Maga. I mean, they're not influenced by her at all. She's faded from that. But probably she has influence with the 55 65 year old ma that watch um Fox News in the evening.

She will have some some weight with with those people. It sounds as though and people are suggesting it. It sounds as though a new psychological operation is being [clears throat] contrived for the midterms. And what is this?

I think it's an attempt because of what we see in the polls. Trump's standing has really been dropping in terms of the war on Iran. The war on the Iran gets less and less popular in the United States. And so I think they're trying to um project um the story um that that um it's okay to be interventionist um and it's not necessarily at odds with America first.

To be interventionist is compatible with America first. So they are are sort of really challenging. It's a a sort of new meme that has been invented to challenge um the old um [clears throat] book if you remember that was was written some time ago by presidential candidate which is you know uh America the republic uh and America is not an empire uh and the American people must decide in Um, and this was has has always had a a theme. This is a theme that has always had quite a lot of influence, particularly amongst the young in the Republican party.

So, I think they're trying to challenge that the growing sense that, you know, the war in Iran, you know, conflicts um with that idea, you know, America is a republic. It is not an empire um and should not be an empire. This needs to recalibrate away from it um which um was which was the subject of a book that was um very prominent some years ago and um there is a good following for that. Now is this going to catch on?

Well, yes, but this is precisely the hidden danger in all of this. Are they really going to use Zalinski to try and sort of promote this idea that, you know, it's okay to be 43 minutesinterventionist against um Iran. It's okay to be interventionist, military interventionist against Russia. You know, all this is, you know, consistent with, you know, America first.

somehow if you can get to the to the logic. But is this to be the new sort of saving meme for for for the midterms? I don't know. It may just collapse because MAGA may not just, you know, bite on it at all.

Um, and Laura Luma is not, you know, a huge influencer in in the United States to put it mildly, but nonetheless, um, Zalinski did fire on an Iranian vessel [clears throat] and America fired on the Caspian. So, something is going on to try and link these two conflicts. And I think that this is what it is is to try and muddy the water between the two conflicts to say, well, you know, I mean, what's what what what's what was happening in Ukraine, as Luma says, you know, there it's all changed. They're on the front foot now.

They're winning. They're winning. You know, there was a time when Zalinski was a loser. Now he's a winner.

Now we all have to get behind it and support it. Yeah. And if then we see attacks on uh further attacks on Iranian um assets um then you know this whole thing can become very dangerous because Iran has already said that it is ready um that to warn Britain about the use of RAF Fairford military airport for the B1 bombers that are flying to Iraq. and said, you know, you are in the same position as as G states.

You're providing support for attacks on Iran, which is uh which is exactly what's happening. The B1 bombers based in fair for RAF Fairford and are flying um to Iran now these days and Cypress is used as a base. So the Iranians have said well you know if we get attacked I and by sort of a non you know other than this the the usual suspects I through the UK or by Ukraine uh we will react uh and you know this comes at a time when uh the war with Russia between um the NATO states and Russia is heating up. These missiles have changed the deep penetrating missiles and no longer attacking sort of refineries with great plumes of smoke because they put kerosene into the warheads.

Um it they are now attacking you know the Amazon type. It's called Wild Berries, but it's just basically Amazon, you know, consumer uh empires that you, you know, go on the internet and you order whatever it is, a soap of your choice or something like this. So, they're attacking these pack several of them, and they've attacked a resort, a summer resort, you know, with a swimming pool and the beds around it and everything else out in the middle of nowhere. They've attacked it and killed um I think 22 people or I don't know the exact figure exactly but the the Russians are furious and they're furious because they know that these missiles are made and built and designed in Europe in Germany, France and Britain.

Then they are disassembled and sent to Ukraine for reassembly and then firing from Ukraine as if it was a Ukrainian missile. And so um the the the Russians have warned me has come out and produced a a paper showing the locations of all of the manufacturies in Europe where these missiles that are striking Russia are being constructed before they are sent to Ukraine and said these are targets now. These are targets and so we are getting into quite deep water because the circularity everything is interlin but everything has separate agendas. So it is almost impossible to have a diplomatic solution to these things.

So they're all if you like there and so if we see them um fused or meshed together then it's very hard not to see um that there will be something that will um escalate this and as they are interlin and sort of somehow um uh the uh sort of coagulated together. um then we could see something uh very serious take place and I don't think there will be any tools diplomatic tools available um to the White House to deal with such a wide and complex problem. It it's it's not just like you know let's do a deal with Iran. No, because we're talking now about Saudi Arabia, Iraq now involved in it and uh so uh it's a very dangerous situation that is being constructed and I'm not sure how much you know how much this is um by um by careful [clears throat] by determination or is it just people doing things and are not really sort of thinking and linking them together?

Um, uh, I think probably it it's it's determined. I don't mean that Trump has, you know, sat down and thought about it. I think that's unlikely. But I do think that someone has, you know, putting this together.

It's really, you know, in a sense, um, someone has seen this Laura Luma who's sort of pushed her off into this, too. So, let's piggy back um o o off the um uh Lindsey Graham funeral um and then suggest you know that what what the MAGA should be should be a sort of um Lindsey Graham Trumpish interventionist force. Yeah. Yeah.

Well, I pulled up earlier while you were talking, Alistister, uh, Laura Luma Loomer meeting with the founder of the AOV battalion, uh, neo-Nazi, you know, one of the chief neo-Nazi groups, uh, operating in Ukraine since, you know, as early as the coup in 2014, uh, and has been one of the main fighting forces. Uh, she met with them and, as you said, she said she was going to report on her findings all across Kiev and and other areas she traveled to. um across the country. And yeah, I mean, you know, uh I feel like one of the big problems with this attempt and and the Trump administration, I think the Trump wing of the uh ruling establishment, they do rely a lot, you know, when people say culture war, uh they do try to really harness and hone on any opportunity in the real realm of culture like a Laura Loomer influencer to boost their stock, to boost their uh their image.

But the problem with Laura Loomer is that she's such a craven pro-Israel figure that this that her brand is actually a lot less if anybody looks at Laura Loomer's ex for example you can find on most of her posts you have just as many people who despise her on all across all sides of the political spectrum because of her uh sympathy and her outright um you know offensive support for Israel that this uh this this kind of I think feels indicative of the big problem for I think the Trump wing of the ruling establishment is that as you said they want to appeal to more people because they're worried about the lack of appeal of things like the war on Iran but the figures that they need to harness in order to regain that appeal have also made very uh stringent and and harsh turns for example like what Laura Loomer has done since October 7th, 2023, which is be a champion for Israel, which now is unpopular across the board. So, so your comments on this, we have about left. So, anything and also anything else you would like to point out audience? Just to say, of course, I mean, you know, uh uh a sort of new narrative, a new theme and jive for saying, you know, it's okay to be interventionist, it's okay to military intervene.

