Looks good. I'd tether the challenge around her interview. Perhaps the day
before.
On her speech--my preference would be dot stick to sanders and only engage
GOP.
Curious if digital team has other ideas on what we could build around the
interview or la Raza to elevate the challenge piece.

All,

I've included a draft plan on how we can go after Trump's comments over the
next week leading up to NCLR. Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

*Political/Communications plan around Trump’s comments*

Two weeks after Donald Trump disparaged Mexican immigrants (and Latinos) as
“killers and rapists,” the Latino community continues to organize and
denounce his comments. This is the first time the Latino community has come
together and had a profound impact in corporate America. We have an
opportunity to be a part of that and have people hear that HRC is fighting
for them.

Given the 4th of July weekend, we believe it’s beneficial to start engaging
our digital audience this weekend and HRC can weigh in next week leading up
to her speech at National Council of La Raza (NCLR).

*Sunday, July 5th *

Monitor comments from Fernando Espuelas and Joaquin Castro on Republican
silence v. HRC comments. Following shows, clip and flag for Spanish and
beat reporters.

*Monday, July 6th *

Issue a challenge in English and Spanish from HRC asking supporters to join
her in calling on Republicans to denounce Trump’s comments.

- Message: As we celebrated Independence Day this last weekend, we
recognize it is a time to be proud of our nation’s diversity and the
contributions and sacrifices made by all, including immigrants. We are a
nation of immigrants and the recent comments by Donald Trump do not
represent who we are as a country. That is why I call on Trump’s fellow
Republican colleagues to denounce and come out strong against the hateful
rhetoric used to describe many working families who want nothing more than
what all of Americans want- a chance to contribute to our society and
provide the best life possible for our families.

Pitch Amanda and/or Lorella to Spanish and English TV

CHC op-eds calling on Republicans to denounce Trump’s comments and praising
HRC

Engage immigrant rights organizations. DREAMers have been bird dogging
Republican presidential candidates on DACA/DAPA, but they’ve learned to
respond. There’s an opportunity to bird dog and record questions about
Trump’s comments and connect it to the policy.

*Mid-week*

HRC interview with Maria Elena Salinas of Univision

- This can be two-fold. The first part can be a bio piece where HRC can
highlight her mother’s story, which will resonate with Latino families.
The second part can be on Trump’s comments, what that means for the Latino
community and how Republicans are sending a message to the Latino community
with their silence.
- Maria Elena Salinas recently did a column on Trump’s comments. Digital
will do a targeted post around her comments.
- *NOTE: Ted Cruz, Lindsay Graham, and Ben Carson have been on
Univision. Democratic candidates Bernie Sanders, Lincoln Chafee, and Martin
O’Malley have also done Univision interviews. *

HRC call-in interview with Fernando Espuelas of Univision radio

*Thursday, July 9th *

Digital thank you letter in Spanish and English that encourages supporters
to join HRC in thanking Macys, Univision, NBC and others for standing up
for Latinos and cutting ties with Trump.

*Friday, July 10th / Saturday, July 11th *

Possibly preview any news that HRC will make at NCLR

HRC Tweet/Facebook post saying she’s looking forward to speaking at NCLR
tomorrow

*Monday, July 12th *

Speech at NCLR

- HRC can aggressively call out Trump and other Republicans who have
said divisive comments or supported actions that have hurt Latinos. It’s an
opportunity to incorporate policy and highlight the differences. She’ll
fight for DACA/DAPA, ACA, etc. Don’t give Republicans an out--if they stood
with the community, they would move legislation today.
- There is also an opportunity to call this for what it is: racist and
galvanize the crowd.
- Other candidates have been careful, e.g., Sanders and Bush have said
it’s “wrong”.

Live Tweet speech highlights simultaneously in English and Spanish using

Cut clips from speech and upload video with Spanish subtitles to all

Clinton Campaign and DNC Incite Violence at Trump Rallies
by Project Veritas Action
Oct 17, 2016

In this explosive new video from Project Veritas Action, a Democratic dirty tricks operative unwittingly provides a dark money trail to the DNC and Clinton campaign. The video documents violence at Trump rallies that is traced to the Clinton campaign and the DNC through a process called birddogging.

A shady coordinated communications chain between the DNC, Clinton Campaign, Hillary Clinton’s Super PAC (Priorities) and other organizations are revealed. A key Clinton operative is on camera saying, “It doesn’t matter what the friggin’ legal and ethics people say, we need to win this motherfucker."

