Meeting Jeffrey Epstein
Jeffrey told me that Gilan had something to show me upstairs. Go meet Gilan in
the bedroom. Immediately when he told me this, I was like scared to death. What does this mean? I'm going upstairs into
the bedroom and she's waiting for me in the bedroom. In 2000, Reena O was 21 and
rising fast in New York's art scene. Then her relationship with her art dealer boyfriend imploded, sending her
life into freef fall. Reena leaned on her friend, model Lisa Phillips, trusting her promise to help. Instead,
that trust would lead Reena deep into the twisted world of Jeffrey Epstein and Galain Maxwell. She's never felt able to
reveal the pair's most horrific crimes until now. Lisa was a model and I was an
artist. We were part of the same friends group and she was one of my best friends. She saw how heartbroken I was
when my ex-boyfriend and I broke up. This was like the first real boyfriend I ever had. I lost myself in that
relationship. So, um, I didn't do a lot of my artwork and that's why it was so
hard for me when the breakup took place. And I went back to making artwork full-time. I was working on this really
beautiful sculpture um that I started when I was in high school and it took me about 4 years to finish it. So, I
finished it that summer and I wanted to sell an addition. Lisa announced that she knew the perfect person to buy an
addition of the sculpture. She mentioned Jeffrey Epstein. Um that he was a billionaire and she met him on
his private island. He had a private jet. Um she also described him as
looking like Richard Gear from Pretty Woman. And I was like, "Sure." Sure. Like I would love to meet this art
collector that lives in this, you know, huge townhouse in, you know, the the
most expensive u zip code in New York City. I went to his house with Lisa and
I brought my portfolio with me. The butler escorted us into the great room. For the first um half of the meeting, we
sat in in this great room where he keeps his u work desk. He knew Lisa from
before and he greeted her and um and then I was introduced
and you know he asked me like what do you do like how old are you and I
answered how old I was? I was 21. Um I'm an artist. And and he's like oh you're
an artist. Like he's like oh like what kind of artwork do you do? And I was like well I brought my portfolio if you want to see. and I I showed it to him
and he seemed genuinely interested in the artwork. I was really happy. I was
like maybe he'll buy, you know, a couple of pieces or um specifically that one
sculpture. Jeffrey um made it very clear that he had immense
wealth and was very connected was very powerful and just the setting in itself
um set a lot of social boundaries or or
um uh like a separation of social class. I was dealing with someone who had
extreme wealth and he's a very intimidating person and it's very hard to say no to someone like that. That
sort of set the tone for the way he treated me. He just asked us to follow

him. He just escorted the two of us into this dark like hallway.
Epstein led Reena and Lisa into his now notorious massage room. There he
assaulted them. something happened and I just felt like that was something I had
to do. He had a a very very small um
like genitals and they were deformed. Some people have called it egg shape but I I think it was more in shape of a
lemon and and it's because it it was very tapered off towards um uh like both
ends and that's not normal. I've never seen anything like that in my life. I haven't even seen it in in like anatomy
books or other animals don't don't have um genitals that look like that. I still
to this day haven't really processed that day and and that first time um it
was not normal. He knew exactly what he was doing, but I didn't know what was happening. And um I'm not certain if
Lisa knew that was going to happen that day. It was something I wasn't expecting
and I didn't like it at all. Um, but I felt like I had no choice if I'm with
this person or around this person who um offered to be an art patron of mine.
This was just something that women have done for a very long time. Like they have been sexually exploited by other
artists or art patrons. And this was kind of something that um was normal in
the art world. After the assault, Reena and Lisa left Epstein's home. Outside, Reena still
felt deeply unsettled until Lisa spoke to her about what had just happened. She called me the next day and she said,
"Jeffrey really liked you and you know, oh my god, like you know, you should go see him again." and and you know
Epstein draws Rina in
immediately after that the secretary called and told me that Jeffree wanted
to see me again and um we made an appointment and I went over to the
house. I still wanted to sell my paintings and and my my sculptures and I
was hoping that he would buy something or I would get something from from going
over there um in this business in the art world.