I mean that's not inconsistent with America first. Um uh I'm sure Israel will not stand in the way of that um campaign. It would um be entirely in line how they see uh the Republicans how they see that the Republicans should be um actuating. I don't think Laura will have any influence for the young at all.

I agree with you completely. Um, but I think, you know, I'm bringing it up not to look at the, you know, the actual mechanics of it, but to say, you know, that all of the smells of escalation, you know, that if Trump is stymied in Iran, are we about to see escalation taking place against Russia? Um, uh, to sort of compensate for the fact that he's frustrated in Iran. So that's what what I'm really saying is not how how good she will be and how effective or if she has any influence so much is you know this is just a canary in the coal mine for me.

It says you know everything is starting to sort of catch fire in the Middle East and become you know impossible to resolve. So, you know, merge the two, find a new pressure on on Putin, how to push Putin into a ceasefire, which he will not do. Actually the result of this is going to be um escalation [laughter] by Russia, escalation uh in by Iran, um escalation [laughter] in Iraq, escalation by the Yemenes. Um we're going to have see a very a very fragile period ahead.

And if the White House decides to start escalating in order to push Putin into [clears throat] a ceasefire which is completely against the interests of Russia is perceived by Russians. Well, you know, it will be a very unpleasant consequences. Yeah. Yeah.

I I you know it does almost feel like full circle since October 7, 2023 which began with Gaza. Um that quickly ignited into a regional war and now the I guess the the bigger fish according to the US in Israeli is Iran. Now that has morphed into a regional war and uh possibly many have uh noted on this show possibly a global war because it brings in now we're bringing in the Ukraine conflict in Russia. Also there are report after report almost every week about China and Iran support.

Uh I think uh there are many in the masters of war if we're to call them that that are that are looking at this with um the the aim and the eyes toward even the bigger powers which it's to to some might come as a surprise since Iran has not gone so well. But maybe that isn't the [clears throat] point to a lot of uh those who are continuing this war. That maybe the point isn't even to seek total victory against a country like Iran, but to uh create the conditions for um a bigger war to be possible for whatever reasons. And I'm I'm curious if you have comments on that as we close out here.

[snorts] Um uh well, very quickly, uh there are no military solutions. available to Trump either in the Russia Ukraine sphere nor the Iranian sphere. Um the economic consequences of the blockades in Hum and Babal Mandab are knocking at the door. Uh and the midterm elections are looking bleeer than ever for him.

So what is he going to do in these circumstances to try and change um the whole equation? Uh we don't know [clears throat] but it is quite a dangerous predicament to find ourselves in. Well, I want to make sure everybody knows that in the video description they can find conflicts forum substack which um is a great resource that you help put together um on all of these matters and issues. We also have all the place support this channel in the video description as well.

Um Alistister, do you want to say anything about conflicts form Substack before we head out here? Yeah, just I would strongly recommend people look at the um almost once or twice a week uh reports we do of what's happening in Israel because Israel is is going through its own crisis, leadership crisis. It is it may be that um Netanyahu will lose the election uh and then he's preparing the ground for not accepting the results of an election just like we see in the United States. He is doing the same.

Lulu have already passed a motion to say that if there's any security anxiety he can cancel elections and even if it does go ahead then Netanyahu will choose all the candidates for the liquid for the upcoming elections. So it's really important what's happening. We try and set it out every week from the Hebrew press, not the English language press because you get a different story in the Hebrew press. But I would say this is becoming very important and is hardly being um looked at or understood at the moment.

Yes. So everyone do support conflict forum substack in the video description below. Thanks Jeremiah for becoming a new member and thanks Servant of the most high for your very kind words about Alistister and I's work together. Everybody hit the like button before you go.

That helps boost the show so more people hear. m. Eastern time. So do check us out then.

That is the next show. Without further ado, everybody, that closes out today's program. Thanks so much for watching and I'll see you tomorrow. Until next time.

Bye-bye.

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi has categorically denounced joint Saudi-US strikes on positions of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMU), commonly known as Hashd al-Sha’abi, across the country, which have killed at least 20 resistance fighters and wounded 32 others.

Amedi, in a strongly worded statement released on Tuesday, condemned the aerial assaults “as an unacceptable act, a flagrant violation of Iraqi sovereignty, and entirely contrary to international law and the United Nations Charter.”

“We reiterate our vehement opposition to the use of Iraqi soil or a military field to launch attacks against neighboring countries. We call on all parties to respect Iraq's sovereignty and refrain from any action that undermines its security and stability,” the Iraqi presidency said.

The statement further noted that dialogue is essential to the resolution of crises in a manner that preserves the security of the region, and keeps its nations away from further tensions.

Iran condemns ‘criminal’ US-Saudi strikes on Iraq, warns of plot to widen regional war
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has issued a fierce condemnation of joint airstrikes by the United States and Saudi Arabia on Iraq.

Hashd al-Sha’abi said its positions in the provinces of Baghdad, Wasit, Nineveh, Basra, Kirkuk, Karbala and Diyala were targeted early on Wednesday, causing material damage to the headquarters, vehicles and military equipment.

The anti-terror resistance force described the attacks as a “dangerous escalation,” a “violation of Iraq’s sovereignty” and an attack against the country’s official security institutions.

The PMU said specialized committees were continuing field operations to establish more accurate figures and information, saying that the number of those killed and wounded could rise.

Iraqi security council condemns US-Saudi attack, urges de-escalation

Meanwhile, Iraq’s National Security Council has held an emergency meeting with the commander-in-chief of the armed forces to discuss the US-Saudi attack.

“The meeting affirmed the government’s firm stance and wholesale rejection of all hostile acts, irrespective of the responsible party or excuses offered. It emphasized that dealing with and confronting such aggression constitutes a primary responsibility of the Iraqi government,” the council said in a statement.

It also called for “the employment of diplomatic means in order to resolve disputes”, stating that “Iraq should steer away from regional conflicts”.

Former Iraqi prime minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani also condemned the US-Saudi attacks targeting Hashd al-Sha’abi headquarters, warning of the consequences of violating Iraqi sovereignty.

“We condemn, in the strongest terms, the Saudi-US attack that targeted PMU headquarters in Iraq,” Sudani stated, emphasizing that “the attack represents a blatant violation of Iraq's sovereignty and a serious transgression against the principle of Muslim brotherhood, in addition to being a clear breach of international law and the UN Charter.”

The head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition added, “While Iraq, through its official institutions, has declared its rejection of the use of its territory to attack neighboring countries, the timing of this attack raises many questions, especially since it came after the Iraqi government formed investigative committees to look into allegations of drones being launched from Iraqi territory towards Saudi oil facilities, in a move that reflected the Iraqi state's keenness to address issues through legal and institutional frameworks, not through military escalation.”