An activist who bragged about disrupting multiple Donald Trump campaign events in a recent Project Veritas video was on Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign payroll, a search of Federal Election Commission (FEC) records reveals.

In a Veritas video released Monday, filmmaker and provocateur James O’Keefe recounts meeting activist Zulema Rodriguez at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. In the video, Rodriguez takes credit for violent protests in Chicago that forced Trump to cancel a March rally.

“So, [Aaron Black] and I did the Chicago Trump event where we shut down like all the yeah,” Rodriguez says in the video. Rodriguez also takes credit for an Arizona protest, also in March, that shut down a major highway outside a Trump event.

Notably, a search of FEC records reveals that Rodriguez was paid by the Clinton campaign shortly before she disrupted the Chicago rally. The campaign paid her $1,610.34 as a “payroll” expense, and also gave her a $30 payment that is described only as “phone.”

The payments are both dated Feb. 29, 2016, less than two weeks before the violence in Chicago. Those are the only payments Rodriguez has ever received from the Clinton campaign. It’s not immediately clear what the payment was for, and it’s also unclear whether Rodriguez was really behind the agitation in Chicago or if she was simply making an empty boast.

In the months afterward, Rodriguez was paid handsomely by other political operations. She received a $1,108.97 travel reimbursement from MoveOn.org Political Action in May, and in June she was paid a whopping $17,500 by Stand Up For Ohio PAC as a “political consulting fee.” Stand Up For Ohio PAC is itself heavily funded by MoveOn.

Dem operative 'stepping back' after video suggests group incited violence at Trump rallies
By Daniella Diaz and Drew Griffin

Washington (CNN) A Democratic operative whose organization was helping Hillary Clinton's campaign announced Tuesday that he would be "stepping back" from the campaign after an edited video suggested that he and other staffers hired people to attend Donald Trump's campaign rallies and incite violence.

Robert Creamer -- husband of Illinois Rep. Jan Schakowsky -- announced his resignation in a statement after conservative activist James O'Keefe released a video under his organization Project Veritas Action, which showed Creamer and other operatives purportedly discussing methods for inciting violence at rallies for the Republican nominee.

In the past, O'Keefe and his Project Veritas Action have been criticized for strategically editing footage to create false accusations about people or groups.

Creamer was helping the Democratic National Committee with Clinton's campaign while working for Democracy Partners, a progressive consulting group. He is also the head of a group called Mobilize, which contracted with the DNC.

"I am unwilling to become a distraction to the important task of electing Hilary Clinton, and defeating Donald Trump in the upcoming election," Creamer said in a statement. "As a result I have indicated to the Democratic National Committee that I am stepping back from my responsibilities working with the campaign."

He confirmed that he was referring to the Clinton campaign, with which he was "fully integrated."

Creamer added that "contrary to the outrageous claims of the notorious right wing blogger James O'Keefe, we have always adhered to the highest standards of transparency and legality in our work for the DNC."

Trump super PAC chair: Trump needs 'a miracle' to win

He also denied that any of the schemes in the "hypothetical conversations" recorded for the video ever took place.

"We regret the unprofessional and careless hypothetical conversations that were captured on hidden cameras of a regional contractor for our firm, and he is no longer working with us," he said. "While none of the schemes described in the conversations every took place, these conversations do not at all reflect the values of Democracy Partners."

Democracy Partners called O'Keefe's video a "well-funded, systematic spy operation that is the modern day equivalent of the Watergate burglars."

Creamer told CNN that the national field director of Americans United for Change, Scott Foval, who was also recorded in the video, made false comments that are wrong about inciting violence at the rallies. Foval has since been fired from Americans United for Change, which had a contracting relationship with Democracy Partners.

"I mean, honestly, it's not hard to get some of these a------- to pop off," Foval purportedly says at one point in the video. "It's a matter of showing up, to want to get into their rally, in a Planned Parenthood T-shirt. Or 'Trump is a Nazi,' you know. You can message to draw them out, and draw them out to punch you."

Creamer said Foval's comments were "flat out wrong."

"We have gone to extreme measures to ensure no violence took place at any of our (counter protest) rallies," Creamer told CNN.

In 2005, Creamer pleaded guilty to tax violations and $2.3 million in bank fraud in relation to his operation of public interest groups in the 1990s.

DNC distances itself

The DNC quickly distanced itself from the accusations. Donna Brazile, the interim DNC chair, said O'Keefe "is a convicted criminal with a history of doctoring video to advance his ideological agenda" and that the practices have nothing to do with long-term efforts by the group.