A collector will usually not buy an artist's work, especially if they're an
unknown artist um after seeing it for the first time. They usually like having
relationships with the artist um knowing them for a while. Like it may take
sometimes a couple years for a collector to buy a piece or several months. The
second time I went to see him, I was escorted directly into that room. not
the study, but the room where the first assault took place. And then I entered the room. There's actually a stranger or
another girl in the room with Jeffrey and they were both waiting for me. She
actually ended up being someone that I knew. She was a sex worker who uh was a
exotic dancer that my ex-boyfriend had met at while she was working and she was
giving him a life dance and they became friends and you know it was really
shocking to see this girl that I never liked and and then to see her in that room waiting with Jeffrey Epstein. I
think even to this day that she was going to participate in um you know an act of you know like
sexual assault. Um but since we knew each other and there was some sort of
history he um forfeited like making us do something in in front
of him or or nothing really happened that day. Yeah. me sit next to him, pull up a chair, and that's when he offered
the art scholarship to go to art school. And that's something that um I really
wanted to do for for a long time, but I just I couldn't afford it, and my
parents didn't want to pay to send me to art school. I think he absolutely used
that um strategically to
uh establish a longterm relationship between abuser and victim. Um a 4-year
degree equals 4 years of ongoing um abuse.
But at the time I had no idea that that's what it was going to be. I accepted the scholarship right away. Um,
and he just told me, "You should follow up um with with his employees and they
were going to make all the arrangements." And he even told me which school to to study at. He said, "You
should go to the School of Visual Arts. That's where I'm sending you." It he didn't ask me, "What art school would
you like to go to?" and I actually wanted to go to Parson School of Design. Um, but he told me where he wanted me to
go. So, I I just listened to him. I was like, um, I wasn't going to argue with someone who's offering to pay for art
school. Soon, the scholarship became a tool Epstein used against Reena. But then, he continued to lure me back
into the townhouse. Jeffrey traveled a lot. um he was either in Florida or or
on his island or you know traveling to Europe and whenever he returned to New
York I would get a phone call and there was an appointment that would be made
and each time I went back I felt like I needed to go back cuz now he was paying for my art education
and you know the philanthropist who's financing my education
is calling me to come see him. And so it it it was very hard to say no.
And I didn't say no and I did go back whenever he called. And in the beginning it was several times a week and it went
on for several months. He always liked telling me to sit down next to him on the desk like he was giving me a lecture
What Epstein wanted
of some kind. So I I quietly sat next to him while he gave me a lecture. He also
just loved speaking instead of listening. Like he was very um well he's
he was absolutely a narcissist. So narcissists usually like hearing their own voice and they don't really allow
the other person to speak. So he was very intimidating and also he dominated
the conversations all the time. He called himself my mentor. So I I viewed
him as this sort of like older um you know like teacher type of person
and that's the type of relationship we had except that he would take me into strange dark rooms and something would
happen with my teacher. I never showed him that I was upset because I'm I'm
from the Korean culture and um he was an older man um close to my parents age
actually and you know I just viewed him as someone who was older than me that I
should never disrespect. It's it's it goes against my cultural values to talk
back to someone who was older than me. I never talked back to him. I I never
interrupted him when he spoke. I always just like listened and and that's why um
he really liked me a lot and Jeffrey always told me how obedient I was. I
The role of "massage"
can't remember um every single time. The times I do remember very very vividly
are every single time that some stranger was in that room with him. And um I
certainly didn't like it. That's not something I consented to. It was always a female and it was always a a certified
massage therapist or someone who was get who was there to give them like a massage who knew how to actually like
give a massage. To this day, I have an issue with professional massage
therapists, especially if they're female and especially if they knew him and they were around him. I automatically think
that they participated in the abuse of the victims. And I hear a lot of these
stories of the other girls, they were asked to give him a massage. He never asked me, Reena, give me a massage. I
was never shown by anyone how to give Jeffrey Epstein a massage.
Um, and that's just something that wasn't asked of me. I actually never participated in that type of behavior.
And at the same time, it's really triggering to hear the word massage in
the massage room. Like I hate using that word alto together. And I I have renamed it the red room because it was very red.
That the room was very obscure and dark. And um maybe he did that strategically
so that the victims wouldn't remember too many of the details because if it
was very well lit, I think I would have remembered more of everything that
happened in that room. Um but it was pretty dark. He never asked like me or
anyone else that I I I saw in that room to touch him like that part of his body.