Sudani said Iraq retains all its legitimate rights guaranteed by international law, including what is stipulated in Article (51) of the Charter of the United Nations, in defending its sovereignty, land and people.

He said, “Any infringement on the security and stability of Iraq is something that cannot be accepted or tolerated.”

US, Saudi Arabia launch joint aggression against Iraqi resistance
The US and Saudi Arabia wage coordinated aerial aggression against several bases and weapons depots belonging to Iraq

Moreover, Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, condemned on Wednesday the joint US-Saudi strikes on the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Units, demanding that the Iraqi government take a firm and decisive stance regarding the infringement upon Iraq’s sovereignty.

“We condemn in the strongest terms the heinous and unjustified attack targeting Iraq's sovereignty and its armed forces, represented by the attack launched by Saudi forces, with US air support, on PMU positions in several locations across Iraq, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of PMU heroes and several wounded,” Amiri said in a statement.

He called on the Iraqi government to “take a firm and decisive stance against this violation of Iraq's sovereignty and the targeting of its heroic forces, which have played a fundamental role in achieving security and stability, and continue to pursue the remnants of the Daesh terrorist group.”

Amiri said the Iraqi nation was surprised by blatant aggression from a neighboring country to which Iraq has always extended a hand of brotherhood and cooperation, and has shown the utmost patience throughout difficult years.

“This is while terrorist groups were using the Saudi territory as a launching pad, and enjoyed support and facilities that contributed to sending thousands of bombers and car bombs and supporting the formation of terrorist gangs to shed the blood of the sons of the Iraqi people, in an attempt to prevent Iraq from enjoying security and stability,” the secretary-general of the Badr Organization stated.

Amiri said “the American role in supporting this brutal aggression places the United States before its legal and moral responsibilities. It would have been more appropriate for the US to adhere to the security agreement signed with Iraq, respect its sovereignty, and fulfill its obligations to protect its security and repel any aggression targeting its territory and military institutions.”

He highlighted that such hostile behavior necessitates a comprehensive reassessment of all relations and agreements concluded with the United States, foremost among them the security agreement, in a manner consistent with supreme national interests and that preserves Iraq's sovereignty and dignity.

Amiri said West Asia is currently at a critical juncture, which demands a unified Iraqi national stance to defend sovereignty and protect Iraqi lives.

The West's War On Iran Is Spreading Like Wildfire
Reason2Resist with Dimitri Lascaris
Jul 30, 2026

The Egyptian regime claims that, within the past 24 hours, a drone of unknown origin struck a US-affiliated LNG tanker that was docked in an Egyptian port.

So far, no resistance group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Yemen's Ansar Allah denies it had anything to do with it.

Did the attack actually happen? If so, was it a false flag? Who stands to gain by drawing Egypt into the war?

In this episode, Dimitri Lascaris examines all those questions.

He also discusses efforts to form a 'Sunni NATO', Saudi Arabia's plans for breaking the blockade in the Bab Al-Mandab Strait, Iran's claim that it just destroyed three F-35s, and a mutiny in the Israeli military.

Transcript

Hey, this is Dimmitri Lceris coming to you from Montreal, Canada on July 30th, 2026 for Reason to Resist. The criminal Trump Netanyahu war on Iran is spreading like a wildfire. It began to expand dramatically within the past week when Yemen struck major Saudi oil facilities in retaliation for Saudis criminal and inhumane blockade on Yemen and the Saudi bombing of the airport in Sana uh the capital of Yemen. Then Saudi and US forces bombed the popular mobilization forces in Iraq.

A couple of days ago, the PMF forms part of the Iraqi National Army. At least 20 of its members were massacred and dozens more were injured. Understandably, it has vowed revenge. Now, for the first time, a drone has struck a target in Egypt.

My friends, even if we ignore the carnage in Ukraine, Russia, Venezuela, and Cuba, we are well and truly into World War II. Before I delve into the details of the events of the past , please remember to like and share this video if you find it to be informative. And if you're not already a subscriber to Reason to Resist, or if you are one, you can encourage others uh to become one, please help us to expand the reach of our unapologetic resistance journalism by subscribing. We recently seated 193,000 subscribers.

Uh we've had a great month. Uh the last four weeks, we've added almost 11,000 and we are well on our way to reaching our target of 200,000 subscribers by the end of August, which will be about uh there close to the 2-year anniversary of the founding of Reason to Resist. So, with all of that, let's now get into it. First, I'd like to show you a report uh that emerged within the past of this drone strike or alleged drone strike in Egypt.

Uh this is uh a uh post uh that appeared on the resistance telegram channel Geopolitics. A suspected drone attack hit a US linked facility at Egypt's Dametta port. According to maritime security firm Ombry, the strike triggered fires on vessels at the terminal while local reports said several LG carriers and cargo ships were also affected nearby. Uh and then we had an official confirmation from the Egyptian cabinet.

As DD Geopolitics uh noted earlier today, the Egyptian cabinet officially confirmed that the fire involving two vessels at Dametta port was caused by a drone attack. Quote, "Following the containment of the fire that affected two ships at the port on July 29th, and after the relevant authorities conducted their preliminary investigations, it was determined that the incident was caused by a drone. No party has yet been identified as responsible. The competent authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and to take necessary measures to safeguard Egypt's interests and national security.

Uh so you see there there isn't any uh identification of a perpetrator, nor is there any uh indication as to how the Egyp Egyptian government will respond if and when a perpetrator is identified. But the reference to Egypt's interest in national security at least implies that Egypt may be prepared to take some kind of uh military measures uh depending upon what its investigation un uh uh yields and and that of course would be a major expansion of the war. uh this would be the first time that a country on the uh western side of the uh the Nile River uh would become involved in this particular uh war of aggression and uh Egypt is of course a very populous country. It is uh led by a dictator who is in every sense of the word a Washington vassel.

In fact, Trump during his first term identified the Egyptian dictator dictator Alizi as his favorite dictator. Those are the words he actually used. And um he has a sizable military which is funded in significant part by the US government. I believe Egypt in fact is the second largest recipient of US military aid after Israel uh in the postw World War II period.

Now, um here's a video uh which is purportedly uh it it purportedly shows uh emergency workers uh working to put out the fire that was caused by the drone. I must say I don't find that to be particularly convincing evidence of a drone attack. Uh there I've seen other videos which show smoke uh in the 5 minutesvicinity and people kind of milling around and there are clearly some emergency workers who have been uh brought to the scene. Uh but uh this was apparently launched during daytime and it's curious that there isn't any footage of the actual explosion or of an incoming drone.