"The practices described in the video by this temporary regional sub-contractor do not in any way comport with our long standing policies on organizing events, and those statements and sentiments do not represent the values that the Committee holds dear," Brazile said in a statement. "We do not believe, or have any evidence to suggest, that the activities articulated in the video actually occurred."

The Clinton campaign, meanwhile, denied that it has helped plant rogue protesters or deliberately incited violence at Trump campaign events.

"While Project Veritas has been known to offer misleading video out of context, some of the language and tactics referenced in the video are troubling even as a theory or proposal never executed," Zac Petkanas, a spokesman for Clinton's campaign, said in a statement. "We support the Democratic National Committee's appropriate action addressing this matter and look forward to continue waging a campaign of ideas worthy of our democratic process."

In 2010, O'Keefe plead guilty to a misdemeanor for breaking into former Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's office to tamper with her phone.

In 2013, O'Keefe had to pay $100,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by a former employee of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, better known as ACORN, after O'Keefe and fellow activist Hannah Giles allegedly solicited advice from ACORN workers on setting up a brothel and evading taxes.

The videos led to some employees being fired and contributed to the disbanding of ACORN, which advocated for low- and middle-income families and worked to register voters.

But prosecutors in New York and California found no evidence of wrongdoing by the group, and the California probe found the videos had been heavily edited.

Robert Creamer Visited Obama’s White House 340 Times
by Jen Lawrence
19 Oct 2016

The political consulting firm Democracy Partners is at the center of the Project Veritas investigation exposing Democrat operatives instigating violence at Trump rallies and plotting potential voter fraud.

Robert Creamer is the founder of Democracy Partners and a frequent visitor to the Obama White House. Logs show Creamer making 340 visits to the White House, with 45 of those meetings including President Obama.

As reported by Breitbart News, Creamer issued a statement after the first two videos that he was “stepping back” from his “responsibilities working with the campaign.” Interim DNC Chairman Donna Brazile tried to put distance between the DNC and Democracy Partners in a statement by saying, “the practices described in the video by this temporary regional sub-contractor do not in any way comport with our long standing policies on organizing events.”

Besides his regular visits to the White House, Creamer’s own statements contradict Brazile’s claim that Democracy Partners was just a bit player in the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Breitbart News detailed the connection between Creamer and the campaign in an article about the original video released exclusively by Breitbart this Monday:

In one hidden camera video, filmed at Creamer’s Washington, D.C. office, Creamer explains that Hillary Clinton is aware of “all” of his activities, directly or indirectly, and that Democracy Partners has a daily conference call with the Clinton campaign, as well as frequent calls with the White House.

Creamer’s meetings at the White House include two meetings with President Obama in March 2011 and June 2013 where the total number of people is listed as just two. Presumably, just Creamer and Obama.

Another character in the investigative videos is Scott Foval who was removed from his job at Americans United for Change as a result of the Project Veritas investigation. In the second O’Keefe video, Foval paints a dark picture of Creamer saying, “Bob Creamer is diabolical and I love him for it.” While discussing the potential voter fraud plot, Foval credits Creamer for “coming up with most of these ideas,” and describes Democracy Partners as a “dark hat.”

In a statement on their Facebook page Democracy Partners claims it is the victim of a “well-funded, systematic spy operation that is the modern day equivalent of the Watergate burglars.”

Creamer boasts having “more than four decades” as a political organizer and strategist on his Democracy Partners page. His bio also details a long history working with the DNC at the presidential campaign level stating:

During the 2008 and 2012 Presidential Elections he worked with the Democratic National Committee as a consultant to the Obama Presidential Campaign coordinating field based rapid response to Republican Presidential candidates.

During his career, Creamer has worked on hundreds of electoral campaigns at the local, state and national level.

Besides trying to downplay the role of Creamer, the DNC is using an attack-the-messenger strategy by attacking O’Keefe to deflect from the content of the videos. Brazile called O’Keefe a “convicted criminal with a history of doctoring video to advance his ideological agenda.”

In a statement on their Facebook page Democracy Partners claims it is the victim of a “well-funded, systematic spy operation that is the modern day equivalent of the Watergate burglars.”

O’Keefe tweeted out this video announcing the resignation of Creamer:

James O'Keefe @JamesOKeefeIII
BREAKING News: Bob Creamer, top @HillaryClinton campaign advisor, "STEPS DOWN" after today's video. Here is part of his statement..