He mostly liked to watch like the girls um either with each other or or just
watch a naked girl in the room or or he would usually do something to me like
I'm not I wasn't doing something to him. And I know there are a lot of rumors

about um tapes existing and how he may have taped all of his victims. I don't
think that's true because um I don't think he would have wanted to to be seen
like you know fully exposed um and and showing um his deformed like genitals
because he was really really deformed. And if there was any type of um uh
filming, maybe those cameras may have pointed in a different part of the room where he
was not in the scene. You know, maybe the cameras were
pointing to um you know, the end of the massage table, for example, and maybe that's
where things happen with other girls. Um, and then maybe he sat in the corner
because I do recall Jeffree sitting in the corner several times when I was
surprised by by these massage therapists in in that room. Then without warning, Epstein revoked
Epstein's abuse escalates
Reena's scholarship, forcing her to drop out of art school. He took that away um when he wasn't
getting what he wanted out of me. He wanted me to come back on my own and I
never did that. I never picked up the phone, called his secretary, um, anyone that worked for him or called
him directly and told him I wanted to come over like most of the other girls. He always had to come um he always had
to call me or or have someone call me to go see him. And after he took that away,
um, he commissioned me to make a painting. Um
and and then I used that money to go on a on a vacation and then I came back from the
trip. He like knew exactly when I was coming back too. He called me to come see him. Um
and I went from that to he offered me a place to live for but only for a short
amount of time. for the time period where I stayed in one of the apartments. I
must have gone over there almost every day and I felt like if I didn't go to the townhouse, I was going to get kicked
out of the apartment. The deeper Epstein drew Reena into his world, the more severe the abuse became.
He just tried new things with me, you know, repeatedly to see um how he can
test my boundaries. And it escalated pretty quickly um
especially with the strangers, you know, who were surprising me in the
room with him. And due to the fact that it escalated so quickly,
it just became normalized when I was around him that these things
were happening. A month later, he was offering me a job. Like he even told me where I was going to work. He got me
this job. All of a sudden, working for a charity, a children's charity. And
you know, it's it's not what I wanted to do. I expected a job in the art world.
you know, maybe working for a really nice art gallery, for example,
um or working with a famous artist as an assistant. That would have been a great
opportunity. But now he he was controlling what I was doing with my life. He was donating money to a charity
and then I was getting paychecks from this charity. Like he was paying for my salary. Kind of felt like he was trying
to buy me and I didn't like it. I ended up pursuing a full-time job that I got
on my own, not through Jeffrey, and and and I felt independent and I liked it.
Um, I don't think he liked it very much, but he pretended that he liked it. And then aside from that, I also was working
on a sculpture project through the art foundations that had supported my work
since I was in high school. Then he took the apartment away. So there was a lot of confusion. This is very common, a
very common tactic that sex predators use on their victims. And it's a it's a
it they're grooming to control you so that you will feel powerless.
You know, they have all the power. they're controlling you. And there's also um like a suspense and and a
feeling of like the unknown and to always fear that something will be taken
away or or they'll do something that you do not expect. And by then I was so
disassociated. I have no idea what was happening to me. and he was just sort of like like making me dance from every
angle like and you know like poking me like here I'm giving you this but I'm taking it away. After turning Reena's
life upside down once again, Epstein moved on obsessing about plans for his next vacation.
Epstein island
So for many many months um he asked me um you know will you go with me to the
island? who really wanted to take me to the island from from like the very beginning and I always refused to go
where I told him I couldn't go. I always had an excuse and at the time I couldn't really travel. I didn't have um
permanent residency status but I had my application um that was pending and I was waiting to
be interviewed and I just didn't want to leave the country until I had my green card. Then I recall um Jeffrey calling
the pilot and asking him, you know, uh explaining the situation and the pilot
told him, well, it's a domestic flight. She can absolutely go and I still didn't want to leave because it's outside of
the domestic US. And so I still said no. And and then he suggested Florida
instead. And that's how I ended up going to Florida. At the Florida house, Reena met Galain Maxwell and saw how she and

Epstein operated together. He was not very fond of her. It seemed like they were like like like worst
enemies when when I saw the two of them together and um they argued a lot and
they they had this kind of like back and forth and they were constantly insulting
each other and I never I had never seen people interact that way before in my life. He would make some like obscene
gestures at her and then she would gesture back and I thought it was really
strange and bizarre. But then Jeffree was a bizarre person. I I never suspected that the two of them had a
romantic relationship in the past. I I thought for many many years that it was all a lie. It was a a setup and it was a
front for something else that the two of them were doing together. And it wasn't until the Maxwell trial and the FBI
released um these images of the two of them together in in like intimate
settings. And I was shocked to see that if they were a couple at at in the beginning at some point, this would have
been like the end of a really bitter divorce. Reena quickly realized the trip was
A trip to the Florida house
nothing like Epstein had promised. He made it sound like a vacation when he
initially invited me. There was another girl that was there with me. We were just contained
in the house. Anytime we left the house, we were escorted by Jeffrey. Um, he had
access to cars and Gilan had access to cars. Um, they were freely going in and
out of the house. I didn't have any money. I just didn't even know where I was. and
it wasn't a fun trip for me. Reena felt a surge of relief when she saw a familiar face arrive. Virginia
Virginia Giuffre
Roberts, later known as Virginia Dury. I met Virginia in New York, but it was a
very short meeting. It was like an introduction. Virginia was over at the house almost every day and at one point
I actually even saw her bringing girls and leaving the house with the girl. and met her ex-boyfriend
um several times. He was driving her back and forth and and the other girls. Virginia and Gilan were very very close
that I noticed. Um they they had a very close relationship. If Gilan were
teacher and Virginia was a student, uh Virginia would have been the teacher's
pet. So that's the type of relationship the two of them had. He explained why
Virginia was there. He said, "I'm waiting for her to turn 18 and then I'm going to start doing things with her."