Uh that doesn't necessarily prove that the claim is false, but I have yet to see convincing video or photographic or radar imagery or satellite imagery substantiating the claim that this LG tanker was struck by a drone. Now I should also add that uh the uh Ansarala movement the resistance uh government in Sana in Yemen has denied that it was involved in this attack. An official in the ministry uh in the ministry of foreign affairs of Yemen denied the rumors that a ship was targeted in Damata port in Egypt by Yemen forces as completely baseless and uh they denied it. He emphasized that Yemen's position is completely clear and the retaliatory attacks only target the Saudi regime due to its continuous encirclement and aggression.

This Yemeni official announced that shipping in the Red Sea is safe and Riad's rumors to break the deadlock are not justified. Now, assuming that there was a drone strike, uh this could clearly be a false flag, uh because there are people out there who have an incentive, including the Saudis, the Americans, the Israelis, to get the Egyptian military, the sizable Egyptian military involved in this war of aggression on their side. Uh and this may uh just do the trick. Uh another possibility is that the Egyptians are lying.

The uh dictatorship of Egypt is making this up. And in fact, it wasn't a drone strike. Uh maybe there wasn't a fire. Maybe there was and it was caused by something else.

We really don't have any evidence that there was in fact a drone strike on this LG tanker. By the same token, I will I I I feel obliged to acknowledge the possibility that the resistance may not be telling the truth. Uh we are after all in a war and an important dimension of all wars is informationational warfare. And my own view for what it's worth is that throughout this war and throughout all wars sometimes uh parties will perpetuate attacks uh parties to the conflict and not claim responsibility for them or even explicitly deny responsibility for them.

And they can do that for a variety of reasons. One of which is just to keep the adversary in a state of uncertainty. So, I don't I'm not uh I don't ascribe to that school of thinking which you see a lot in the alternative anti-imperialist media that if the uh resistance denies that it was involved in attack, it's necessarily telling the truth. Or if it doesn't claim responsibility, then clearly it's not responsible.

I uh am willing to entertain the possibility that there was in fact a Yemeni attack or an Iranian attack or some other resistance group. uh at the end of the day I think at this stage we should keep our minds open to all possibilities and what should primarily concern us is how this incident will be exploited by uh nefarious actors in the region to expand the war. Now, as we reported yesterday, after Iran launched a so-called surprise attack uh two nights ago on a US military base in Jordan, Trump blew his stack and vowed in a conversation with the Fox talking head to quote kick the close quote out of Iran. This time, Taco uh Trump always uh chickens out did carry out his threat uh after Iran launched this attack on the Jordanian military base.

Uh and although the terrorist US military did manage last night to murder more Iranian civilians, the US attacks uh that were carried out in the last were hardly among the worst that it has inflicted on Iran during its war of aggression. According to reports, uh the attacks were limited to targets on the Persian Gulf coast of Iran and in the northeast of Iran near the border with uh uh with Iraq and not too far uh from uh the Kuwaiti autocracy. Um and uh they the US air force uh was yet again not inclined by all indications to enter deep into Iranian airspace. I think it's quite clear at this stage that the US air force does consider uh Iran's air defenses to uh continue to be a significant threat.

Now uh before I get into the details of the US crimes perpetrated last night, I want to say a few words about Iran's decision to end the so-called pause called by Donald Trump on Friday of last week by attacking a US base in Jordan two nights ago. Uh from my perspective, and I don't profess to be a military expert, uh but nonetheless uh for what it's worth, from my perspective, this is exactly what the Iranians should do. They should not allow the United States to dictate when the hot war uh resumes and when the hot war is paused because obviously the United States is going to pause the war and resume the war whenever it is in its own interest to do so. and it is disadvantageous to Iran for it to do so.

So, for example, if there is a uh a deficit of munitions or air defense interceptors in the region, uh the United States uh may very well say, "Hey, we're going to give peace a chance. " when in fact what it's really doing is using the pause to move munitions and air defense interceptors into the region. When the United States finds itself in that position and remember the United States is having to bring its munitions and its air uh interceptor defense uh mismunitions all the way from uh either uh the United States itself or uh distant military bases maybe in the north of Europe, maybe in Asia. It has s significant logistical challenges in maintaining a brisk a brisk tempo of this war.

And when those moments occur uh where it is suffering from an insufficiency of munitions or interceptor missiles, that's precisely when Iran should be attacking. If Iran agrees to pause just because the United States pauses, then it's playing into the hands of the United States and giving it a break at the moment when it is most vulnerable. So it should be Iran which dictates uh the pace the tempo of this war and decides when the war is off and when it is on. It should not allow the United States to make that decision on its own.

So I applaud the Iranian military uh for taking this initiative and for the leadership of the country understanding as they clearly do that when Donald Trump declared a pause on Friday of last week, it had nothing to do with his desire for peace. It was entirely a self-serving decision. And uh the uh the the the obvious objective of the Trump regime remains to destroy Iran. And they continue to struggle uh in Washington with the task of finding a way to do that without blowing up the global economy and by extension the US economy.

Now, video has surfaced which appears to confirm that some of these attacks last night were launched from Kuwaiti territory using uh the US Haimar's missile systems. And here's one of these videos. Uh the the launches were from uh Kuwaiti territory at night. And you can see missiles ascending uh from Kuwaiti Kuwaiti territory in the direction of Iran in this video.

Now we have yet another video which appears to show also missile launches from Kuwaiti territory towards Iran last night. Show that again. It's a very brief clip. You can see a missile going up.

Now, uh at this stage, one must ask what are the Kuwaiti autocrats thinking? Uh they are a tiny country. They've been invaded by Iraq before. The uh US and Saudi regimes just enraged the resistance in Iraq by launching murderous attacks on the popular mobilization forces which do form part of the Iraqi national army.

Uh so they already have the threat. It hasn't been made explicitly, but theoretically uh U resistance forces inside Iraq could choose either for their own purposes or to assist Iran or both to invade Kuwait. And uh uh Kuwait would be in a very difficult position. The popular mobilization forces are a formidable force.

Uh estimates are they have uh 100 to 200,000 men under arms and they are better armed than even Hezbollah. And already Kuwait has taken quite a beating and has a tiny army. And the US military has also taken quite a beating in uh Kuwait. Uh and on top of all of that uh they are inviting the Kuwaitis even more destructive attacks by Iran.

So they could get squeezed between two much larger and very motivated adversaries if they continue down this path. But this is what vassels do. They don't act in the interests of their own people. They don't act in the interests of their own uh state.

What they do is the bidding of Washington. Now uh Iran wasted no time in retaliating. U I'm going to uh show you uh a satellite image which appears to show uh damage inflicted last night or it may have been this morning on uh another US air base in Kuwait by uh Iranian missile or drone strikes. And here you can see a post uh by uh Mench Oint this morning.

Uh very uh reliable source of uh intelligence information about what is going on in this region. And uh this account posted that satellite imagery confirms impact at Ali Al-Salum Air Base, Kuwait near two drone hangers uh the IRGC said they targeted uh this morning. Uh and so uh this is just of course a small taste of what uh the Iranian uh aerospace forces are capable of doing to uh Kuwait which has not only seen uh many destructive attacks on US military bases in its uh in the in its fake little state lit but has also seen its own oil and infrastructure and a water dissalination facility struck by Iranian forces. Now, um, Iran has reported that the United States last night murdered, uh, members of a family on Keshum Island in the straight of Hormuz.

This is a video uh, which is reportedly of a residential area in Keshum Island that was struck. And uh, the house that was destroyed and uh, where the family members were killed is pictured in this uh, video. The uh family members in question were a mother and a father and uh a two-year-old boy. And resistance uh telegram channels have uh published uh photographs of the three victims.

And apparently uh two other children in this family survived the attack or had survived the attack the last time I checked uh uh the resistance channels, but they were in a hospital receiving treatment and it's unclear whether uh they will survive this murderous assault by the Trump regime. Now, uh, the IRGC, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, uh, not only targeted, uh, Kuwait, it again targeted US military bases in Jordan, uh, in retaliation for the strikes last night. And, uh, the IRGC uh, published a video uh, earlier today showing its missile launches towards those targets. " Uh, that's clearly a reference to Saudi container ships.

Heat. Heat. As you can see there, this launch according to this video not only consisted of ballistic missiles but also a number of drones. Today, after launching these missile and drone strikes, the Iranian military issued a statement in which it asserted that it had destroyed three F-35s on the tarmac in Jordan.

Here you can see a portion of the statement posted by Tasnim News today. The American enemy was desperate for a fair military confrontation by using the occupied bases in your country and air attack on two residential houses with its anti-trench bombs targeting two simple houses of the local people in Keshum Island. In response to this crime and to help you to free the Islamic land of Jordan from the ravages of the American occupation, this morning the soldiers of the IRGC Aerospace Force attacked the deployment ramp and maintenance shed of the American enemy F-35 fighters at the Al Azarak air base with several ballistic missiles, completely destroying three F-35 aircraft and causing heavy heavy damage to three other aircraft. In this attack, several officers and technical and maintenance personnel of the enemy were also killed.

Our region is not the place for the child killing army, which brutally murders innocent families in the middle of the night in their sleep. Our struggle in yours will continue until the expulsion of the last American occupier from the Islamic lands. So there again you see this theme which has really become prominent in statements by the Iranian military about liberating Islamic lands from the American occupier. And as I'm going to show you later, there are more indications that this message is resonating with peoples throughout the region.

Not surprising after 3 years of westernbacked Israeli satanic genocide in occupied Palestine 21 minutesand southern Lebanon. Now, um I'm going to show you some satellite imagery which was published today which uh may show uh that there is uh in fact uh serious damage that was done to US war plananes on the ground in uh Jordan. Uh this again was published by uh what I regard as a reliable source Mench Oint on X and uh you can see here this is low resolution Sentinel 2 satellite imagery uh so it's not entirely clear in the lower right hand corner uh you can see a clear image that was taken earlier uh from this uh same part of this air base which showed that there were what appear to be F-35s or certainly they are uh war plananes uh parked in the areas where uh you can now see black spots. So if you compare the image in the the clear image in the lower right hand corner where you can see these warplanes uh to the black spots in the lowresolution image uh uh which is the main part of this post.

Uh it may well be that this uh evidences uh destruction of aircraft uh at this particular base. But this is inconclusive because it is after all lowresolution satellite imagery. Uh but I will say this, the uh Iranians have proved themselves to be very adept at making precision strikes on US military uh bases throughout the region, including in Jordan. Uh that would be quite a stunning blow to the US Air Force were it to be uh true.

And uh I can uh assure you uh probably don't need to say this. We can expect that the the Trump regime and the US military will do everything possible to persuade the public not only that these F-35s were not destroyed but that all of the ballistic missiles were taken down. In fact, this is a common refrain you hear from the Gulf autotocracies and the uh US military uh that they took down all the missiles. Uh they don't even acknowledge that one or two got through.

uh they demand uh uh that we believe that they are uh constantly meeting a standard of perfection even though as I've said many times US weapons experts including Ted Postol the former professor of MIT say that the backbone mil aer defense system of the US military the Patriot is almost completely ineffective at taking down ballistic missiles uh and the satellite imagery and the video imagery we've seen over uh the course of the war on Iran uh has fully substantiated what uh professor Postol has been arguing for months now. I indicated that this uh message may be resonating the message of liberating Muslim lands from the American occupier with Jordanians. Well, the New York Times just published an article uh this morning, I believe it was, in which it said that some Jordanians dare to speak out against US troop presence. Uh that's an interesting headline.

It's an implicit acknowledgement by the New York Times, hardly a friend of Iran or the resistance, uh that uh it is a risky business to uh express an opinion in Jordan in this dictatorship uh that is contrary to the policies of the uh Jordanian vassel. Uh and uh what uh the article reported is that hundreds of political, legal, and other figures signed a public letter warning that Jordan's close alliance with the United States poses a risk. Uh and uh the call they call the American presence a security, political, and economic risk, pulling the country into a war it wants no part of. Most Jordanian outlets refuse to publish letter and organizers warn signitories could be jailed.

And let me tell you my friends, I personally have uh experience with the repression of this uh Jordanian uh vassel uh because when I was in Jordan last year uh and uh I was there for the purpose of going over the Alen Bridge, I arrived in Aman, the capital of Jordan, and I wanted to travel by land over the Allen Bridge into the occupied West Bank. I was stopped by the Israeli uh uh occupation forces at the border. Uh they have no business by the way controlling who goes in and out of the West Bank. They're illegally occupying it as the International Court of Justice has ruled and uh this is Palestinian territory.

But in any event, they stopped me from entering uh saying that uh I criticize Israel wherever I go. That was the reason I was given for not being allowed into Palestine on my uh latest attempt to enter. That was the first time that I was actually prevented out of six attempts to enter the country from uh entering. Now uh what happened then is that I went back to Aman and I decided to start reporting on the presence of uh Israeli interests in Jordan.

And uh the very first thing I did as part of my report was I went to the Israeli embassy in a an affluent part of the Jordanian capital. And uh I was going to use the Israeli embassy as a backdrop for the introduction to my report. I was standing in a in a public street a 100 meters or so from uh the Israeli embassy which I was told later had been completely evacuated. So there was nobody even in there and you couldn't see anything that was really of any security value from where I was standing.