He told me when I was 21, I was too old. I knew she was getting groomed from that
day going forward. The trip continued to spiral, becoming a full-blown nightmare.
Rina refuses Epstein
Jeffrey attempted to abuse me with another stranger
at the house in Florida. He just told me like, "Meet me here at this time." And
then I went up and and you know I thought he was going to be there alone and then here's another stranger and um
yeah he attempted to do something and I actually um that was the only time that I walked out of the room
um because they were already engaged in something and and you know like I I went
in and then I went out. Even then Epstein kept testing and crossing Reena's boundaries. the stories
that I've heard um from Jeffrey. He has told me a lot of different stories and he thinks they're really funny. He
thought they were funny stories and I thought they were really gross and mortifying stories of girls doing things
to each other. Gilan was involved and she was facilitating all of this. Jeffrey told me that Gilan had something
Ghislaine's "surprise"
to show me upstairs like go meet Gilan in the bedroom. And I just initially
like, you know, immediately when he told me this, I I was like scared to death.
What does this mean? I'm going upstairs into the bedroom and she's waiting for me in the bedroom. So, I thought she was
going to assault me. Like this was going to be like a three-way another, you
know, surprise situation. but it's with Gilon now. That's what I thought was
initially going to happen. Um, but no, she actually wanted to show me her
closet and she gestured for me to come and she just had this huge grin on her
face and I didn't know what to expect and she just opened these this door and and pulled out a jar and and there were
all these sex toys that were in there and um there were things that I never
saw around Jeffree before, so I knew these were hers. I want to know what she
was doing with those items or what the others were doing with those items because we have the testimony of the
former butler that worked at the Florida mansion who testified and said he had to
clean these objects. We need to figure out what was really going on in that Florida house and why no one is asking
questions about that closet that Gilon had and what were the girls doing with
these things. They want to know if there were any adult like females that were doing things to these like minor girls
that were in high school. And uh I want these answers.

Soon after Epstein pulled Reena aside
for another horrifying surprise. He asked me, "Rena, have you ever heard
of a Thai massage? Like do you know what that is?" And I was like, "No, what's a Thai massage?" And he described what it
was. And then he explained to me that he went to Thailand. And he told me the
last one he got was from a 12-year-old Thai, you know, a prostitute. He
just called her a prostitute. He also during the same conversation told me
that he went to Thailand to engage in sex acts and he called them child prostitutes and that really bothered me.
He just viewed these girls as prostitutes and he was doing things with
girls in Russia and also bringing them here. But he was also doing a lot of
darker things with even younger girls and those were the Asian girls. His
number one thing was little Asian girls and they were much younger than 14 years
old and he traveled to Asian countries to engage in in you know really bad
things with these children. This is where I get really angry. This is just outright inhumane. I actually repeated
what he told me. I told Virginia and that's how Virginia found out about the
Thai massage fetish that he had. And then she went back and told him the next day what I had said. Virginia used that
as an opportunity to try to get rid of me.
He was clearly up to something with Ghislaine and and Ghislaine didn't like the
other girls that that were not loyal to her. I was not there for her. The other
girl that was staying at the house was also not there for her and she didn't like either one of us. And then he, you
know, asked me to sit down again the following day and then he yelled at me. Like that was the first time I really
saw him get really angry and scary, and he was mortified. That was
like one of his biggest secrets that she didn't even know. And Ghislaine didn't even know this. And I assumed they all knew,
you know, like this was like an open secret of his and it wasn't. He had only told me, and I betrayed him, and he
threatened me that day. You know, he told me he was going to do something to me if I ever told anyone what really
went on around him. And I kind of started
distancing myself from Jeffrey after that trip. I had tolerated so much of
his behavior, but that was just something that I just like I didn't want to be around him.

After that trip,
I saw very little of Jeffrey um going forward for for a while. He knew I was
busy working on my sculpture project. I didn't have a cell phone, so he didn't
have a way to reach me, but that was around the time that Virginia started
traveling with him a lot. Finally, Epstein managed to reach Reena and pressured her into coming to see
him. The last time I saw him, that's something I don't want to share. It's actually very triggering, and I may get a
panic attack if I start talking about it. He clearly did something that really upset me, and he knew it. He actually got
very defensive because of how upset I got. You know, it's very natural for a narcissist, someone with narcissistic
personality disorder, to get angry when they're confronted with doing something wrong. And that was his reaction was
anger. I had left that house crying. I ran down the street. That's how bad it was. And it was
winter. And I just remember how cold it was. And it just felt like icicles
were hitting like my skin. Like I just felt like all the energy just
draining out of my body. It was really like horrible. I never saw him after that.
I just didn't want anything to do with him.

To this day I have not walked
down that street. I have kind of like inched my way around like the corner
maybe, but I haven't um been back to uh
East 71st Street in over two decades.
I reacted by starving myself, you know, because I hated what he did to me that
last day that much. That's the lasting damage that something like this can
cause a victim. And most people, they don't understand because they haven't
been through this. But but other survivors, they know and they
understand because they also had these issues. A lot of us have um PTSD
and um you know body dysmorphia issues because of of things that were out of
control after that incident took place. I just cut off New York City from my
Rina flees Epstein's world
life. I avoided um Manhattan altogether for for a very long time because I didn't want to run
into anyone that knew Jeffrey Epstein or anyone associated with Jeffrey Epstein. I stopped speaking to Lisa Phillips,
too. Um, any of the other girls that were around Jeffrey. I started um a whole new group
of friends that were not part of this scene. I ended up in Williamsburg. You
know, I was with like a completely different social class. and I starked my
body for for about a year until I I didn't recognize myself
anymore in the mirror and um and I knew I had a problem when when I was able to
feel like my spine and and I started seeing ribs and um I checked myself into
uh you know an outpatient clinic and I had to learn how to eat again. It
A new life
was maybe like 3 years later that I met my husband and um
it wasn't until I um I had to feed another um sorry
another life um inside my body
that I um I started um
finally um having a federal a relationship with food and my body
because I I had to feed someone else.
And it took me that that's what it took um for me to be okay with the way I
looked. And um
and it was for the first time that I stopped counting calories and
after my children were born, I uh I pursued uh a culinary career
and uh I began to love food for the first time in a long time.
Before Reena could process or even speak about what had happened to her, she was publicly portrayed as Epstein's
Rina's story is stolen from her
girlfriend and a recruiter. For me, it led to uh years um of um
mental anguish, stress, and not being able to live normally.
Um I was basically nonfunctional for my family. And I'm really angry about this.
The government doesn't identify me as a recruiter. They told me that I was just
a victim and um unfortunately I had to file a lawsuit to prove that I was a
victim that got victimized by Jeffrey Epste. People started treating me differently. My husband says that's the
way you should have been treated from day one, but you were falsely labeled. Today, Reena is dedicated to helping
other survivors feel safe enough to come forward and to uncovering any international crimes committed by
Epstein and members of his inner circle. Everyone knows Thailand is a hot spot
What Rina is demanding from the government
for pedophiles. Now, I'm tying Jeffrey Epstein to Thailand and him going to Thailand and
participating in these acts. Virginia was sent to Thailand to sex traffic a
little small Asian child to bring back for Jeffrey to exploit. I want to know
who else went on these sex trafficking trips because he was sending other massage therapists to different exotic
locations all over the world. And I want to know if there were massage therapists who were traveling around the world
bringing back children for Jeffrey Epstein to exploit. Jeffree is no longer here, but the victims, I hope they're
still alive, and I hope they start coming forward. I I do want the United States government to work with the
government of Thailand and help these victims come forward and start speaking
cuz we need we need the whole truth now. We need a full transparency of what he
did everywhere else, not just Florida. And anyone who enabled this behavior,
they should be prosecuted.