I just wanted to have it as a backdrop to my report. And the moment I pulled out my camera, I was swarmed uh by police officers, both uh uniformed and unarmed police officers, about 16 of them. That's the number I counted. Then I was taken uh to a uh the a precinct of the police where there was a an office of the Jordanian intelligence service and I was thrown into the Huzgow with some common criminals or people who were alleged to be common criminals and I was kept there for a day and interrogated extensively by and repeatedly by the Israeli uh the Jordanian intelligence.

Well, maybe it is Israeli intelligence at the end of the day about what I was doing there. And uh they only freed me uh after I began to shout from my prison cell that I wanted to speak to the Canadian embassy uh because I was being held unlawfully uh and in violation of my rights as a journalist. At that point, they did free me uh but uh only uh when uh I gave them assurances that I wasn't going to film any other embassies during my time in Jordan. Now, if they're willing to do that to me, uh, a citizen of two Western countries and a card carrying member of the Western press, just imagine what they do, uh, to their own people to silence, uh, disscent.

And of course, there are millions of Palestinians living in Jordan. Uh, I think that that uh, uh, vassel's rule is hanging by a thread. And I can only imagine how uh how much pent up anger there is amongst the Jordanian people for this uh scumbag's complete and utter complicity in the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. Now, one other thing I want to say about Jordan is that uh there has been uh some interesting uh information coming out about uh the involvement of other NATO countries in protecting uh the uh the dictatorship of Jordan from the or at least the US military bases in Jordan from uh attacks by the resistance.

And here is a a post uh that was put out on X again by our ever reliable friends over at Mench Oint. German and French fighter jets refueled by A400M uh planes are operating over eastern Jordan attempting to intercept projectiles targeting US bases. Well, this shows two things. It shows first of all, of course, uh that uh this is not just uh a USIsraeli war on Iran.

This is a western war on Iran. And I'm going to come back to that in a few minutes. But it also shows the level of desperation. The air defense systems are obviously not up to the task if they have to call in uh fighter jets from other NATO countries to try to take these things down in the air.

And by the way, there's no fighter jet in the world that's going to be able to shoot down a ballistic missile. Uh I guess you know because of the speeds at which these things are traveling. Uh maybe if they got really lucky, they might take one out once in a blue moon. Uh but that's a very very ineffective way I would I would think for uh taking down a ballistic missile.

What they're probably trying to do is intercept drones. That is something that uh advanced fighter jets uh can do with some uh level of effectiveness. Uh but they're not going to uh protect uh these uh military bases from ballistic missile attacks. Of that uh I'm quite confident.

Now, while all of this is going on, the criminal Saudi autotocracy seems hellbent on destroying itself by escalating this war. A report has emerged uh this is from the Guardian today that the Saudi forces are planning a major offensive against what they call at the Guardian the Houthis uh is the Ansadala uh government in Yemen. uh the Yemeni sources, we don't know who these sources are, but uh the Guardian purports to have Yemeni sources who say Saudi Arabia is preparing sea and possible land attack to break choke hold on oil exports through the Red Sea. Uh and uh part of this initiative.

So there are two aspects of this. First of all, Saudi Arabia is preparing for a major military offensive against the Houthis by sea and possibly by land in central Yemen. Uh Yemeni sources believe in a move to break the chokeold on its oil exports through the southern Red Sea. Saudi forces have been seen withdrawing from the east of Yemen and what could be a preparation for a land offensive.

At the same time, Riyad is trying to organize a naval coalition to protect shipping from Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. And I'm going to come back to this naval coalition uh in a second. Now uh the uh Saudi Defense Ministry said on Thursday that 14 states including Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, Sudan and Djibouti had issued a joint statement supporting a multinational maritime defense coalition. The Iran aligned Houthies as the Guardian loves to call them who control Yemen's capital Sana and much of its Red Sea coastline announced on 20 July that they were implementing a blockade against Saudi ships but they have denied they are planning to impose tolls on all ships.

The group says it will lift the blockade once Saudi Arabia lifts its blockade, which has been going on for more than a decade and has caused the deaths of probably at this stage hundreds of thousands of innocent Yemenes. So rather than simply lift their uh sadistic blockade, uh this genocidal blockade on Yemen, they've decided to escalate. They're escalating against everybody, the Saudi autotocracy. They're escalating against the Iraqis.

They're escalating against Iran. They're escalating against Ansar Allah. Uh and as we've already seen uh through the attacks on their oil infrastructure, particularly in Jazan and Yamu and uh Abka in eastern Saudi Arabia, they are extremely vulnerable to attacks by the resistance. What are these people thinking?

Well, this sounds like a good time for my friendly daily reminder that the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman, was a bosom buddy of the most notorious pedophile in history, Jeffrey Epstein. And here you can see, yet again, I'm showing it to you just to remind you who this creature is, Muhammad bin Salman. This was taken in November 2016 after Epstein had been convicted of a criminal offense involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. He has his bromance uh arm wrapped around Epstein and you can see him smiling from ear to ear uh and also he's not even wearing his head covering.

That's how impersonal how friendly and warm his relationship with this uh human excrement was. And uh why am I pointing this out to you? First of all, because this is a powerful statement on the character of this man, but uh and I could go on and on about the murder of Jamal Kosigible, the Washington Post columnist in the Saudi embassy in uh Turkey. I could talk to you about the time where the Saudis kidnapped the Lebanese prime minister under this creep and uh slapped him around.

Uh this was Adafiki uh the the son of the uh the slain former uh prime minister of Lebanon. He was literally kidnapped and slapped around because he wasn't being sufficiently subservient uh to the Saudis. Uh you know this is a man who is extremely arrogant, grotesqually incompetent and unbelievably depraved. So perhaps it shouldn't surprise us uh that his regime is acting uh in a suicidal manner.

Uh now I mentioned a moment ago when I talked about that Guardian article uh that uh these characters are talking about uh putting together uh a coalition uh to uh take on the uh blockade of Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea and through uh the Bab al-Mandde Strait. Well, uh, this may sound familiar to you because this is exactly what the Americans tried to do from December 2023 to, uh, May 2025. And this o, this was something that overlap both the Biden and the Trump regimes. This is two years and 7 months.

A coalition which they dubbed Prosperity Garden tried to break the partial blockade that Ansadalah had uh imposed on Israel linked shipping in the Babal Mandep strait. Uh, Operation Prosperity Garden was uh included eight NATO countries uh not just the US and the UK uh but also six others including by the way Greece and it also included Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Sri Lanka and it failed miserably to uh bring an end to the partial blockade of the Babal Mandab Strait. Why anybody thinks that some mly collection of Washington vassels uh that is being cobbled together by Jeffrey Epstein's bosom buddy is going to achieve a different outcome. I don't know.

I can't imagine why. Uh if uh the US and UK militaries with all of that backing were not able to do it. Uh it is extremely unlikely that some coalition led by uh the murderous Saudi autocrat is going to do it. Now quite apart from that uh we are getting a lot of reports that uh the Saudis uh are trying to assemble 36 minutessomething which is being dubbed the Sunni NATO.

Uh and this is a military alliance. That's the way it's being described uh that would potentially include not only Saudi Arabia and Egypt but also Turkey and Pakistan. And uh uh now we're hearing noises that Qatar will be involved. Now, this is a post about this so-called Sunni NATO uh that appeared on the geopolitics channel that I follow on Telegram yesterday and they wrote as follows.

The idea is being lobbyed by Qatar's former PM Shik Hammad bin Jasimi Malani who called for an alliance of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan as an urgent necessity amid rapid changes in Western policies, especially the US. He cautioned against viewing the block as an anti-Iranian and warned against repeating the mistakes of the 1990 Damascus declaration, a pack signed by Egypt, Syria, and the six Gulf states that collapsed within months due to funding disputes and diverging interests, leaving Gulf states to rely on bilateral deals and Washington protection. In light of the move, Washington faces dilemma. Allies seek strategic autonomy without severing ties with the Pentagon.

The US Iran war has exposed the vulnerability of traditional American deterrence. Pakistan provides a battle tested army and nuclear deterrence. Turkey offers defense technologies and Gulf monarchies bring financial muscle. The region is on the verge of tectonic shifts.

So the tone of this I and I respect the people at Geopolitics Prime. They do good reporting, but uh I don't agree with the tone of this article. Um I think that this is a very ominous development. Uh first of all, the governments of all of these states are really abject vassels of Washington.

That's number one. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, and Qatar. Uh certainly four of them host major US military bases. They're reliance they're reliant on US military aid.

uh and uh the Pakistan uh regime in particular was basically put in power by the United States because they thought that uh the elected uh prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was being too independent of Washington. And what really uh causes arouses my suspicion is that I've not seen any complaints from Trump or Netanyahu about uh this new concept of Sunni NATO. if they regarded this as being uh a means by which uh these predominantly Muslim states would take their uh own defense into their own hands. Uh and uh all of them at least officially have a policy that is hostile to Israel, whatever their unofficial policy may be.

In these circumstances, if neither the Americans nor the Israelis are complaining loudly, I think we have good reason to be suspicious against whom this uh alliance, if it does come to pass, is being formed. And uh if in fact it ends up being formed and it has an equivalent of article 5 of the NATO treaty which treats an attack on one of member of this of the alliance as an attack on all. What does this what will this mean when Iran uh for example targets uh US military bases in Saudi Arabia or Qatar because they're being used to attack Iran? At that point, will uh the Pakistanis who have nuclear weapons and Turkey that has a massive army, will they consider them obliged to attack Iran uh pursuant to whatever uh provision of this new Sunni NATO agreement uh requires mutual defense.

Uh I think that this is potentially a way for this war to expand uh dramatically and in very destructive ways. And I don't think that anybody anybody uh should assume that any of the leaders of these uh states uh are inclined to exercise real independence from Washington. There's really no indication of that uh to date. And just to focus on Erdogan, the last time Trump met with Erdogan uh the president of Turkey, he went on and on about how wonderful he is and how he does whatever Trump wants.

That's just to give you an example. So um I think we should be very very suspicious about this development and as I say I think uh I I myself regard it as uh ominous. Now I mentioned earlier that this is very much a war of the collective west on uh Iran and not simply a US-Israeli war. Uh there was u an interesting uh statement put out by the Iranian foreign ministry.

the Iranian foreign minister uh called up his Bulgarian counterpart uh to object to Bulgaria providing its territory to America to attack Iran. And according to the statement uh he explained to his Bulgarian counterpart the latest developments in the region and the continuation of US aggression against the Islamic Republic and its actions in the context of creating tension in the West Asian region. By the way, let me assure you that Bulgaria is within range of uh the more sophisticated Iranian ballistic missiles uh and drones for that matter. Uh but uh the main point I want to make here is we can now say with confidence that uh the following NATO states are participating in this war in some capacity.

Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, which has allowed uh US war plananes to take off from bases inside the United Kingdom to attack Iran, and uh also Germany and France, which as I just mentioned, have sent their fighter jets to patrol uh and try to protect uh uh airspace over Jordan for the purpose of uh taking down drones that are targeting US military bases. There we have the Greeks who have been bragging about having sent a Patriot air defense system to Saudi Arabia and claim to be taking down Iranian ballistic missiles with that hopelessly useless uh Patriot and overpriced I should say uh air defense system. And we have Italy. Uh Mark Ruta, the loudmouthed uh you know, secretary general of NATO recently let out of the cat out of the bag saying that uh the Italian government had allowed uh the United States military to use bases in Italy as launching points for attacks on Iran.

So these are just the states we know about. Bulgaria, UK, Germany, France, Greece, and Italy in addition of course to the United States. Uh and there may be many others. So this is really very much a NATO war uh a war of the collective west on Iran.

And frankly it is and it's not just of course the European members of NATO and the United States. It's also the Arab autocrats who are assisting in this war. It's truly remarkable uh borderline miraculous actually that Iran has been able to resist all of this firepower uh all of this economic warfare uh for decades uh and not only to survive but uh to have the upper hand on the battlefield uh it's uh quite remarkable. Now the other thing I want to say is that this is not just a a war of the collective west.

And when you look at what is happening across the world today, I think it's time for us to come to terms with the fact that we are living through World War II. And you hear this a lot, but you never hear anybody actually talk about what that means. And that's I think why often times there's disagreement on this issue. So I'm going to tell you what I mean by World War II.

To me, World War II means you have a conflict or series of conflicts involving multiple states uh and uh coming from multiple contents uh continents that have material detrimental impacts on the entire world. So you don't have to have every country in the world directly involved in the warfare or even most countries in the world directly involved in the warfare. Not every country needs to be a battlefield and in fact that wasn't the case during World War I or World War II. Most countries were not a battlefield and most countries were not directly involved in the warfare.

But both of those wars involved uh belligerent from uh more than one continent and uh from numerous countries and most importantly the impacts of both of those wars were felt across the globe. Well, if that's your definition of a world war and it happens to be mine, there's no question we are currently in a world war. uh we have uh wars that are being fought for mo essentially for the same purpose for the preservation of western hegemony uh in Eastern Europe uh all over West Asia and there is low intensity uh warfare going on in Latin America and particularly the Gulf of Mexico uh and the most prominent example of that is of course the invasion and kidnapping or the insertion of commando troops into Venezuela for the purpose of kidnapping its president in violation of international law and they killed you know uh Venezuelans and Cubans when they did that the Americans. So you have uh three different continents where there is a hot war or a low inensity war uh and uh multiple states involved.

And of course there's no question that this has detrimental impacts on people all around the world primarily because of the uh soaring price of commodities and the resulting inflation but also and they don't talk about this at all the extraordinarily negative impact of these wars on the environment. uh there is a huge amount of contaminants being uh thrust into the atmosphere, plunged into our soil and the water as a result of all of this warfare. And that in of itself is going to have lasting and detrimental impacts on generations of people around the world. And of course, quite apart from all of that, you have huge financial resources that are being sucked up in countries on multiple continents to arm and militarize when those funds could be 46 minutesused for socially beneficial purposes like improving health care, improving uh the educational system, the infrastructure, caring for our environment.

uh all of that money is being diverted to uh merchants of death when it could be used to improve the lives of people around the world. And so there are many ways in which these wars that are currently being waged all for the purpose of perpetuating western hegemony across the globe are having detrimental impacts on people in each every country on earth. So by any rational definition of a world war, we are in a world war and that world war is intensifying and it is up to us as citizens of conscience wherever we may be to do everything within our power to bring this to an end uh before it results in the extinction of humanity because this will be and is the first world war that is being fought in the nuclear era and it is therefore by far the most dangerous of them. Now before I sign off, I want to bring to your attention two other uh news items.

A curious report coming out of Israel, the genocidal entity. And this was posted by the Cradle today. Our good friends at the Cradle. According to Miv, this is an Israeli newspaper.

Dozens of soldiers from the Tabar Battalion of the Gavadi Brigade laid down their weapons and left Zetiman base. This is the notorious torture facility uh that Israel has been operating throughout the genocide uh after a dispute with their battalion commander over new disciplinary measures and the removal of long-standing battalion traditions. The mass walkout has rendered the battalion combat ineffective with military officials describing the incident as highly unusual. WE, another Israeli media outlet, reported that the soldiers left the base without authorization after protesting their commander's decision to remove signs and symbols they had displayed and were filmed leaving while chanting an obscene slogan directed at their officers.

I'm going to show you uh one of those videos in a moment. Uh and the post uh concludes with this. The inhumane state team and detention camp is an Israeli military base in the negative desert known for the severe physical abuse, medical neglect, and documented incidents of sexual assault and rape against Palestinian detainees. Now, according to these reports, it's not because they were being implicated or ordered to involve themselves in acts of torture.

That's not why they rebelled. They rebelled because the commanders decided to remove signs and symbols they had displayed. And so uh it was that decision by their military commanders which prompted this. whatever their motivation may have been for rebelling, that certainly isn't a good sign for discipline within the genocidal Israeli military.

And the last piece of news I want to share with you is that X uh has engaged in yet another act of pro- Washington censorship. Uh they have suspended all the accounts, not just the English language account of the Iranian news agency Tasnim. Uh now uh I follow Tasnim on Telegram. I recommend if you're not already following Taznim on Telegram that you do that.

I follow the English language channel. I've been following it for months. It's an extremely useful source of information. And let me tell you, I have no hesitation in saying that Taznim is uh certainly from an editorial posture, it's uh very closely aligned with the Iranian government and it's going to give you the Iranian government's perspective.

Uh now sometimes I have seen Taznim post a material that is critical of the Iranian government but when it's done that it has generally been uh critical for the purpose of dissuading the government from engaging in further negotiations with Trump. uh but uh whatever the editorial posture of uh the uh agency may be, the fact of the matter is that it provides us with valuable information about the Iranian perspective on this war and matters related to it. Whether or not you agree with the Iranian government, whether or not you admire or support the Iranian government, anytime you're in a conflict situation, you want to understand how the other side is thinking. If you want to try to achieve peace, you want to understand how the other side is thinking for the purpose of addressing their concerns in some mutually satisfactory way.

If you're not interested in peace, but you want to defeat them, you still want to understand how they think, uh, because you're less likely to defeat your enemy if you have no idea what it is that your enemy is trying to accomplish. So, uh, it is it's it's it's just childish in the extreme to take the position that whenever we're in a conflict with a country, those of us in the West, we should cut off our people from access to information about how the other side views the conflict and views the world. That's just stupid. And we saw this in the aftermath of the Russian uh military intervention in Ukraine where uh Western governments acted immediately to deprive their citizens of access to RT and Sputnik.

And by the way, I appear on RT uh regularly. I've never been paid to do that. I've never been told what to say. They've never put any restrictions on what I say.

I listen to RT and I uh communicate with colleagues at RT because I think that that is uh the most effective way of trying to been bring conflict to an end. Uh so in any case, I do recommend to you uh that you follow Tasnim on uh on Telegram if for no other purpose than to inform yourself about the uh perspective of many Iranians on this war. So with that, my friends, I'll be signing off today on July 30th, 2026. Please stay safe out there and we'll probably be back to you tomorrow on the final day of the month for a further report on uh this uh war that is spiraling out of control.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has affirmed that Egypt is an important friend and partner in the region whose security is of utmost importance to the Islamic Republic, while calling on all parties to remain vigilant against Israeli plots and false-flag operations designed to undermine regional peace.

In a message posted on X on Thursday, Araghchi responded to Western media reports attempting to link an unclaimed drone attack on Egypt’s Damietta Port to Iran.

“Egypt is an important friend and partner in the region, and its security is of utmost importance to us,” the foreign minister stated.

“We must all be vigilant against Israeli plots and false-flag operations designed to undermine regional peace. The threat is clear, mutual, and fearful of Muslim solidarity.”

The remarks came after Egyptian authorities reported a drone strike on Wednesday that caused an explosion and fire involving two ships at Damietta Port on the Mediterranean coast, including a US-linked gas-storage tanker. No country or group has claimed responsibility for the incident, and no casualties were reported. The fire was quickly brought under control.

Certain Western outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, have sought to frame the unclaimed attack as part of a so-called “Iran war,” in what Tehran views as a transparent effort to fabricate pretexts and sow discord among regional nations.

Iran has consistently rejected any involvement in actions targeting friendly countries. It has a long record of exposing the Zionist regime’s history of false-flag operations aimed at fracturing Muslim unity and expanding its aggressive agenda.

Araghchi’s statement underscores the Islamic Republic’s principled commitment to the security and sovereignty of its regional partners, particularly Egypt, and highlights the shared threat posed by Israeli schemes that fear the growing solidarity of the Muslim Ummah.

Retaliatory strikes destroy three F-35 jets at US-run Jordan base: IRGC
"The region is no place for a child-killing army that so brutally massacres innocent families in their sleep at midnight," the IRGC says.

Iran remains dedicated to fostering genuine regional stability based on mutual respect and cooperation, while firmly countering any attempts by the enemies of peace to manufacture crises and drag third parties into their wars of aggression.
